I honestly don't like these "comparison" videos. The reason this channel was unique because of your original war simulations, not comparison videos that lasts 5 minutes that can also be find in internet easily too. Please try to make more of your older content and not these comparison videos we already used to see these during your proper videos anyway. I just don't get the point of these videos.
As far as I know, these videos are a prelude to the war simulations themselves.
Sometimes comparison's are a bit pointless, as he pointed out, Britain's defense budget is 5 times larger, and geared towards expeditionary warfare, whilst Spain is a defensive force. What would a war between the 2 look like anyway, Spain could never hope to project combat onto British territory, and Britain has nothing to gain from occupying or attacking Spain
His comparison videos are more detailed than other front-page sources on Google. Like how the US was listed as having 20 aircraft carriers on Global Firepower, but technically 9 of them are helicopter carrier. Same source listed Japan as having 4, but none of them can carry jet fighters. GPF listed Russia as having 20,000+ tanks, but only about 2600 are in active service with roughly 600 being stored. The rest 10,000+ are outdated model, many of which may no longer functions anymore, and there are not enough trained personnel to man all of it. Same with North Korea case, they are technically the world's largest navy by inventory according to GPF, but half of North Korea's naval inventory is just patrol crafts.

With no allies, I think a war between the two would go something like this (in very short summary):
•Spain invades Gibraltar
•Spain takes Gibraltar
•Britain and Spain have a brief naval skirmish
•Britain and Spain pull back their navies
•Britain launches missile strikes on Spain for a while
•Niether side can invade the other so they just give up and settle for the status quo
•Spain keeps Gibraltar, but Britain doesn't recognize the claim as legitimate and it becomes contested internationally
•Relations between the two countries remain very tense in the future.
Most Brits really don't give a shit about Gibraltar anymore. In fact the only people who think Gibraltar is still British are the Gibraltarans themselves and most of them have never even been to the UK. As far as I'm concerned, Spain can take back that useless rock for all I care.
Gibraltarans enjoy quite many beneficts as their current status as an overseas british colony.. and there is a fuckload of smuggling there and tax heaven.. thats why they want so badly to continue as so ..and why they became so outraged whenever spain gets annoyed and irons the frontier custom controls..

I know it's an strategical military conclave but I don't know what would that add to Spanish control of the Strait as Tarifa and Algeciras are Spanish territories on the area too - even closer to Africa. England is not a potential enemy either - it's not Morocco, for example.
On the other hand, even if it added some type of military benefit I don't think that would improve my life as a civilian. In fact both nations relations' deterioration would have a bigger impact in my life as a citizen, that's for sure (economical recession due to trade war, less culture exchange, much bigger difficulties to maybe work in your country as a future engineer, etc.).
Maybe in a few years the problem is who wants to take charge of that Rock 😂

Spanish terrain is an advantage already. There are mountains forests and a lot of dry areas with spiky bushes. In addition to the cities contain narrow streets where numbers count for nothing. U forgot to mention that the Daring class has incredibly limited anti-surface and anti-submarine capabilities, until recently has had numerous availability/reliability problems and the Royal Navy is retiring most of its anti-ship missiles with replacements still in development

Thats is true but remember the patriot missile system really isnt capable with dealing with a threat as its radar can only lock onto to one direction leaving the couple of patriot systems you have a target for the Uks vast Cruise missile array. It is powerful but the invasion force would be much larger You could expect soldiers in the tens of thousands storming Spain once the invisible F35s have cleared the way of jets. Some countries are disproportionately stronger than the other, Laos barely has a military, and they were mostly geared toward countering insurgents. Thailand is a very militarized country, their current government is junta, it's the only country in SEA that owned an aircraft carrier (technically a helicopter carrier, but still an aircraft).

If people cannot see what has happened to the way Binkov has decided to change his format somewhat then it is hardly my fault that they are blind. He did this with the Japan/China comparison, a numbers comparison first, then a few days later the actual discussion of the scenario. Binkov prefers short videos, splitting the comparison and the scenario into two videos gives him more time to explore the actual scenario.
So keep your bloody hair on and try not to be so fucking condescending. I prefer this format, the numbers are at hand for when he does the actual scenario, which is longer and more in depth because he has more time to dwell on it. If you do not *get* that it is not *my* problem.
Well, lots of people dislike the format. We liked it better when they were all in the same video. It made it informative and entertaining. Also you shouldn't tell people to "go elsewhere" either. Its not your channel and a consumer is voicing his concerns. He might just indeed go someplace else, and that is not a good thing.

We have a pretty decent army, modern and with advanced tech but not too big. Just enough to prevent war from undeveloped north-african countries. It's not meant to fight developed nations such as the US or the UK. These videos are good and entertaining but a modern war between democratic and developed european countries is impossible.

A large part of the British budget goes to the nuclear vector, so the rest of the forces are more similar to the Spanish, which do not need nuclear weapons for now.
