That's 80 model RM125T. I have a memory with RM125T as the first MX bike that I rode. Although not on race track. I started race when I was 14 in 81. Like many other boys in Indonesia, I rode street bike that modified for off road. In 82, I went to a national MX racer home, borrowed his RM125T and rode it back to my home. Actualy that was too big for 15 yo Asian boy like me. I showed that RM to my dad and told him I want a real MX bike. My dad laughed, but later he bought me 81 model RM125X.

The '81 RM was one of the best bikes in MX history.

I had this bike went I was young. In 1983, I drove in the street. When I had16 years old. I was crazy jajajaja.
That's a 1980. The tank decal stripes were shortened in 1980. Also the writing on the seat was different in 79
@TheJer1963 nope, the 79 was the one with the squared rear fender. i had several and im looking at the 79 rm sales brochure right now.
That thing sounds great for a 79'
love the sounds of air cooled
@blizzard71 yep, i was gonna say th same. the 79 was a little different. remember those funky squared off fenders the 79 had?
Nice bike. But the stickers and the fenders point to RM125 -1980.
I have the same bike and realy like what you did to yours. what kinda finish did you use
