@@morganwentworth2041 If her mom’s house expenses went up significantly, I don’t blame her. Honestly, a lot of people get REALLY comfortable when they move back home and either don’t care or don’t realize that them being there increases bills, and because it’s family and not a landlord, they might even feel like they can do whatever they want and not respect the property/house rules. Driving her rent up could’ve also been to push her to save money and move out. Any working adult *should* contribute money to the home regardless of what their relationship is to the owner(s). A lot of times, it’s not really the space that parents charge you for, it’s the cost of letting you live there (food, water, power, internet, etc.). She was no longer a child so her mom was under no obligation to continue to house her. Did she ever say what she was paying prior to the rent increase? I don’t think I ever heard her say how much her mom was initially charging her. That leaves me to believe that the answer was $0. If that’s the case, $300 is nothing (even 10 years ago), but she acted like it was some outrageous price.

Nurse here! 👩‍⚕️ Yes, we buy our own scrubs, stethoscopes, etc. It kind of sucks, but at the same time it gives us the ability to express ourselves through fashion (and comfort) too. And We’re actually compensated well for our time (at least in Canada anyway). Lots of us make 6 figures a year. Legitimately. And yes, it also sucks that we have fees to practice, but it’s for our insurance. It’s for our UNION (who actually help us negotiate even better pay, or fund extra training). We are guaranteed a pay check for every hour we work, which these women can’t say about themselves. We get benefits. We get paid time off. We ALSO don’t have to recruit other nurses!!!! Sheesh. Even in a pandemic I’d still rather be a nurse than in an MLM. And if I saw ANY person trying to recruit any of my ER patients, they would be getting one heck of an earful from me. That kind of behaviour is PREDATORY and unbelievably disgusting.

I recently found this channel and cannot get enough. Luckily, I am a little late to the game and there are plenty of videos for me to binge. Now, with this one, I am only ten minutes in and already cannot believe what I am seeing! I have had some struggles in life. I have not always made the best decisions or been able to manage impulses. And I am SO grateful that I no longer buy into these statements that there is something wrong with me for every single thing that has happened. Sure, there is much that I need to take responsibility for. However, there are so many things that life throws at people that are completely out of anyone's control. Now, people telling people lies trying to get them to spend money and trying to get their hopes up about a large paycheck that won't happen...that they will keep chasing by spending their own money seems like a decision that is pretty calculated.
    Thank you for these videos!!

Ok, I’m a nurse and I’ve been in an mlm. My job has always paid me. I show up and I get paid. With the mlm, I went live, I used the products, I reached out to people, I embarrassed myself because I thought that the extra $300 a month was worth it. It wasn’t. Let’s talk about paying to work. Most hospitals do payroll deduct or will reimburse you up to a certain amount for scrubs. If you’re spending 100k for your nursing degree you either have your masters or went to a super prestigious university. Also NONE of my friends are working second jobs waitressing or whatever. If they work extra jobs it’s because they want more money. I do agree that nurses and teachers are underpaid, especially teachers. Also, if you need need more than what you’re making while making decent money - it’s usually due to other circumstances. Yes debt exists but this generalization of nurses constantly struggling is not the norm. At least, not it the circle I know and that’s nurses in different areas in a whole state geographically and different facets of nursing. Also, there are nurses who travel and easily make 3k A WEEK. And another thing, of course licenses cost money! Don’t you have to pay for your driver’s license?! These two are delusional. I think they believe everything they are saying. It’s great to te found success but the majority won’t.

Yes! Most hospitals will help pay for you to advance your degree too, ans at the end of the day you have more knowledge and skills to rely on. I dont understand why protecting patients by requiring continuing education and making sure that our licenses are up to date is a bad thing either 🙃

Omg the whole victim predator thing is making my brain hurt.
It is just like groomers and pedos. They find vulnerable people and get them into their grasp, some times those people grow up and hurt other vulnerable people.
Was the original person a victim? Yes
Are they the predator now? Yes
...how do they not grasp this concept.
How are they rich without having brains it's crazy

I think what upsets me the most is their lack of logic. They are babbling. I know so many strong women thinkers, and these two embarrass me, as a woman who values critical thinking. Thank you Hannah for bringing your calm thoughtful analysis to this arena.

Watching Jessie in this video verses her in the live Erin and JulieJo reacted to last night is astounding. The persona she puts on for videos like these is so fake it's uncomfortable. And listening to Colleen talk is about a exciting as watching paint dry.

Colleen seemed completely lost here. I have to say though, as off the wall as JLW can act, Colleen’s smirking condescension is even more aggravating for me personally. Don’t get me wrong, they’re both awful. But there’s just something about Colleen that screams “I was a Mean Girl™️ in high school!”

All the MLMs have the same rhetoric. I left my MLM in 2019. I spent months feeling as though I’d escaped a cult.
There were fewer anti-MLM creators then. Your content is important because more people will be inspired to leave and fewer people will likely join.

It makes me happy to see a lot of these mlm ladies are spending their time in trying to “debunk” antimlm. At least they are spending less time trying to scam new people but putting the effort into continue to brainwashing their existing teams. I’ll wait by the sidelines to see how this all plays out. Thank you Hannah for being a face and voice for the anti mlm movement!! ♥️

My CPR training is free through my employer, my license is $180 every 2 years, and I make over 6 figures. I have excellent benefits including 2 retirement funds, paid time off. I have often 5 days of between shifts. These women know nothing. How dare they laugh at my profession as a RN.

I know I’m very late to the comment game, so you might not see this. I recently found your channel in the last few months and just came across this one. Your patience was really shining through with this one, Hannah. I have NEVER not finished one of your videos, but I couldn’t even make it halfway through this one. I feel that a lot of people who you cover have just been manipulated and so their gross behavior (while not excusable) is a little more understandable to see how they reached that point. But this…. This is awful. She made me viscerally angry. Thank you for covering these stories and shining a light on the terrible people at the top.

And on a sidenote, thank you for being so respectful while making these videos. I had to stop watching another anti-MLM creator because it got disrespectful and a little bit toxic. I love that you stay true to yourself and that information!

Colleen claims that if it was male-dominated the anti-MLM movement wouldn't be so big...except I've seen _hundreds_ of videos about male-centric scams (Gary V, Tai Lopez, etc) and in fact, those videos are *harsher* than most anti-MLM videos I have ever seen.

    • @christiesanchez4013

There are PLENTY of male TH-camrs bashing scam self-improvement courses targeted to men. Like that $18K weekend boot camp "designed" to turn out-of-shape white-collar workers into "real men." While MLMs certainly target vulnerable women, women do not have a monopoly on getting scammed.

I'm washing the dishes right now but I have to stop to comment because you read my mind! If they have proof that MLM is a good business model, why don't they debunk the points made in anti-MLM videos? They can't!
This is why I'll watch your reaction to content others have already covered, you always say what I'm thinking!
