- Upgraded the servo on the LDRC Rwd Drift project.
Too bad the teeth on the servo were a different size than the stock servo so I had to cut up the original servo arm/horn.
Wobble wasnt completely eliminated, but it was less wobble and the AGFRC servo felt overall much smoother. Good upgrade for $10. Maybe I'll try switching to a micro specific gyro next...

Subscribed.. Troy from roadside RC put an 80 dollar futaba gyro in his and the stock servo and it made it just as good as his yokomo and redcat drift cars

I’m installing Miuzel FS08MD-METAL DIGITAL SERVO , on my 1802 . That WOBBLE IS NO JOKE! I can literally turn mine on and sit waiting for 45 sec for it to stop on its own. I have to immediately turn my internal gyro off to stop the front end soul train dance it do. I drive on tile so every split of the 2 X 1ft tile it’s TWITCHING dawg. And I broke my stock horn a week ago. I’ll screw my old horn on the new.
I think that servo wobble is common in the LDRC/UDRC world

I’m running a Yokomo v4 gyro in it which is more expensive that car itself. Works great, had one laying around so why not…..
Perfect! They can drift pretty well with a decent gyro. You get any gyro shake with the Yokomo?
I wonder if they will do a fd next.
The surpass 9g servo is a drop in upgrade for super cheap, if you build an other ldrc drift car you should give it a shot

Im looking at this servo only to upgrade the turn speed for a fms lmt24 basher. Was it quicker than stock?
Can’t say I noticed much of a difference in speed, but I wasn’t really looking for that change. The servo just feels overall smoother and more precise
Any way to permanently turn off the onboard gyro? I'd like to try my gyd 470 on my ldrc rx7

This appears to be the car to modify and upgrade...a lot.
I have modified, the motor, tie rod ends/ rods, rims to fit rotors in each wheel, swapped out front windshield, add rear diffuser, add tailpipes, added front splitter, added 1 inch spoiler, add gyro, installed blue lights for fog lamps,added rear coilover hanger for suspension. I just need to find good oil filled shocks and stable front mounting points for coilovers.
Hey dude! if you find a 3D print file or somehwere to get a 3d Printed servo horn for these specific RC cars I would love to know too! I just got mine and Im going to have to end up doing the same thing you did in merging the horns due to the smaller hole in the servo horn

I just got my ldr/c, I've also noticed that the gyro is quite twitchy, but it seems that mine doesn't shake at all like yours, weird
I think it shakes like that when I have both the internal and external gyros on. Both are try to stabilize at the same time

Thanks! Good choice with the Dasmikro! I need to get my video finished for that one. Probably the best gyro I’ve tested. As for the song.. I’m not sure actually. I just use music from the TH-cam creator library
R u sure the gyro just isn't all the way up?
try gyro dasmicro v3 or dasmicro v5 or futaba GYD470 will help you a lot without updrade your servo
How do you turn off the factory gyro?
Hold B+C on the remote until you hear a beep.
So it means the original gyro is not that bad, it's servo.
After research a bit, the gyro also suck. 🤦 You buy this car expect buy gyro and servo to drift smoothly.
Yeah.. if I had to choose one upgrade it would just be the gyro. The stock servo will work, the built in gyro is just so bad.
Umm, just upgrade the gyro. And even then it shouldn’t be that much. In this hobby you better be ready to spend some money.
