After watching this I know I've been applying too much pressure! Thx for clarifying=)
Thank you for the explanation. I tend to get the pain in the left side of my chest. I think in my case the pain starts usually when I am stressed. Does this make sense?
Yes! Stress definitely contributes to it a lot
Clear, well explained I’m a massage therapist and found this video very informative. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
This helped me work through a headache that has been plaguing me for weeks now, thank you
Glad it helped!
find a dry needling specialist for stubborn trigger points that bother you for months or years, helped me a lot
How did you find one? Is it a pain mgmt speciality? Does insurance cover?
Good video, but I get a bit confused when I read about referred pain. What if the pain in the pec minor is actually referred pain? How do you know which other muscle(s) could also cause pain in that area? Thanks!
Thank you,
Do they come back after being released?
Can you do this with sciatic nerve pain on your back I have a tender spot which is really sore
Your video is more precise
Thanks sir for the informative videos.
Why trigger points form ???
Chronic stress
Bad form when exercising too
What about for the back of the shoulder I guess I could not do it myself always tried that Cain trigger point release but it doesn’t release it
You can get a lacrosse ball and lie on your back and put it back there
Dr Oliver, can you demonstrate how to do deep breathing while releasing a trigger point? .. Breathing is So Important!!!
Hey I just had it done today to me - I was advised to take in one deep breath before the pressure is applied then slowly start exhaling the more the pressure is applied
Hope this helps 👍🏽

How do you know it's a trigger point? I been to a specialist, he did xray saying disc is moderate bugle in neck. But all my pain is round both shoulder blades..
if u still have the problem just feel around your neck until you find a sore tender spot
This my exact problem. During day not too sore. But during middle of night pain severe in right shoulder. Less on left. This is after traveling and lifting luggage . I am 70 yr female. I have strength to left anď write with right hand. I have severe forward head that i do therapy for lightheaded and vertigo when I get too tured.
I gave no neck tenderness
But occasionally valance issues.
