Just a quick one fellas, Jink is just a single save. It says you can never take more than one save. So either Jink OR armour save. Last one is that Cover Saves are not affected by AP.

I see this mistake a lot. It's an additional save option, not additional save in the dice sequence. Its purpose is to not be affected by AP or weapons that ignore Invulnerable saves because it's the vehicle dodging the hit entirely.

Man, this scale looks so great on the table.
At 16:20 the Thunderhawk Heavy Bolter is a Light weapon and literally cannot hurt the Thunderbolt fighter (which is a vehicle), likely the rest of the T-Hawks fusillade would have sixed it but the Heavy Bolter could not have done that job.
And light AT weapons are 0AP when shooting vehicles
@@TeAXIIIT13 Yes. But the Thunderhawks Heavy Bolter is not Light AT according to the reference I have (I apologise if I'm wrong, don't have the hardcopy rules as yet), the Hvy Bolter is Light - which means vehicles ignore hits from that weapon. Or am I wrong....?
@@cyberdan42 you are correct, thunderhawk Heavy bolters see light so cannot hurt vehicles

For the air transports to disembark troops they have to go into hover which makes them vulnerable.
Only exception so far are units with jump packs that can jump out without the transport having to go into hover mode. Hope we get more jump pack units or can get a whole box of them in the future. 2 assault marines per box takes awhile to collect.
They automatically go into hover if you disembark too which is nice.
@@liveanotheranime3526 I so hope they release an Assault Marine only box as you need 8 sprues of the Marines to run a max Support slot of Assault.
Horus Heresy setting does not preclude xenos. The pre-Heresy battles include massive clashes against (at least) the Elder and Orks and there is no reason those xeno-races would have sat back and not continued battling during the Heresy - and there is no real reason GW could not include other xeno races (even adjusting the lore to do so).
Cost-wise, I've created functional 3,000pts armies at US$400- (not much variety and maxing certain units - Titans), but it is possible and that is quite affordable. IMO it is similar to most of the larger GW (40k, HH, AoS) in cost terms. You have the option of close budgeting but if you want variety and all the cool models open your wallet and prepare to cry.
The US$400 3,000pts army is 1x Core box swapping the Astartes to get more Solar Auxilia (200) + 2 Bane Blades boxes (100) + 1 Lightning box (50) + 1 x Destroyers box (50), if you max out the options you make 3,000pts. It easily gives at least some interesting options at 2,000pts. Compared to 40K, HH, and AoS that is on par I think; it's pretty good for all the GW games once you expand the skirmish games past the minimum as well.
We so need Orks and I'd love to see Tyranids too (which I know wouldn't be canon), even if on fringe worlds because marines vs bugs is just classic fun. :)

We need more Necromunda and Dystopian Wars, there is a 1000 Warhammer channels (not good at this one of course 😎 ) but almost None of Necromunda or Dystopian with this quality.

You only ever get one save. Jink is just an additional save that can’t be modified. Pg 57 “Multiple Save Characteristics”.
Also, I'm pretty sure RAW you can't just put troops into the flyers unless you take an Air Assault Formation. Transports have to be part of the same detatchment as what they're carrying.
@@mward5962 Vehicles with the Transport special rules can carry any eligible detachment(s) from their formation. Only Dedicated Transports are restricted to carrying models from the detachment they were purchased for.

On the bolter and chainsword forum a fan-made armylist for both races has been uploaded. It´s of superb quality and it´s rules have been imported from space marine (2nd epic) and adjusted to legions imperialis.
So fukin COOL you're playing this guys, and really nice having your own pottymouth take on it. Best wishes from lil'old england, i'll watch every Titanicus and Legions report you do!

Joe, don’t forget about the range of the various weapons. Especially with the flyers keep them back and shoot. Running them up forward is just a good way to lose them quickly. This is what counters the strength of bombs. 4 dice with bombs, but you have to overfly the target.

When you get to those higher point values you also have the opportunity to use some incredibly expensive pointed models. I mean a warlord Titan is 600 points. And aircraft are expensive too. 10ish planes is about 1k points too
Grimdark terrain, print all the tokens you need. And have sweet terrain
The lesson here, less aircraft - more armour gents.

One good idea is to have units that are in the buildings off the board and the min on the building. Saves clutter

Just getting into warhammer and it's awsome to see one of my old time favorite TH-camrs doing it !
Epic is the ONLY system I never really got to try, I put together a small ork army cause that looked like the most fun and then my friends who played moved away lol, this looks like a fantastic system so far,
17:20 Joe, unless Im reading wrong, (Flying Transports) if a flyer goes down transporting units... unless those units have jump packs.. they're just dead.. no save rolls, nothing. They splatter to the ground and get wasted. They only get a 4+ save if they have some means of landing safely. Aka.. Jump Packs.
Also, when a Flyer drops off troops.. it loses the FLY special Keyword and gains the "Skimmer" keyword. When the model LOSES Fly.. whenever it shoots at another flyer, it follows the same rules as every other unit shooting at flyers.. they only hit on 6's unless the weapon has the special rule that targets planes (Skystrike I believe its called.) You guys also make this mistake at 23:30, when the infantry hit on 5's vs the flyers... they should ONLY ever hit on 6's... you lose your marauders when you shouldnt have even taken a wound
And of course, as others have mentioned and you've already seen.. proper use of Jink!
Stay the Course with Solar Auxillia. Once you learn the rules, they have un-matched air power thats tough to bring down.

Why did the sicaran shoot the Vellitari? They were in assault so they fight in melee... You can overwatch but the to hit is 6s

3,000pts would be long but would be great to see. This mission isn’t one of the better ones, but still tons of tactical options for replay.

Wouldnt the veletarii have engaged the kratos 34:19 and therefore been pinned meaning they cant be shot by the kratos?
Larger scale cannot pinned by smaller.

@@deanolsan5484 no you can move, fire, & leave if you are engaged but not pinned. Otherwise infantry could prevent a titan from shooting.
@matthewrumsey356 yes but I'm saying that I thought you can't shoot something that is pinned so the kratos couldn't shoot the veletarii since they are pinned. But they could still shoot it would just have to be something else
@@deanolsan5484 it has nothing to do with the target model. The Kratos is larger in scale. It can move, shoot, and even just leave because the infantry is not of a similar or larger size. The veletarri however does not have those options. They are stuck and cannot shoot.
Hey Joe would you be able to give a review on this game? My local GW, to my surprise, sold out on day 1 of the launch set and every accompanying kit as well which in my opinion is pretty rare for the GW auxiliary games. I’m kind of interested in the game and I’m wondering what you think about the game!

one thing.. when do the hit rolls.. Why does the defender make the wound rolls? That should be done by the attacker
There are no wound rolls in epic, there are saving throws and the defender does them.

Voids are easy to get down, they have no save, you just need to hit them - and a Reaver only has 4 - and only 4 woulds. Thats a one turn kill if you focus
However, you need AP -1 weapon (after modifiers) to take them down them.
