Female F-35C Lightning II fighter pilot assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 97. She is the U.S. Navy’s first woman to directly select F-35C Lightning II postgraduate training after earning her Wings of Gold (Naval Aviator Qualifications) in October 2021.

Didn't they have to recalibrate the ejections seats on ALL fighter jets just for females?? Cannot wait until the military lose them for half a year when they start having kids!?!? Bill Clinton forced this on the military.

@@tylerdurden4006 Wrong!!! Not sure where you get your information from but that's patently false. The F-35C that crashed upon landing on the Carl Vinson on the 24th of January 2022 was a male pilot. The F-35B that crashed in Texas on the 15th of December 2022 was flown by a male pilot as well. None of the crashes involving all three variants were flown by female pilots. Get your facts straight and stop lying!

To be able to climb up the ladder into the cockpit with all that gear on is amazing; she is wearing a "jumpsuit" that fills with air to prevent blood from rapidly going from the head to lower extremities when pulling high G-forces (4-7) causing the person to momentarily pass out; definitely a young person's game!!! I would say 90% of these pilots are in their twenties , early thirties.
She's also wearing a life jacket so that when she lands that in the ocean she doesn't drownd like most female "pilots" have a nack of doing

Probably a the price of a Tesla or two in all that gear, esp the head up display helmet.
I read that the helmet is $400 because all the electronics in it. The F-35 has a very many maintenance hours per flight hour. Not a good ground support aircraft as the A-10 and not a fighter as the F-22. Supposedly has steath that the others don't. The bean counters was after 1plane that does everything for branches of the military.

Making history? How? A female pilot crashed an f 35 last year when she fell off the carrier into the ocean!
@@tylerdurden4006 Again, it was a male pilot who was a LT. A simple Navy Times google search will show you what happened. He was very qualified to fly, but made crucial mistakes.
She probably graduated from college in 2021, then went to flight school, so she is around 23. I have read that aviators spend their entire time as an O-1 in training.
@@KC_Smooth l don't think so .That's the story the navy put out to cover it up .lt was a female pilot and several of the sailors leaked it out ..The pentagon has been covering up the inefficiency of female military pilot mishaps every since they were forced to allow them to enter the programs

If you want to see what a female fighter pilot can do take a look at the 2023 Blue Angels Winter Training. You can see LT Amanda Lee pilot Blue Angels #3. She is an amazing pilot and absolutely deserves her spot on the team. Her Naval Career to date has been very impressive and should serve as an inspiration for any young woman or man.
Clearly you're running out of superlatives about Lt. Amanda Lee. But can you also tell us what impressive missions she has participated in?
But she is still takes place of some much better male pilots, this is a fact. The US army is on its way on degradation. Show and hipe as a n official policy 🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂.

A few notes of interest, noticed Tail Code "NE", Carrier Wing 2, I was on CV-61 85-89 Remembered those Tail Codes vividly. Would have been nice to know the Lt.'s Name and where she earned her Wings of GOLD, KINGSVILLE or meridian? VFA-97 out of Lemoore CA, noticed a LCDR's name below cockpit, this F35 was not initially her AC. I was stationed at Lemoore, 70-72 when i was in the Marines, MB Lemoore CA, very demanding tour back when Marines Guarded Gates and Special Weapons, and raised and lowered our Colors smartly. Possibly someone can answer some of my questions/concerns mentioned above. The young Lt is an awesome addition to our ever growing Naval Aviators, I guarantee her first trap on the carrier flying the T45C the pucker power is always present.
If she’ flies airplanes for the US Navy, she’s a Naval Aviator!
Because they pushed her though the program like they were ordered to do by the pentagon

As she was getting suited up, I started wondering how a hairbun fit in the helmet. Is there a hole or a cutout in the back? I kept saying c'mon turn around, turn around. And yep, there's a spot at the base of the helmet that works perfectly.
I think(don’t quote me) each pilot gets a custom fitted helmet shell.
