Can I use the massage gun in my left side of my body (because I felt pain in that area) even though I am feeling a slight numbness and like electricity flowing in my left arm going to my middle and index fingers? I went to a PT for my back pain and was relieved from pain. But the sensation in my arms and fingers never go away.

It sounds like you have a pinched cervical nerve. I would recommend a chiropractor or osteopath. Good luck!

Will trigger points show up on diagnostic imaging such as MRI and Ultrasound?

Yes, if the trigger point or muscle knot large enough you can see it in an MRI. MRI is the most sensitive imaging test available for seeing soft tissue masses.

@@GotYourBackwithDrMatt So it is a visibly denser mass. Interesting. On the flipside, I'm assuming trigger points are NOT usually sites of chronic inflammation?
