The credit card has to be paid off, at high interest rates, regardless of how little you make. Hat woman keeps on about millionaires. She can't know any. My parents were wealthy because my father has a very successful group of Jewellery Stores. They would never brag about that. It's vulgar. Same with some friends who are wealthy, they are successful but don't talk about it. It's vulgar. I'm successful because I have a great education (thanks mom & dad) and work hard at a job I love. My monthly salary if very healthy. I own my house and car. I have insurances and investments. All my friends are gainfully employed and don't need pyramid schemes. She talks about her hustle. Her bringing up the Stella Lieback coffee case makes my blood boil. That poor woman received third degree burns and lived the rest of her life in pain. McDonald's purposefully overheated their coffee to temperatures that cause THIRD DEGREE BURNS and people act like Stella was silly and didn't realize it was slightly warm. Before Stella, dozens of employees sustained serious burns from the coffee. It's not something to roll your eyes at
    Every "frivolous lawsuit" against a major corporation is likely actually a serious issue. Companies pay millions to have a PR team spin a lawsuit to sound overblown and senseless to cover up their own misconduct

    • @hauntedshadowslegacy2826
      @hauntedshadowslegacy2826 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      More than just that, McDonald's specifically went out of their way to financially fund 'campaigns' against Stella, dragging her name and her perfectly valid lawsuit through the mud intentionally. They knew she was in the right, they knew she had a valid case, and they still thought it was okay to literally pay people to call her suit 'frivolous' and protest on McD's behalf. Too few people realized that a multi-million-dollar corporation demonizing a single old lady could've been a ploy for public sympathy.

    • @norrieanthony5056
      @norrieanthony5056 2 ปีที่แล้ว +56

      I thought the same thing about this. How can a person get third degree burns from spilling a little bit of coffee? It must be a scam. Then I saw an actual picture of this elderly lady with these horrible, burns. It must have spilled directly on her skin. It was true. I’m glad she won.

    • @indigothecat

      If I remember right, it was much worse. I think McDonald's settled out of court and paid her bills, but she was also hit with some kind of a gag order so she wasn't allowed to talk about it; and that's when McDonald's let conspiracy theories run wild about stupid frivolous lawsuits.

    I think the hun was talking about her previous job having a dress code, which is pretty universal. Sometimes you have a uniform, sometimes it’s just “business casual” or something, but it’s especially important when you’re interacting with the public. I can see why a person might be annoyed by it, but nobody wants to eat at a restaurant where the cooks don’t have their hair tied back and look like they just walked in off the street. Nobody will take a lawyer seriously if they show up to court in sweatpants and a hoodie. Maybe it isn’t fair, but that’s how people work. They expect you to dress for the job you have. 🤷‍♀️

    I work in HR and I just gotta say, from an HR perspective these girls have a really odd view of what a modern, "corporate" job looks like. We're in the middle of the "great resignation" right now, meaning there are SO many companies trying to hire and offering great job opportunities, compensation, benefits, etc. If they were in "corporate" jobs that they didn't like, didn't feel passionate about, didn't feel like they could be their authentic selves at, etc., they probably should've considered trying to find a job with a different company rather than.....paying money to become an independent contractor for a company that doesn't offer you any guaranteed income, doesn't offer any benefits, offers zero job security... I could go on but I won't.
    Anyway, keep up the great work!

    Thank you for talking about the McDonald's lawsuit. I went into the comments while watching to explain the details of the case, then you went into it! It's ridiculous that people use that as a frivolous case when in reality, the woman was scalded by coffee hot enough to create 3rd-degree burns.

      Thank you! I was thinking this, too. If you like hats, rock a hat, but it seems odd to wear a hat in your own home, especially on a Zoom call. It makes me wonder if she’s hiding something. Maybe it’s a bad hair day or maybe her MLM shampoo made her hair fall out, too.

      @@erikaelyse8192Because they’re trying to hide that the products they’re selling are making their hair thin? No offense to anyone who has hair loss. No one should be made fun of for that, but if you’re selling hair products that allegedly makes people’s hair fall out, and all the reps wear hats, what am I supposed to think?

    How privileged do you have to be to say phrases such as “it’s only a couple hundred dollars or very few people don’t have the money or I see you spending $200 on nails, hair and lashes?” Actually honey, some of us DON’T have the money.
    Considering we are still in the middle of a pandemic where the economy is still suffering. Some of us never get our hair, nails and lashes routinely done. I’ve had my nails done ONCE this year and I’ve NEVER had false lashes.
    These people are an absolute joke honestly. They have clearly never struggled to pay bills, feed themselves, cloth themselves and make a living. It makes me so upset that MLM’s will never truely go away because the world is far too corrupt for something like that to happen.
    These people will always be disgusting, privileged, condescending and patronising people because it’s ingrained into their souls. They were born rubbish and they will stay rubbish forever. No matter what happens these people will spend their dying breaths ruining the lives of other people and there’s far too many of them out there.

      Ohhh, I hear you so loud. It’s like when women’s magazines have articles about “clothes on a tight budget!” and the article is full of $75 skirts or $98 tops. If I could afford to pay $180 (with tax) for one skirt and one shirt, I wouldn’t be looking at “fashion on a budget,” articles.
      And yeah, I don’t get manicures or pedicures. I wax my own legs, cut and dye my own hair and my daughters’s hair…I can’t afford $50 for one scarf or $35 for one candle (and the article always shows like two dozen of those candles all around the room). It astonishes me that these women have so little concept of a life unlike theirs.

      This is VERY good point! My financial situation got better recently, so I was thinking about putting some money towards stricte beauty and I'm a bit shocked, how expensive it is to have your nails, lashes and hair done monthly...
      I actually started suspecting that some woman who love it, but aren't making much money can have financial problems only due to that, because it is expensive and you need to have really solid income to don't feel it in your budget... And even with solid income, there are still so many more important things, on which you can spend this money instead... You can go on a vacation if you just do your hair and nails by yourself in home instead of paying professional to do it for you! That's crazy for me.

    • @MusikGirl23

      Yeah! I have never gotten my nails or any kind of makeup done professionally, and as I had my hair cut short about 3 years ago and have been growing it out, I haven’t spent money on hair besides shampoo and conditioner since late May of 2019. I do like nail polish but I do it myself, and I generally don’t even wear makeup, maybe to weddings lol! I run a legitimate small business teaching music but a primerica hun very temporarily (less than a month) recruited me back in 2012 when I was just 21 and starting my business. Looking back, I was so gullible but I didn’t even know what a pyramid scheme was! Let alone MLM. Primerica made me so disillusioned with the world that I was crying every day worrying about the future. A good friend told me that if something was feeling that wrong, it was that wrong, and I got out after about 3.5 weeks. I for sure won’t be buying from anything that has a ‘party’ etc, I don’t have the money! And I don’t want to support MLMs.

    I've literally never heard anyone be excited while saying they get to work wherever they want, including on vacation. Like, girl what?! No, you don't "get to work" you HAVE to work because you're in an mlm. They try and make it seem like you can make your own hours while everyone's on calls in the middle of the night, in their bed or on vacation, apparently. But then if you're not working during those times, you're not making money and they'll shame you for not grinding hard enough. It's actually insane.
