This girl is thoroughly impressive. She got her pilot's license at 17 years old and she was a physics major with a focus on astro physics graduating from the Air Force Academy. On top of that she's a 2nd lieutenant with the US Air Force. And she's only 22. Wow! Plus she seems like a very down to earth and authentic person. As a 30 year Retired AF Veteran, I love to see our younger generation take charge with your kind of Super Ambition and Excitement. My wife and I were present when Lt Marsh won the Miss Colorado crown. We wish her the best in the upcoming Miss America pageant. It’s nice to see the real video and not the fake one portraying her as a Ukrainian pilot which was a disservice to her accomplishments. Fly, Fight, Win and Gods Speed!
tbf Ukrainian pilots are the most accomplished combat pilots in the world currently and will make fearsome F16 pilots very shortly, so it's no insult whatsoever, but yes, it is fantastic to see her as herself and commended for her achievements
The AF is NOT people oriented. This person has people backing her but there are several disconnects. She got a pilot slot and yet she also got an AFIT slot as well. Good for her but, the AF needs pilots. If she doesn't take the pilot slot she will be gone is 4 years.
@@MikeMiasuki-vy3xx JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas -The success of the Air Force relies on developing people. Current leaders need to build and mentor future leaders. There is a responsibility for Airmen (enlisted, officer, and civilian) to be the best they can be in order to support the mission. “Bottom line, we trust our Airmen.” said Col Shelly Mendieta, AETC A3/6 Deputy Director for Force Development. “We trust Airmen to make decisions - we trust their skills and their professionalism - we trust their abilities to think and execute. Our Airmen are the asymmetric advantage of the DAF. Trusting them, means that we also owe it to every Airman to invest in them and ensure they have deliberate opportunities and proper resources to develop their competencies.” The Airman’s Foundational Competency of “Develops People” starts with the mindset that development is a shared responsibility between the Airman and the development team; supervisors, leaders, mentors, and coaches. You are in a position to find out the developmental needs and career goals of your Airmen. There are Airman’s Foundational Competencies that every Airmen can build with for success. There are also occupational competencies that are specific to a uniformed member’s Air Force Specialty, or for a civilian member’s job series, as identified by senior members of the career field. As a supervisor, leader, coach, or mentor, providing an environment that supports the development of people ensures that the Air Force has a deep bench of talent to support every mission. An important part of “Develops People” is providing tools and opportunities (i.e., training, education and experiences) to improve Airmen through the use of competencies, such as MyVector, Developmental Special Experiences (DSEs), badging and credentialing, and increased responsibilities. MyVector provides Airmen access to coaches and mentors, to DSEs, and to tools like the Air Force Competency Self-Assessment (myvector.us.af.mil/myvector/home). By using this self-assessment tool, Airmen will be well on their way to self-improvement. But you can go a step further and Request Supervisor Feedback or Request 360 Feedback after completing the Self-Assessment. Once you see the power of those tools, you can recommend them to Airmen you supervise, lead, mentor, or coach. They will get the instant feedback and a plan with links to opportunities to get after competencies that are identified as needing improvement, and they will also see how others view them. Beyond the tools in MyVector, you can e-mail a link to a Ted Talk or an article you found on a soft skill you believe is relevant to an Airman’s growth. A personal e-mail helps show that you are invested in their success, just as they are. This is just one example - use your Creative Thinking foundational competency to come up with other ways to develop people. As you think about how to develop people, consider these concepts. Advocate - Find training courses, developmental programs, and guest speakers that develop people. Make it your mission to extend development beyond OJT and CDCs. Make time - Get to know the Airmen you supervise, lead, coach, and mentor. Understand what is going on in their lives and learn their career goals, passions, and worries. Find projects that help to meet their career and life goals; these may be outside their comfort zone. Advise - Do not wait for the mandatory sessions to develop people. Developmental discussions should be an ongoing process. Chat after a meeting or while getting coffee. Feedback - We don’t always see our behaviors. As a supervisor, leader, coach, and mentor, you might see a competency deficiency or ineffective behavior that holds an Airman back. Share how you’ve developed, and how others challenged you to get out of the comfort zone. Most importantly, listen with an open mind. Don’t let development or competency be the buzz word of the year. Make “Develops People” part of your everyday experience. Supervisors, leaders, coaches, and mentors all take time to develop people to meet goals and missions. “Show your Airmen that you value them by taking the time to help them develop”, said Mendieta. “When we as leaders are committed to our Airmen and demonstrate that through actions, we will continue to grow and become an even stronger Air Force.”

Congratulations, Madison, on your career choice. My mom died of pancreatic cancer at a much older age, but the pain of her loss is the same. I pray God will grant you many years of safe flying, defending the USA. I have two brothers-in-law who served in Vietnam - one a Huey pilot and the other in the USAF. The army pilot was called up from the reserves to fly a fixed wing out of Bagram Air Base and his son flew a Blackhawk from FOB Shank and is now a civilian instructor for the army in Alabama.
Congratulations 2LT Marsh so many accomplishments! My late wife, the former two semester cadet battalion commander of the CSU Ram & UNC Bear battalions, Virginia Seigel, ended up an Army CPT and CH-47 pilot. Basically at really high altitudes, the ambient air pressure is so low that the oxygen that you inhale into your lung doesn't have enough pressure to diffuse through the capillaries into your blood. So the oxygen systems delivers the air at a positive pressure to force the oxygen to diffuse. The weird feeling that they're talking about is because normally we contract our muscles to inhale (taking a breathe), and when we relax, we exhale. However, when you pressure breathe, its the reverse. When you relax, the positive pressure forces you to inhale, and you need to forcefully exhale to counter that pressure.
Yea, I received 1 1/2 hour a maintenance flight in a F-15D when we were TDY to Sardina, Italy back in the early 80's. Did a Functional Check Flight (FCF) takeoff which is a afterburner takeoff then setting the plane on it's tail at the end of the runway and climbing to 10,000 feet with the runway still under you. That was awesome and one of the most memorable things I did during my USAF career. From one service member to another thanks for serving.
The positive pressure was for a mask leak check for fitting. The O2 system automatically ads positive pressure above 28K. However, the F-16 is,pressurized so that function is never used unless you depressurization.
Just wow, how in the hell she managed to get all these in such a young age, 22 years? A pilot, a 2nd Lt in US Airforce, Miss Academy, Miss Colorado, Miss America, Astrophysics degree, a black belt In Taekwondo, and now pursuing a Master degree from Harvard. God bless. It will not surprise me if more achievements comes to light. .
Lol, would this still be called a "Life Support Shop" ?! I was stationed at Myrtle Beach AFB in 1970 assigned to the 354 TFW and the 353 TFS. We had, then, the new A-7D's which the A-10 replaced around 1975... This young woman is amazingly amazing...What a portfolio she is compiling. I wish her the best in all her endeavors. These young airman will give her the best professional training available. These NCO's are highly trained in every aspect of the aircraft and pilots life support systems!! I loved every minute at Myrtle and the two TDY's to Korat RTAB Thailand! I still have friends I worked with along with pilots I stay in touch with. We were very close-knit .. Col Wayne E Davis was our Squadron Commander...he was the roll model of roll models. He helped me get into OTS and I returned to the Squadron as the new intel officer...he passed 5 March 2016...rest in peace Colonel 💖
It would be awesome if every junior high and high school freshman girl could see this video.. What an amazing inspiration Madison will be as she gains experience flying America's aircraft.
This 2nd LT has been successful from hard work but a lack of integrity overshadows it all. We in the past, eliminated cadets with an integrity problem. Cadets that left the wrong impression were also elminated, it was called quibbling and is considered by us to also be a lie. She is absolutely not an Air Force Pilot and never never be good enough to pass AF Pilot training which takes a year, she then has to go through water survival, then F-16 training which takes 6 months. She graduated 1.5 years ago and has been taking Masters classes. What makes around think she’d has gone through 1.5 years of otherwise training. Stupid American public that falls for anything without researching
I got incentive rides in the T-37, F-16, and F-15E as a USAFA cadet over 30 years ago. My crew was super professional but it’s clear they do a LOT more prep these days. I never learned how to use the harness, didn’t get sized for a helmet, etc. 😂 It was still one of the coolest experiences ever, and the Strike Eagle was my favorite.
Sweeeet 🙏❤️ Thank Youuuu for Your Service 🙏❤️ I wish they would've interviewed her n the Pilot ; expressing the reason for their Love of Defending America 🇺🇸 GOD BLESS US ALL ALWAYS 🙏 ❤️
The entire Miss America 2024 show (2 hours 38+ minutes) was posted earlier today on the TH-cam site Miss America. Madison won the title of Miss America 2024. There were no commercials during the show.
👍. When you are so talented, goal oriented and beautiful, not just by appearance but oviously as person too, , all what you can do, is give applause and sincere admiration! The news told lately that she also was chosen Miss America winning the beauty contest. 🌹. Congratulations. Winners often takes all.
Fortunately, when we go for a Hot Scramble, all of this preparation and measuring comes to full realization, because each compression suit your jumping into was created for each pilot. Any damage becomes paramount because it's a tight fit for a purpose, safety and rescue!
We wonder who was the pilot who took Madison up for this flight. Perhaps she didn't want her name mentioned because unless everyone's name was shared she's 'only' a member of the team. Thank everyone for your awesome service,, GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Wow Outstanding. So much to talk about in this Video. Frist too 2nd Lt Marsh. Congratulations on Winning the Miss America pageant. And to the United States Air Force. In Making this video. From Fitting of the flight suite to take off. The F16 was a site to see close up. If this does not motivate young People to look into the Air Force as a career. Nothing will. I could not believe how close they were to the ground while flying. You could see the hiking trails the single tracks. I kept thinking I would hate to be the opposing ground troops. With that much fire power and speed coming up on you. I wish they would have introduced the Pilot. And Put speed Heart rate and G force in the top corner of the screen. I feel with all the Attention on her she did great. From a US Army Combat trained Vet 1977 to 1981. Go USA.
I enjoyed seeing her go through the process as well as in flight. This is perhaps the closest look at some things that I have never seen "how it's done". God bless, Ceiling and Visibility and your Future, Unlimited!
Many congratulations due to 2Lt Marsh. First for being a member of the US Air Force and graduation from the AF Acadamy. For Striving for a higher degree at Harvard. For maintaining her composure on that F16 Fam Flight. And for winning the Miss America crown. Best of luck to her on all of her endeavors.
She is very impressive for her age, and highly skilled, and intelligent for becoming a Air force fighter pilot. As they state in the US Navy: Honor, Courage, and Commitment. Thank you for serving the USA.
You must have been in another branch of the service. I've noticed Marines are the most critical of the Airforce for some reason. I guess its because their jobs are technically more physical but these people fly fighter planes. You have to have the same stamina AND a very sharp mind. As for the "yeah" it was very disrespectful, regardless of what branch of service you are in. This did not show the Airforce in a bad light. Only the individual that said it.
It’s awesome to find the original video to watch, and not the fake one that’s been posted on some TH-cam channels, At least they said 2nd Lt. Madison Marsh will be the first female Ukrainian Fighter Pilot to fly an F-16 Fighting Falcon Fighter Jet, It could of been worse, they could of said Madison is Russian, which would of been an insult to the next Miss America, 🇬🇧😎👍🏼
Oh honey. The red haired boy who's name I didn't catch. He is the true focus of this video, the true American Hero. He guided her throught the whole fitting process with professionalism and aplomb. Well done, Sir! A thankless job, I'm sure.

A pilot, a 2nd Lt in US Airforce, Miss Academy, Miss Colorado, Miss America, Astrophysics degree, a black belt In Taekwondo, and now pursuing a Master degree from Harvard. God bless. It will not surprise me if more achievements comes to light.
.
That's what happens when your parents are rich, educated, Godly and you are hardworking and naturally sharp
Becoming the President of the United States does not appear to be out of question for this dynamic young lady. Total respect too you.
She hasn't started pilot training yet, but I'm sure she'll pass it. Go Miss America!
@@robboinnz Captain America?
@@robboinnz She is already a pilot since age 17, started at 16 years old.
CONGRATULATIONS! You deserve all that you want . Just so there is no misunderstanding you have worked hard and earned everything you have achieved.
These NCO's
are highly trained in every aspect of the aircraft and pilots life support systems!!
Very Interesting Gearing Up. Thanks for the ride BE SAFE!!
Wow. Congratulations!!! For being crowned Miss America 2024 👏 👏 👏 👏
Congrats to Lt Marsh, Miss America 2024. Can't think of a better representative!
Congratulations, Madison, from a USAF VET. Good luck with your pilot training.
The lady is amazing, i can watch her all day
It would be awesome if every junior high and high school freshman girl could see this video.. What an amazing inspiration Madison will be as she gains experience flying America's aircraft.
Big Respect…
Awesome check out flight Lt. Marsh.....I have never seen a pilot with EYES like yours......Good Luck and GOD BLESS YOU
Wow, super insightful and cool to get this inside look. Good for her and the USAF.
God Bless...Hope you are an inspiration to the next generation...we need more like you...
This is AMERICA, where everything is possible and even Miss America is a USAF PILOT - Love IT.....
Mistype, May never be good enough
Congratulations 2nd LT on all of your accomplishments!
What an inspiring story…such an impressive young lady. Real life Hollywood story in the making. Thank you for serving your country! Top Gun 3 🙏👏👍
Sweeeet 🙏❤️
Thank Youuuu for Your Service
🙏❤️
I wish they would've interviewed her n the Pilot ; expressing the reason for their Love of Defending America 🇺🇸
GOD BLESS US ALL ALWAYS 🙏 ❤️
MADISON IS NOW 2024 MISS AMERICA!
Brains. Bravery. Beauty.
ROCK!
Congratulations the new Miss America, you literally are soaring high!
CONGRATULATIONS MADISON! MISS USA!!❤❤
Congratulations LT Marsh!
The entire Miss America 2024 show (2 hours 38+ minutes) was posted earlier today on the TH-cam site Miss America. Madison won the title of Miss America 2024. There were no commercials during the show.
Appreciate her discussion with the enlisted airman - respect.
And she took the Ms. America 2024 title! Aim high!!!!!
The looks and sounds of freedom. Good luck young lady.
Proud of all our pilots -
Godspeed - 🇺🇸✈️🦅🗽
A Marine to 2nd lieutenant Madison 👏 Congregation and Thank You
👍. When you are so talented, goal oriented and beautiful, not just by appearance but oviously as person too, , all what you can do, is give applause and sincere admiration! The news told lately that she also was chosen Miss America winning the beauty contest. 🌹. Congratulations. Winners often takes all.
Not just a beautiful face. Her mom would be so proud.
Her dad?
I love The 59th Fighter Squadron "Proud Lions" Large Metal Badge hanging on the wall. I am a Proud Lion too! I was a Crewchief in there!
Gives new meaning to if looks could kill..in her case......Hell Yeah!
The ultimate over achiever well done young lady you are a role model for all young ladies well done from NZ
America, the land of opportunities. If you set your mind to achieve them.
Holy Moly, that's awesome, GOD bless America the beautiful. Amazing how technology progress more and more.
Fortunately, when we go for a Hot Scramble, all of this preparation and measuring comes to full realization, because each compression suit your jumping into was created for each pilot. Any damage becomes paramount because it's a tight fit for a purpose, safety and rescue!
Most sincere congratulations to Miss Madison from France!
Miss Madison joint l'utile à l'agreable,as we say here!USAF#1!
Many Blessings Ma’am; I respect you; stay in the Air Force until you retire❤
This was so awesome to watch! Well done! She's a great representative of the U.S. Military!
Congrats in your work towards the furtherance of women’s in the services!
From Fitting of the flight suite
to take off.
Go USA.
The speed wasn’t that fast and they were straight and level, that would be 1 G
She's not a fighter pilot.
@@lasmith3129 Air force pilot
Nor Air Force Pilot, that requires graduation from UPT now called SUPT I believe @@rogerfournier3284
an officer asked him a question and his response was "yeah..."
the discipline of the chAir Force, on full display.
@@donnamckinley9807 its funny that you think the Marines don't fly and that some other sort of discipline exists because of the presence of aircraft.
She had a callsign change. She is Miss America now. :)
Trevor "Duck" Hunter, what a great callsign.
I can see this girl flying into space, talk about the right stuff.
God bless the United States of America and its wonderful people!!!🇺🇸
appreciate all involved in sharing this aspect of service
Thank you for your help! 🇺🇸
Gotta give it to her!! Beautiful and smart!!!!
Mind, body and spirit. Save a little for the rest of us, jeez…
Seems like a great young woman.
It’s awesome to find the original video to watch, and not the fake one that’s been posted on some TH-cam channels,
At least they said 2nd Lt. Madison Marsh will be the first female Ukrainian Fighter Pilot to fly an F-16 Fighting Falcon Fighter Jet,
It could of been worse, they could of said Madison is Russian, which would of been an insult to the next Miss America,
🇬🇧😎👍🏼
"...and lo and behold, she became Miss America!" 👑#Congratulations
Madison is a Great American, Cheers Madison.
When she’s says all I want is world peace at the pageant she can back it up!
Great Video Madison, I hope this is the first step in your Pilot journey, I will watch with interest your Miss Colorado Quest to be Miss World
This real life story deserves a movie good luck and god bless miss Madison
LT Marsh, Pease do NOT ever believe that your challenge is on a stage or before an audience. You are meant for larger stages.
So is her call sign " Colorado" or are we waiting to say "Miss America"? She's a down to earth winner
80's and 90's are the best decade
Wow, I'm really impressed to hear about all of this. Way to go, Madison!!. 👏👏
Oh honey. The red haired boy who's name I didn't catch. He is the true focus of this video, the true American Hero. He guided her throught the whole fitting process with professionalism and aplomb. Well done, Sir! A thankless job, I'm sure.
She is the best Miss America Ever. God bless you, Madison Marsh, you are my super model.
Well done young lady..You are a great model to a lot of young girls...keep flying high.
Very old US GI very thankful for the US Air Force. God bless young lady and all those flying in defense of American citizens.
Congrats Miss America!! 🇺🇸 🥰
Man that's a bad ass pilot lady whow that is amazing, who would it thought females would be as competitive as man just a few years ago??? I like it fair enough she is a hell of A PILOT, congrats to Lt. Madison for her accomplishments.
the real purpose of the oxygen mash is to hide the GIGANTIC grin on their faces.
Aw, oh. The secret is out!
👀👾
What an impressive young woman! When she pulls up the visor: THOSE EYES!
