- One of my favourite things about Desperate Housewives is the amazing Mary Alice voiceovers at the end of the episode.....There have been so many but I wanted to post my top 5 favourite ones! since the show is soon coming to an end :( I hope you will agree with me that these are beautiful! Enjoy x
I seriously wish Mike could've narrated an episode just like Edie and Rex did after their death
I LOVE the way Edie says "It's not hard to die when your know you have lived, and I did.... Oh how I lived!"

Ugh, this show gives me the chills. This is one of the most iconic shows in televised history, and one of the dearest shows in my heart. I will never forget them, they taught me SO much about life, especially Ms. Bree VanDeKamp.
It's really the best TV show ever.
the early years were great, around season 5 after the 5 year time jump it strayed somewhat and never quite recovered to its original quality.

@@shanefolanUm no,the first 4 seasons were soooo boring, the season 5,6,7 were dark and criminal seasons,season 6 was quality,the monster whi strangles women,every episode a suspicious new character with a motive.... genious! Brilliant writting...

Desperate for life to be perfect again, although she realises it never really was - that must be a devastating feeling.
it's a feeling many of us have though, many of us look back at the past with rose tinted glasses thinking that yesterday was better but the irony was that it wasn't. We just have a way of filtering out the bad stuff.

Agree with all the choices, especially the 3rd one - I was literally reciting the lines as I watched it, I love that ending so much! One of my favourite quotes 'we can't prevent what we can't predict' just beautiful and so true :) Personally I would swap the last one for the ending of S8 - I love the part where Susan is driving and all the ghosts of the lane watch her. Another of my favourite quotes from that 'even the most desperate life is oh so wonderful' but the whole ending narration is just beautiful :)

The way Lynette says "Please, tell me what's wrong. Let me save you." You can just hear the grief in her voice :( And then when Mary Alice says "we can't prevent what we can't predict." So true, but so sad

shax the first one wasn’t Brenda. It was the actress that plays Edie as it was a tribute to her after her death.
