Nice work. A couple of helpful tips for you. When you find your images don't fill the five panels and want to cut your layout down to four (4:23 in your video), it's easier to use Image-->Canvas Size rather than Image Size. It will resize your canvas without "squeezing" the images you have in your composition. Then you can rework your image layout as desired from there. Also, it'd probably be really helpful and more efficient if you add the guides to your canvas display before you even place any images. This way you can see how each carousel panel will be cropped as you work on your layout right from the start. Keep up the good work.
i quite literally come back to this video every time i want to use this trick so just wanted to give you a shoutout & say how helpful this has been for me!! thanks so much :)
This was super helpful! I've been trying to figure out how to create an Instagram carousel like this! Next, you should show how to do it using only your phone!
Thanks for the info. But there is something i noticed . When you do 1080*5 or less the height remains 1350 but when you do more 1080*6 or more the height changes. Is that supposed to be ok or is there away of correcting this
Hey ! I have some difficulties at the export : I obtain only one jpeg at the 5400 x 1350 pix format. Do you know what should I modify to have my five separated images ? Thank you !
hi! I dont know if you can read this. what a great tutorial! it really helped me in creating social media publications for my work. just a little question. how come when i export the file, the only jpeg file is the first artboard and the rest are in gif format. can you help me what to do about it?
Very useful video, but I do exactly the same thing with photos which are 20 megabytes each and in the end it saves everything to a 10mb image even though I put jpeg maximum, and when I post it on instagram you can see the decrease in quality from the single photos to the carousel, is there a way to fix this?
Loved It. Only weird thing is that even though I select JPEG from the file type dropdown - the file type that is actually saved is gif. It's got to be my set-up though.
Oh also to quickly change width for different number of images, you can set your target image width in the Image Size window, turn off the Lock ratio button, set width to percentage, and then 200% for two images wide, 300% for 3, etc.
Help - crop individual images on the collage Does anyone know how I can crop the individual images I added in the collage? Most of the time the image section is too large and I have to crop the individual images. But I can't do that beforehand because I only see in the collage which image section I need... And somehow I can only make the individual images larger or smaller, but not crop them...
Is anyone getting TWO little lines when adding the guide lines? For some reason i'm getting 2 lines at each line break so i'm losing a small spot of the pictures when i slice. Any suggestions?
Something about your face and mouth makes it very hard to distinguish from AI. The age of this video gave it away quicker than my eyes did. This is not a diss, I just think it's fascinating. And if you were ever so inclined, You could really mess with people for fun in the next year or two.

Also making the Image and its respective reel combined as a smart object, to avoid multiple scaling's
I watched 4 videos on how to do this, and yours was by far the best. You're a great teacher, I hope you do more how-to videos like this in the future.
i quite literally come back to this video every time i want to use this trick so just wanted to give you a shoutout & say how helpful this has been for me!! thanks so much :)
This was so simple and clear, and your calm voice just made it so much easier to follow than the others I tried! Thaaaaaaanks :)
This is honestly the best tutorial for this on youtube. Thank you for making it! Hope the alogrithm pushes you to the top!

This was so helpful. I watched and tried it today, and the result was a beautiful seamless carousel.
Glad it was helpful!
Very helpful.. please do you have any idea why my carousel save as a gif file even after changing the settings to jpeg in save for web?
2:20 to anyone who doesn't wanna do the math for the width, you can do 1080*4 or 1080*5 and it'll change automatically.
great tip!

Great stuff, thanks. Also the chillest tute I've ever watched.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Hey, this was great, but my images are coming out as a GIF? I followed your method and re tried. Do you know why this is?
Mine is the same, havee you found a solution?
Same, how did you fix it?
Then you upload the photos by computer or phone? Because I tried by phone and i lost quality :/
Thank you so much for making this easier for us. Much appreciated. 😊
You are so welcome!
Can someone help me, when I’m saving for the web it’s not breaking up the photos into the squares to post on Instagram. Thanks!
Hey! For some reason, instagram is still cropping the carousel post, even at this resolution... any ideas? Very annyoing.
Oh my god! Light on you just perfect!
This is such a good video, My Ps is automatically exporting to GIF even tho I select JPEG, any idea why?
When I’ve saved it all the images have this strange effect on it?
What the hell , you the only one who simply explained this lol . Wow !!!!
Loved It. Only weird thing is that even though I select JPEG from the file type dropdown - the file type that is actually saved is gif. It's got to be my set-up though.
I'm getting the same thing, I think Adobe may have messed something up...
I run into the same problem 🫠
>> go to save for web
-> click on Original or Optimize
-> ctrl+shift+ click on all the slices
-> Choose formats
It may help you :))
What made you click on the “save for web legacy” and not “export as” ? Any difference at all if you’re just uploading it to Instagram ?
Oh also to quickly change width for different number of images, you can set your target image width in the Image Size window, turn off the Lock ratio button, set width to percentage, and then 200% for two images wide, 300% for 3, etc.
May be a dumb question but how do you change the color of the white space?
Thanks! Do you have an idea why my photoshop saves images in GIF? I have checked several times - doing it all right.
Same, how did you resolve that?
I'm having issues finding the slides tool during crop in Photoshop.

Greets from Russia!
Love the tutorial! Thank you!! Taking my IG up a few notches!
Hey, how did you have your images on standby??
What lighting setup do U use to record your videos?
When I save my photoshop file like this, my Mac saves the last file as a jpeg but the first files are gif files. Any idea why?
-> go to save for web
-> click on Original or Optimized
-> ctrl+shift + click on all the slices
-> Choose format
and boom !

Something about your movements is triggering my fight or flight
Don't understand how you're dragging and dropping photos in, you don't explain it.
