The sharp sound quality, metallic even, is what allows the vocal cords to freely change in mass, and makes finding points of resonance alot easier. That, and breath support. For which there are tons of examples and exercises on the internet. Lastly: Experimenting. These are the requirements. Good singing lessons will, of course, help alot, as well.
Oh man, this chipmunk reminds me of a character my group had years ago in a 3.5 Edition game, Steve the Squirrel With the Disturbingly Deep Voice. Imagine a completely ordinary-looking squirrel but he speaks Common in a voice that sounds like James Earl Jones multiplied by Barry White. He's a sorcerer, but his real passion is gathering nuts.
Unlike certain others, I liked the pre- and post- stream bits. They let me, as a viewer, get warmed up for the session and then wind down at the end (which almost always has something significantly interesting going on). It makes it feel more like I'm a part of the party, sitting there at the session. I like that.
While I love digsby he had his own session and not to long ago as well, I think lily deserves her time to shine as we haven't seen her since this d&d thing started and she got in one episode.
sokumo tanaka, also it seems likely he's trying to find The Dancing Death until further notice. As for Rivi, she has so many places to go and get caught in traps, mistaken for a goat, presumed dead, etc, you can't tie her down to one adventure.

Man, I have never been filled with as much frustration as I was realizing that the giant never rolled his Int save against Phantasmal Force and should have been a crying mess unable to attack. Besides that it was a great episode, but man not being able to do anything when I realized it made it end on a salty note.
I'm so glad we get to see lily again! But I also feel like she needs her own session as well and hope we can get one in the future. Man it's great to have her back, even if it is breif
So before I watch this, I had a thought regarding the last couple of episodes and what might be going on with the Silver King -- spoiler conjecture below... So he was _sleeping_ before the events that led up to the massacre and his usurpation of the throne...who do we know of that annoys people in their dreams? ( -Shitkicker- Stillhavity). SK might have made a trade and lost his alignment or something.... We'll see if that pans out or not.

As for the weight issues, with it being activated inside the dragon one could argue (mostly for narrative purposes) that it's not actually being affected by the whole weight of the beast and only had to overcome the soft squishy bits on the inside. To each their own though.
Chris Parker It did over a hundred damage, I'd argue it was beneficial. Even though in the end they wasted it by letting the dragon take a short rest but they killed it nonetheless.

@@XSanctusMalumX Remember twitches recent update kinda screwed alot of people over. I can't rewatch a stream without it buffering forever then showing me an ad. It never plays and I have pristine internet but ever since that update I seen people unable to view past livestreams so "go watch it on twitch archive" doesn't work for everyone.

I'd like to suggest that any whispering be done in like a stage whisper and not an actual one because what feels like really important dialogs are hard to hear. As a viewer its very frustrating to have to rewind, turn up everything to max, hear the dialog, and then fix everything again.

so Taka.. you said that Borky has Savage Attacks.. "Savage Attacks When you score a critical hit with a melee weapon attack, you can roll one of the weapon’s damage dice one additional time and add it to the extra damage of the critical hit." that Stacks with Brutal Critical.. now I'm not sure what level you all are at because no one ever says in a session and we've only gotten one brief look at your character sheet.. but at level 9.. the level that you get Brutal Critical.. you should be doing +3 damage when in a rage and you should be rolling 4d12 on a Crit with your Great Axe.. now if your level 13.. then you should be doing 5d12.. Maxing out at 6d12 at level 17.. assuming of course that you stick with Barbarian all that way..
They're level six, they usually bring it up during the post show but since taka took the negative opinion of one guy to far we'll never have those on youtube anymore.
well that really sucks.. good to know what level they are though.. I'd also mention that they could add in the extra D12 on Roll 20 so that it will auto calculate the crit rather than them having to add an extra roll.. and here's hoping that they can ignore the negativity.. this is a Damn good series and I always look forward to the new episodes..
I'll admit I only assumed that it was due to one negative guys reaction to post and pre show i the youtue comments mostly cause chat never really talks about it when the show comes out live and I never see their twitter. What I'm referring to are the comments of a certain Hyde Zach who constantly complained about it. Sure their were others who made the "Game starts at (inset time here") comments but those were mostly just people fishing for likes or meant no harm by it. Hyde on the other hand would always take it a step further and add on negative insults like how they were pointless and wasted time even though the show always has a specific time it starts at, the pre show is just everyone getting set up before the show actually starts and the post for when it wraps up after the scheduled end of the session.
monty's story telling is good and all but when it comes to combat is lacklaster to say the least from nerfing the party to shoe horning npcs or forgeting/ignoring them.on the crit part for 60ep borky had brutal critical(as mentioned as a racial a number of times for some reason) and 1 or 2 sessions ago monty said that either brutal critical and savage attack stacks or he has 2 brutal criticals meaning he has atleast 2 extra weapon dmg rolls on critical hits
2:45:30 I was just listening to the archives the other day, finishing the Solly/Stillhavity arc, and I know for a fact Borky was using an ability that was extremely similar to if not outright Brutal Critical, so that’s very odd to me that it’s apparently a fighter ability. Maybe that was an early flub
Half-orcs get savage attack, which is a diet version of brutal critical. One being a racial feature and the other a class feature let's them stack as they have the same proc.
Great Session as always! Really awesome to see Lime back in action, always a blast to see more of that Lily wholesome! One point on the Sneak attack thing as you talked about how it interacted with a reaction (feel free to ignore this if you rule otherwise as always, but it is good to know how it would work.) Sneak attack states "Once per turn, you can deal an extra Nd6 damage(Check Sneak attack chart in the Rogue's leveling progression table) to one creature you hit with an attack if you have advantage on the attack roll." A "Turn" in D&D does not refer to going through an initiative order from top to bottom, but refers to a PC or NPC's actual turn. So for example, Greckles time to do something is one turn, Borky is one turn, Giants is one, etc etc. What this means, is that if say Greckles had an infinite amount of Reactions to take, if he used those for Attacks of Opportunity - he would get sneak attack on them, ONCE on every character's turn. So if he took one attack of opportunity on ever character's turn - he would get to apply Sneak attack on that attack everytime. That is - IF - he has a reaction to do so naturally. To make a full example: Greckle's turn - attacks Giant Nr1 with advantage/has ally within 5 feet of opponent -> Hits -> Sneak attack applies to damage rolled. Attacks with his Bonus Action as part of Two-Weapon Fighting, hits, Rolls damage - but can not use Sneak attack *that* turn. Giant Nr1's Turn - Runs out of Greckles Threat Range and provokes an Attack of Opportunity: Greckles takes the AoO, hits - and if the same parameters check he gets to apply Sneak Attack once more as this is the Giant's turn. Hope helpful to the castmembers and anyone else who might be reading through the comments and wants to know the nuts n' bolts of how these things would work! ^-^
Great episode, but im a lil salty with Lily for her interjection towards panic, especially since Ozzy doesn't seem to actually dislike panic as much as lily put on, this may have set his character back a good bit even worse may turn him.
when your trying to get over someone and you know its for the best, its best to give yourself breathing room. because it will pressure you into thinking. "Oh I'm such an idot! i can't go through with this!" love makes fools of us all and her doing that rp wise makes a LOTTTTT of good sense

I mean, being a teenager is normally pretty bad. You got puberty and that whole trainwreck, constant worry about social status with your peers, butting heads with your parents because you want more freedom, and such. I'd say he had a teenagehood, but the bad parts of it were turned up to eleven.
This is the 4th time the phantasmal force spell has been used in the game without, I feel, the group understanding the spirit of the spell. I wouldn't say anything because I am not part of the game, but it hurts my heart a little every time the spell ruled improperly. Phantasmal force is one of my favorite spells because the save is based more on role play than mechanics. Part of the challenge of using the spell is that the caster must decide the form the spell takes. This means that if finding something of the form the caster chooses in the area is unlikely, then the target has a reason to be rolling investigation checks against the illusion. The target gets an intelligence save as soon as the spell is cast but, after that point, the target must have a reason to roll investigation checks. Regarding the checks, the spell says "The target rationalizes any illogical outcomes from interacting with the phantasm". In my opinion this means the target CANNOT roll an investigation check because of something the phantasm DOES. The target can only choose to roll an investigation because of something the target IS or because one of the target's allies tells the target that what they see is not actually there. Also the spell does not say that the target must pay attention to the illusion. This means that it is the caster's responsibility to come up with something the target would pay attention to. There are plenty of other level 2 and even level 1 spells that deal much more damage than 1d6 per turn. The spell phantasmal force exists much more for distraction, deception, and intimidation than for damage. Also the spell is extraordinarily effective in encounters consisting of 1 stupid enemy or a bunch of enemies that are too stupid to warn each other that the spell is not real. Great show you all. 😊

"Savage Attacks When you score a critical hit with a melee weapon attack, you can roll one of the weapon’s damage dice one additional time and add it to the extra damage of the critical hit." that Stacks with Brutal Critical.. now I'm not sure what level you all are at because no one ever says in a session and we've only gotten one brief look at your character sheet.. but at level 9.. the level that you get Brutal Critical.. you should be doing +3 damage when in a rage and you should be rolling 4d12 on a Crit with your Great Axe.. now if your level 13.. then you should be doing 5d12.. Maxing out at 6d12 at level 17.. assuming of course that you stick with Barbarian all that way..
They're level six, they usually bring it up during the post show but since taka took the negative opinion of one guy to far we'll never have those on youtube anymore.
well that really sucks.. good to know what level they are though.. I'd also mention that they could add in the extra D12 on Roll 20 so that it will auto calculate the crit rather than them having to add an extra roll.. and here's hoping that they can ignore the negativity.. this is a Damn good series and I always look forward to the new episodes..
I'll admit I only assumed that it was due to one negative guys reaction to post and pre show i the youtue comments mostly cause chat never really talks about it when the show comes out live and I never see their twitter. What I'm referring to are the comments of a certain Hyde Zach who constantly complained about it. Sure their were others who made the "Game starts at (inset time here") comments but those were mostly just people fishing for likes or meant no harm by it. Hyde on the other hand would always take it a step further and add on negative insults like how they were pointless and wasted time even though the show always has a specific time it starts at, the pre show is just everyone getting set up before the show actually starts and the post for when it wraps up after the scheduled end of the session.
monty's story telling is good and all but when it comes to combat is lacklaster to say the least from nerfing the party to shoe horning npcs or forgeting/ignoring them.on the crit part for 60ep borky had brutal critical(as mentioned as a racial a number of times for some reason) and 1 or 2 sessions ago monty said that either brutal critical and savage attack stacks or he has 2 brutal criticals meaning he has atleast 2 extra weapon dmg rolls on critical hits

2:45:30 I was just listening to the archives the other day, finishing the Solly/Stillhavity arc, and I know for a fact Borky was using an ability that was extremely similar to if not outright Brutal Critical, so that’s very odd to me that it’s apparently a fighter ability. Maybe that was an early flub
Orcs also get Brutal Critical if what Monty has said in the past is anything to go by
Half-orcs get savage attack, which is a diet version of brutal critical. One being a racial feature and the other a class feature let's them stack as they have the same proc.

One point on the Sneak attack thing as you talked about how it interacted with a reaction (feel free to ignore this if you rule otherwise as always, but it is good to know how it would work.)
Sneak attack states "Once per turn, you can
deal an extra Nd6 damage(Check Sneak attack chart in the Rogue's leveling progression table) to one creature you hit with
an attack if you have advantage on the attack roll."
A "Turn" in D&D does not refer to going through an initiative order from top to bottom, but refers to a PC or NPC's actual turn. So for example, Greckles time to do something is one turn, Borky is one turn, Giants is one, etc etc.
What this means, is that if say Greckles had an infinite amount of Reactions to take, if he used those for Attacks of Opportunity - he would get sneak attack on them, ONCE on every character's turn. So if he took one attack of opportunity on ever character's turn - he would get to apply Sneak attack on that attack everytime. That is - IF - he has a reaction to do so naturally.
To make a full example:
Greckle's turn - attacks Giant Nr1 with advantage/has ally within 5 feet of opponent -> Hits -> Sneak attack applies to damage rolled. Attacks with his Bonus Action as part of Two-Weapon Fighting, hits, Rolls damage - but can not use Sneak attack *that* turn.
Giant Nr1's Turn - Runs out of Greckles Threat Range and provokes an Attack of Opportunity: Greckles takes the AoO, hits - and if the same parameters check he gets to apply Sneak Attack once more as this is the Giant's turn.
Hope helpful to the castmembers and anyone else who might be reading through the comments and wants to know the nuts n' bolts of how these things would work! ^-^

Great episode, but im a lil salty with Lily for her interjection towards panic, especially since Ozzy doesn't seem to actually dislike panic as much as lily put on, this may have set his character back a good bit even worse may turn him.

This is the 4th time the phantasmal force spell has been used in the game without, I feel, the group understanding the spirit of the spell. I wouldn't say anything because I am not part of the game, but it hurts my heart a little every time the spell ruled improperly. Phantasmal force is one of my favorite spells because the save is based more on role play than mechanics. Part of the challenge of using the spell is that the caster must decide the form the spell takes. This means that if finding something of the form the caster chooses in the area is unlikely, then the target has a reason to be rolling investigation checks against the illusion. The target gets an intelligence save as soon as the spell is cast but, after that point, the target must have a reason to roll investigation checks. Regarding the checks, the spell says "The target rationalizes any illogical outcomes from interacting with the phantasm". In my opinion this means the target CANNOT roll an investigation check because of something the phantasm DOES. The target can only choose to roll an investigation because of something the target IS or because one of the target's allies tells the target that what they see is not actually there. Also the spell does not say that the target must pay attention to the illusion. This means that it is the caster's responsibility to come up with something the target would pay attention to.
There are plenty of other level 2 and even level 1 spells that deal much more damage than 1d6 per turn. The spell phantasmal force exists much more for distraction, deception, and intimidation than for damage. Also the spell is extraordinarily effective in encounters consisting of 1 stupid enemy or a bunch of enemies that are too stupid to warn each other that the spell is not real.
