Great use for the quilt. It is adorable. I have a wardrobe of quilted vests. Love them. They never go out of style.

This is so cute! Thank you for the tutorial.
Just curious; is there a reason you used 1-step bias tape on the arms and 2-step everywhere else?
Did you have any issues with the hem laying flat where you used the 2-step and folded the quilted material over?

Thanks so much! I used 2 different tapes because it's what I had on hand! I found the same color in 2 different sizes at a thrift store but did not have enough of one size for the whole project. I thankfully didn't have any issues for it laying flat! It wears really nicely.

I have the same sewing machine but everytime I do a back stitch the thread snaps? Do you have any tips to stop it from snapping?

Hi! I would guess it is an incorrect tension setting OR a dull needle. If I have snapping threads I always check my tension first and then replace my needle :)

Hey if we were to not use a quilt and a usual cotton fabric, how can we make sure it is still sturdy and thick?

Hi! I would probably line the cotton with another fabric to make it thicker! You could also use an interfacing to make it thicker.
