Fantastic short video! My last race bike at age 17 was this one. Our leathers would take the paint off the aluminum tank. Would love to buy it but I'm sure its sold by now. Subscribed.

It was more like 8 or $900.00 new. Prices, (with a lot of bike advancement), crept up to about $1,500 (or a bit more), before the 1986 FIM production rule, (which stopped factory development in the USA). That is when the bike prices took off, tripling in about 5 years. That was a bad enough intrusion on the free market industry. Now enter the EPA forced 4-stroke. With about 30% less USA population, ten times the bikes were sold in 1977 compared to today.

Yes, I bought my 1977 RM125 at the end of summer 1977 for about $995 new.

Sweet I wish they would build them like that today, simple and inexpensive.

Love to go back to these days of those air cooled RMs and have fun with these interesting times when the two stroke competion smelt good

Excellent MX bike & a “rider”. Well kept, and still a very fast bike in the hands of a skilled racer. Great presentation in the video. Obviously knows what he is talking about, and doing. Videos are just a joy to watch!

Runs good also. I kind of miss the days when you did not have to wait until the water warmed up before you can go ripping.

2:03 Stop the vid right there. What happens next is something even a pro racer will not let anybody film today,---them getting on their modern tall bike.
No wonder why there is no such thing as a hard ground off camber corner anymore. This bike did not need a berm to turn. :)

The very first bike I ever owned! Dad paid 550 for it! I learned to ride on this bike!. Im 60 now, might be a bit scared! But, i would love to own it, i would just be careful!

My bro is 60 too, had one about 1979 or so. I remember him wiping out on a jump. His helmet spun around 180 on him, never forget that.

Sir, I am an old guy. I would like to buy one of your old bikes. Preferring the Sears 106 or an Enduro.
    Contact me on ig.
    Thank you.
