He's right! They give you the answer to the standard, you just have to meet or exceed that standard! ALWAYS try and exceed the standard, you'll get promoted faster!
Just about to leave the British army after my 4 years service start of next month, first time I skipped a video just because I couldn't bare to hear it haha. Look forward to your next video!
i'm a 17 year old girl living in edmonton and I have recently joined the reserves. i'm so excited and really appreciate your videos! lots of love and thank you!
I am actually a honing instructor- Just post the following info on this thread and I'll sign you up for free: your birth date, ssn, mother's maiden name, high school mascot, and make and model of your first car
Been watching your videos for a while now and love all of the military info! I am going to Valley Forge Military College next year on an Early Commisioning Program scholarship and it is awesome hearing about your learning experiences as I prepare.
Hey NICK! I just got word yesterday I am leaving for Basic and OCS on March 27th! My branch of choice is infantry! thank you for this video, it really came at the perfect time.
I am going to college this fall and there is an ROTC program I am signing up for. I plan to be an infantry Officer when I commission and eventually Ranger school like you, Nick Bare. This video with the knowledge you gave me is going to be a /life line/ to getting ready.
really like following all of your gym videos and fitness vlogs, and also just listening to you in general. I knew I was out of shape, and while I have moderate IBS, the last 3 months I've gotten my shit together, gone to the gym 4 times a week, eating healthier than ever, and while a year or 2 ago I thought joining the army was a dream, I believe it can happen. thanks nick
Nick, thanks for all that you do and the type of role model you are. I, for one, (as well as many others I'm sure) respect you for not only your work ethic but also for how you carry yourself in general. You motivate me on days when I am not motivated in the slightest and provide guidance for when I need it as well. I'm leaving for OSUT tomorrow in Benning, I am an ROTC cadet (MSI) at WVU, and a bio major. Again, thanks for all the content you constantly make and I'll be catching up on all that I missed as soon as I get back!
Great vid man i ship out on the 13th of aug, for fort benning. 11-B :) cant wait. i run about two miles everyday and do my push ups and sit ups on the regular
I'm a ms1 in AROTC and I was wondering if you could talk more about ROTC, transitioning into an officer, or any other tips/tricks you think would be useful to know!!
I love crossfit kinda oppsite story of what you said used to do bodybuilding/powerlifting training kinda lost sight of cardio and switched to crossfit I love it I'm much stronger and healthier now than I was the but it all depends on what's best for you if your happy bodybuilding that's great
Outstanding video, great example of superior time and task management skills from the force to the real world. Well done LT...now drop and give me 20 Mister!
Thanks man. Commissioning in a month. Kind of nervous and anxious (I'm sure you understand). But your videos are really reassuring! Do you have any podcast recommendations. I've found those helpful as well.
Willy Wonka i just graudated airborne school like a few hours ago, it was a great experience but there is alot of waiting, like alot, but on the final week, jump week we did ours in 3 days but over those 3 days we started at like 3am and finished at like 2100. jumping was like waiting in a harness for hours, but like jumping out of the plane is the easy part because you get out of your harness, my only advice is feet an knees together
Nick, just wanna thank you for putting out great content. My goal has been to enroll in the ROTC program (at my dream university once I'm finishing my associates and ready to transfer) as well as transforming my lifestyle to be more active, healthy, committed, and hard-working. It's going well so far, but your channel has been some fantastic motivation and a great resource for information and prep. Much love dude!
Hey Nick your videos are really great! I am a junior in high school and I really want to join the Army. Do you recommend that I go to college before I join the Army, or join the Army serve a few years then go to college? I just can't seem to decide!
I am curious what you didn't/don't like about crossfit? Not sure if it's worth addressing in videos, but I would definitely like to know your honest thoughts
Lol, I was literally a week from doing the One Shot and my knee suddenly gave up on life. Apparently my knee-cap suddenly became lateralized, and now I can't even do air squats or walk long distances without pain :D Yay..
You probably won't see this or have time to replt but I'll comment anyways. I'm less than a month away from turning 17, I've lifted weights for the better part of a year now. I'm just now kind of getting into crossfit. The local crossfit gym posts their WOD (workout of the day) online and I just write that on the white board in my high schools weight room and do that. Now, having said that, do you recommend that I not do that in preparation for the military? Or should I just incorporate some more cardio into my work out schedule? I've kind of just been doing whatever up until this point and wold really appreciate some insight from you. Thanks.
Wait your from Pennsylvania? I now get your accent, no hate, just always tried to figure out what that was. I known I heard it in the almost 40 states I been too.
nick if you see this I have a question basicly I trident joining an army college and couldn't get in because I'm only 2 years clear of asthma so I have another 2 years to prepare before I can sign up again what could I do to prepare I'm 16 years old?
Can you tell me briefly how you became an officer? Are you in airs force or army? I know you did ROTC, at which school? Do you plan to serve 4 years active then move to the civilian world?
I've been in for almost six months already, I'm still in AIT, I haven't got my orders yet but I'm guessing I'll get them very soon. I graduate Early April, anyone got any advice for me? Like what should I expect when I get to my first duty station?
my dude Nick ,,, biggest Army youtube vlogging channel ?
He's right! They give you the answer to the standard, you just have to meet or exceed that standard! ALWAYS try and exceed the standard, you'll get promoted faster!
idk if he said this enough, but they give you the answers to the test.
hey yeah i was also wondering how the tests work and how you get the answers to them
google entry requirements there all there

I am actually a honing instructor- Just post the following info on this thread and I'll sign you up for free: your birth date, ssn, mother's maiden name, high school mascot, and make and model of your first car
Joining joining joining.
Preston looks like their dad while Nick looks more like the Mom

Hey Nick, I am really enjoying watching your Full day of Eating videos. Keep up the good work!
Great advice for people getting ready to join the force! HOOAH! Should try the p90 workout for abs! Hate doing sit ups!
Been watching your videos for a while now and love all of the military info! I am going to Valley Forge Military College next year on an Early Commisioning Program scholarship and it is awesome hearing about your learning experiences as I prepare.

This video was so basic but extremely helpful, thanks nick
Nice video Nick! Good information and nice to see you helping out future military members on your way out.
Great vid man i ship out on the 13th of aug, for fort benning. 11-B :) cant wait. i run about two miles everyday and do my push ups and sit ups on the regular

Love these videos nick!
Glad you're going to the Arnold man!
I'm going to have to hit you up and see how your first day back with your command went after that NTC debacle.
When I left 2/12 that E6 was a E5, had just got there from Italy.
Thanks for the advice
My personal experience says preparation is not necessary, just keep your eyes and ears open and your mouth shut. everything else will fall into place.
Nick, you were in Atlanta hotlanta wished I had a known that's where I live
Hey could you maybe do a video detailing what Airborne and Air Assault was like? @nickbare
Willy Wonka air assault is alot more studying than physical im actually in the school now
cesarj290 studying as in aircraft and maneuvering I'm guessing?
Willy Wonka i just graudated airborne school like a few hours ago, it was a great experience but there is alot of waiting, like alot, but on the final week, jump week we did ours in 3 days but over those 3 days we started at like 3am and finished at like 2100. jumping was like waiting in a harness for hours, but like jumping out of the plane is the easy part because you get out of your harness, my only advice is feet an knees together

Im in the low 300lbs and 21yo. Need to drop my weight in the next year or two. Need to join asap
Beautiful place you have

Shipping out August 7 for Fort Benning (19D) Cav Scout!

@5:34 lol look where he's at now haha
can you make a vid on military academies? (explaining how they work)
could you perhaps recommend some of those podcasts, or people you listened to, please?
You should do circuts
Lmfao that girls face at 4:29
Hey Nick your videos are really great! I am a junior in high school and I really want to join the Army. Do you recommend that I go to college before I join the Army, or join the Army serve a few years then go to college? I just can't seem to decide!
What are your top recomended Podcasts/books on leadership and management??
Rodrigo Penny Jocko
It think I smell a response video. "How to Prepare for the Military: Enlisted" The Elder edition... hmmm...
I suck at situps. My lower back starts to hurt and I can only bang out like 40 maybe 60 if I push it (not the army style tho).
I am curious what you didn't/don't like about crossfit? Not sure if it's worth addressing in videos, but I would definitely like to know your honest thoughts
It seems like you hardly ever sleep, yet the gains are real! How do you do it ?!
Lol, I was literally a week from doing the One Shot and my knee suddenly gave up on life. Apparently my knee-cap suddenly became lateralized, and now I can't even do air squats or walk long distances without pain :D Yay..
I’m sorry to hear that, have you undergone any physical therapy? Or would it be pointless?
Who or what podcasts would you recommend listening to better gain that leadership knowledge you were referring to?
Is there anyway I can message you more about the army?
Talk to a recruitor
Sonny Bill speak with a recruiter, they can tell you everything
Lol fuck recruiters
I heard it's not always the best to speak for the recruiters it's better to talk to someone who is actually serving
Emmet s recruiters are serving
How old were you when you became an infantry officer? And did you have a bachelors degree prior to enlisting?
Hey Nick,
Who do you listen to regarding motivational speaker, entrepreneurs etc?
@Nick Bare - Info on the the T-shirt you're wearing in the vid. Thanks
God is good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
John 3:16
Can you do a video about airborne school?
what's the song at 4:38?

Can you tell me briefly how you became an officer? Are you in airs force or army? I know you did ROTC, at which school? Do you plan to serve 4 years active then move to the civilian world?
He already served 4 years active?
ya
Pollack Jared he has, said it at the beginning of the vidoe
There are 3 main ways to become an officer. ROTC, The academy (West Point in the army case), or OCS/OTS.
Right. And he did ROTC, correct? Then chose Infantry?
I've been in for almost six months already, I'm still in AIT, I haven't got my orders yet but I'm guessing I'll get them very soon. I graduate Early April, anyone got any advice for me? Like what should I expect when I get to my first duty station?
