In Praise and appreciation of our Priests
This time of the year many of our priests celebrate anniversaries and jubilees of ordination. It’s a time to remember them with appreciation in the ever more challenging environment they minister in, with the many demands on their time and energy.
In Killaloe this year we have 2 diamond, 4 ruby, 1 pearl, 1 silver and 1 china Jubilarian. Heartiest congratulations to them and thanks to all our clergy for their fantastic work.
May these anniversary days bring them back to that original fire that sparked the inspiration and enthusiasm to follow Jesus as faith filled pastors!
Heavenly Father, grant that our priests be strengthened and healed by the power of the Eucharist they celebrate. May the Word they proclaim give them courage and wisdom. We pray that all those whom they seek to serve may see in them the love and care of Jesus, Our Eternal High Priest, who is Lord for ever and ever.
