You are a good leader. My PL from many many (too many) moons ago was the same way. We would have followed him into hell and asked for more for him. Keep it up Sir.
I am doing a masters at the University of Sydney and their motto is 'Leadership is a culture, not a person!'. It is so great to see you appying this in your work. I kinda get why you are doing this CUT now. I thought it was 99% vanity but it seems it is about being the best in what you are doing right now...
You are the kind of TL that every squad needs. I can't remember too many times where the TL would bring himself down to our level. It was an awesome gesture to let your guys smoke you...and it helped you get in your workout :) I've only recently found your vlog but am now subscribed. Thanks LT for setting a good example.
I got nothing but respect for you sir and the way you lead your men. Ive watched a few of your videos, but until today i didn't realize how good of a leader you really are. Keep the positive stories coming about fitness and especially the stories of you helping your Soldiers. This generation of Soldiers need a leader who is willing to share those experiences, such as letting the lower enlisted smoke you and your SLs and most importantly, putting your pride aside. That's rare and uncommon in the Army today. God bless sir! Subbed. Sincerely, A Fort Benning "Infantryman" with the upmost respect.
I searched up Soldiers getting smoked and one video came up where a guy was crawling and he said War Turtle like every foot he crawled I laughed my ass off😂😂
"My job is to take care of my guys" fucking on point. That's the job of any good leader (I'm sure you know this obviously). I'm in Civil Air Patrol and fixing to join the Marines and they hammer leadership, especially servant leadership, into our heads. I'm a new NCO in the squadron and when I did my board they told me how as an NCO my job is to help new cadets get squared away and stuff, but the Lt's and all them depend on me to get shit done. And taking care of your guys is the best way to do that because if you look out for them, they'll look out for you and they'll trust you more have have better confidence in your leadership abilities. The team exists to accomplish a common goal but regardless of that goal you gotta take care of your own.
hey man, looking back its crazy how goals and plans change. this video is talking about finding a location for your gym but then now in currently time that has already come and gone. you've done so much in 2 years, i hope you are looking back and realizing you're progress. I'm proud of you. You've come along way. been with you since 10K. KEEP IT UP... TRUST THE PROCESS
+Nick Bare I notice you have a timer on your light switch which is funny and not funny at the same time but I understand. I done many barracks inspections and Soldiers are not very good at conserving energy.
Nick, you are a badass. I wish I had officers like you when I was in the military. So organized, regimented, motivated, and disciplined. Good work brother.
thats a good leader right there. someone who can take back what they dish out! its awesome seeing such a great leader in the army and such a motivated one too! great videos man keep it up!
When I first saw this channel. I had know idea you were an officer. You're humbleness and ability to approach problems always seemed to be that of an NCO. I just thought you ranked up quick because you went to ranger school. I am not military but take that as a compliment because I unfortunately have the "Band Of Brothers" Captain Sobel mentality when I think of officers. Thank you for your service and please continue to make videos! As someone that is in college right now and considering military after this is actually inspirational.
I sure do miss korea, and you're awesome for getting in that culture! most soldiers don't go off base and explore. I got ranger school in october then to Lewis, you're doing great things man.
That's damn good leadership right there. You wouldn't in a million years catch my old PL or squad leaders partaking in that kind of activities. Way to lead from the front Sir! RLTW
ever forward! also, I was stationed in Japan for 2 years back in 2011 and I know what you mean by it being different then expected. I enjoyed my time in Asia though, the food is amazing and the people are so kind! Keep it up LT!
It sucks how the human body can be beautified to such a degree, yet mangled beyond belief at war (God forbid) of course. When I watch your videos I see something other than a possible killer, I see a great personality who is respectful of rank structure, and an inspiration to me to get up and work out. God bless you man for real...and whoever is on the business end of you rifle lol.
First time I've ever seen a PL let their soldiers smoke them lol I like it though. Seems like it builds a strong sense of comradery within your platoon.
You are truly my inspiration bro. I really want to be a ranger after my infantry contract is up. I leave for OSUT soon , you just give me that extra motivation HOOAH! Salute
this is awesome man, i was born in south korea came to america when i was 4. joined the marines looks like your story is opposite of mine almost lol. hope you enjoy your stay in SK!
My father Cpl Steven C Lasko entered South Korea on July 18, 1950......fought to the Chinese border and was driven back by 300,000 + CHINESE Dad left KOREA on June 22, 1951❤ enjoy the Freedom my Father and his boys provided! I just recently discovered your channel and I'm glad I did so. I think the way you are doing your job is just perfect. Allowing them to smoke you just shows how you are there to help others and trying to keep up a good moral! Stay awesome :)
This was awesome man! Big fan. I just left Korea (Camp Casey) in December. I couldn't agree enough with everything you were saying. Your videos bring back lots of memories (Sojo, Taxis, Gyms, the Ville, Jihang, etc) I'm not stationed at Bragg in 112th Sig BN. Keep up the good work! I have an LT buddy who works on Yongsan he's big in to power lifting lifts are very impressive for his weight. It would be dope if you got him in a video he's a funny guy!
Enjoy your time in Korea Sir.That's one place i never got stationed at.Places and people are the best things in life when you are constantly moving.Great experience when you get older.Remember Sir,this is FOR NOW.....
How are you so awake in the morning? LOL Before p.t I'm like a zombie and don't feel like talking to anyone..You're over here making videos! Give ya props
You may or may not see this, but just curious how you do your over night oats. It's hard as hell gettin up and having time to make school before heading to college so I skip breakfast and end up with just lunch and stuff. So, these over nights oats may be the solution to my problems. Thanks for serving and for giving out great content!
Travis M. That's actually not true man, but it's a common misconception. When multicam was first used by the Army in 2010, it was referred to by some as OCP. However, it's real designation is OEFCP. The OCP camouflage pattern (sometimes referred to as scorpion w2) which was introduced in 2015, is very similar, but not identical to multicam. As of right now, the OCP pattern is licensed by the US Army and not available to civilians.
Hi! Were you stationed in Korea as part of the US Forces? I've been subscribed for quite some time, but I just found out. It's interesting because the locations in your videos are in Korea, and I enjoyed watching them.
Loving hearing about (and seeing!) Korea. I almost made it there competing for Scotland in Tae Kwon-do, but injured my back 😳 Thanks for another great vid. Your content is always so engaging and varied. Les Mills stuff is as far as my fitness goes, but even so, I find your fitness and nutrition chat really interesting! So.......thanks from Scotland 😀👍🏼👌🏼
You are a good leader. My PL from many many (too many) moons ago was the same way. We would have followed him into hell and asked for more for him. Keep it up Sir.
"All I know I smoked a Ranger and an Airborne
Lucky Marcus "all I know is I smoked a ranger and a 101st airborne."
Tab is teaching to o a leader. Rip is indoctrintion process. As far as im concerned they both say ranger

+THEwickedEND Thanks so much man. I really really appreciate that. Our platoon has a great culture and the finest of NCO's.

This is a really cool look into what army life is like, nice video
+MrOrazze Thanks!
It truly is. Very good look at what goes down at the range.
Brand new PL here. Your insights are pretty helpful, thanks.

Don't make your soldiers do anything you wouldn't do, Sir.
I sure do miss korea, and you're awesome for getting in that culture! most soldiers don't go off base and explore. I got ranger school in october then to Lewis, you're doing great things man.
Best of luck to you in Ranger School. It's crazy how many guys haven't even been off post yet.
Really enjoying all this extra insight to your life. Keep it up brotha!
+BacdiBuilding Thanks!
I was in 2nd Division at Camp Giant back in the 80's, don't think it's there anymore. You seem like a good LT, keep up the good work!

It sucks how the human body can be beautified to such a degree, yet mangled beyond belief at war (God forbid) of course. Great videos man. You're more relaxed and squared away than any of my old PLs.
You're a good man Nick Bare
First time I've ever seen a PL let their soldiers smoke them lol I like it though. Seems like it builds a strong sense of comradery within your platoon.

hey man, where did you go to school? It's cool to see the perspective of an officer in the Army. Awesome videos by the way!
add 'shelled hemp seeds' to your oats. I get mine on Amazon. 9 protein, 9 fat, 3 carbs per 3 tbsp
+Metalsluggi - wow..
Unfortunately, military guys can't do anything with hemp. They'd fail a drug test with that in their system.
Gillimonster 2 nah hemp only has an extremely small amount of thc in it
Repping that Ever Forward.
the invariable monster plug
not so subtle product placement lol
You are awesome sir. Wish you were my PL. definitely will follow your vids. Subbed.
This video makes me miss the military so much!
Enjoy your time in Korea Sir.That's one place i never got stationed at.Places and people are the best things in life when you are constantly moving.Great experience when you get older.Remember Sir,this is FOR NOW.....

SoJu: A mix of liquor and 'beer?' ¿Ok? SoJu is full on liquor.
+Lunatic4Bizcas Yeah I didn't mean a mixture but an in between amount of alcohol compared to liquor and beer.

Not too fond of the Army, but man you make it interesting.

You may or may not see this, but just curious how you do your over night oats. So, these over nights oats may be the solution to my problems. Thanks for serving and for giving out great content!
awesome video, keep up the good work both on youtube and over there in Korea. massive respect :)
Great video,
I miss the range....
I think with your leverages you'll find conventional to be very rewarding. Looks like good training on the range!
+Monte Matheson Yeah it's feeling really good!
Wth, everyone has got the M-frame, lucky boyyzzz
They're standard issue because they have ballistic properties and meet ANSZI standards.
Hey sir, is your combat shirt OCP or Multicam? And did you get it from CIF?
Multicam. I picked it up at a surplus store.
+Nick Bare ah that makes sense. Thanks for the reply and have fun in the field.
its rfi
K20a3RSX OCP and multicam is the same thing. OCP is what the army calls multicam; multicam is what civilians call OCP.
Travis M. That's actually not true man, but it's a common misconception. When multicam was first used by the Army in 2010, it was referred to by some as OCP. However, it's real designation is OEFCP. Hi! Were you stationed in Korea as part of the US Forces? I've been subscribed for quite some time, but I just found out. It's interesting because the locations in your videos are in Korea, and I enjoyed watching them.
Not sure if you had the chance yet sir. but head to Busan. Have a KATUSA and a few other guyd go with you. I had more fun there then in Seoul.
Loving hearing about (and seeing!) Korea. I almost made it there competing for Scotland in Tae Kwon-do, but injured my back 😳 Thanks for another great vid. +Scottishcarly Thank you! I try to keep it entertaining.
Sweetness bro, I'm currently in Korea for a year at Camp Carroll.
Im new to your channel. At first i thought you were in the Marine Corp. Cool channel!
+dalissa delatorre ARMY! Thanks.
Best mre ever
That too cool; letting the privates bring the smoke. Great moral building
Ah 1st cav, we were soldiers, love that
Hi Nick
Isnt your upper back a little too rounded when you deadlift?
Not playing smart just asking
Im sure that form at deadlifts its not great for your spine. But otherwise really unique and interesting channel!
