@@roxyroxy4816 Cool color regardless of what Mercedes named it. For anyone that's never seen the Smoke Silver Metallic in person it's an interesting paint. Can vary between being mostly silver looking sort of bronze-ish depending on the light that's hitting it. At least to my eye. When I first got it I was noticing the bronze/gold in it but now I just think of it as silver/gray. Not sure why.
I definitely could have said that better. I'll never be using any of these cars as daily drivers. Just fun projects that I like to take out for fun and maybe the occasional short highway trip. So, really just a personal preference thing for me. I just like the looks a bit better with them gone so the tradeoff of losing a bit of functionality is worth it for me. I gave though to painting them body color but I just don't think it would hold up around that joint where you can flip them back to replace the wiper blades.
Thanks, and I agree! Hopefully you'll like what I'm doing with it. After getting the wheels and seeing what they looked like just leaning up against the car I'm pretty excited to move ahead with the project a little faster than initially planned.
Hi! The Merc is absolutely stunning, but also the camera of your phone is really great. Could you, please, tell me what model is it? Because I'm amazed by the quality of your video!
Thanks! It's a Samsung S21 Ultra that I got specifically because it was supposed to about as good as you could do for video/photos with a phone at the time. If you're going to be using it for much video, though, might want to invest in an external mic. First few videos I did I was using the built in mic and it kind of pains me to watch those now because of the audio quality. I bought a little kit with a dongle for the phone and two clip on wireless mics (company called Ulanzi I think) which was only around 50 bucks and made a world of difference. The little mics are about the size of a USB drive and you can just clip them on your collar. Big part of that actual vid is the lighting. I knew there would be some good spots along that particular road so clicked through street view until I found a spot with an unobstructed view to the east and then left the house so I'd be getting there right before sunrise.
Thanks. I want to get the new wheels/tires on it then I can get a couple of pics directly from the side. Play around with those in Photoshop to figure out how much space I want to leave between the tires and the fender arches. Wheels should be getting here tomorrow.
I get the appeal of the Euro bumpers but personally prefer the US ones. Like the bit of extra length it gives the car and also grew up around these cars so probably partially cause that's just how I think of them looking. If that makes sense.
@@Bizmyurt If you're talking about the US version of the W116 we're definitely in agreement on that. Those bumpers are ENORMOUS. I have thoughts of getting a 450SEL at some point and would have to do something about the bumpers if I did.
Beautiful W126
Much appreciated. You have a LOT of reviews on your channel. How long have you been doing car reviews?
The original W126 for me is timeless
Wow it looks much better than in the other comp. video you had!
Wow, that w126 is unique 😊
Beautiful W126, I have a 500sel with the exact same color (smoke grey)
Much appreciated. I've generally gone with darker colors for any car I've had but figured it was time to switch things up a bit!
@@RBeam6 correction:🙂 the color is (smoke silver)

Headlights wipers are very useful equipment

Absolutely gorgeous car!

"Not a fan of the slammed look" SUBSCRIBED!!!!!!!
I like your idea of keeping the original time look but add a little touches to improve drivability

Hi is it for sale please let me know?
No, not at this time.Sorry.
If given opportunity change to original (non us) bumpers and headlights.

@@RBeam6 Everything that works for you makes sense for you.😀For us from europe especially the previous models look awful.

I've never heard anyone with a nice Mercedes sound more depressed. Sigh....
I was happy on the inside, just not fully awake. Had to get up early to drive to that spot so I could get the lighting at sunrise.
'PromoSM' 😕
Why would you think that?
