The year is 2007, it’s Christmas. I’ve just got my Xbox 360 and this game came with it. I’d never played GRAW before and I’d never played a multiplayer game before. This music takes me back… staying up late, smashing online, everything was so new. Christmas 2007 was idyllic. I remember falling asleep on the couch and waking up to this music in the early hours..Somehow this is 15 years ago?! Ahh the nostalgia 😌
Bro exactly the same for me, I got my 360 christmas 2007 along with this game, MW1 and Halo 3. Probably the best 3 games to start things off with at the time
It was really the pinnacle of tactical shooters at the time. I ended up owning over 50 titles for the 360 and nothing really came close to the adrenalin that the two GRAW titles gave me. I switched on GRAW 1 with surround sound and hearing the booming of gunfire coming from all around the room hooked me. The feeling of immense danger and excitement of being pinned down under enemy fire and hearing Scott's breath as he charged for the next cover was unparalleled. Simply awesome gaming.
In the PC, there is 2 endings, one is where he makes it out of the nuclear facility after marking unharmed, and the latter where he gets out of the facility, hurt, but not dead.
Gotta love how the tech in this game is still current or still ahead. I love this game, and its music. A true masterpiece; I miss playing online, though, and it is a shame it is gone.
Found the GRAW2 community. Finally, a group of gamers who don't hate everyone. I love this community. GRAW2 was the first shooter I ever play and I love it!
InstertPic.25 If only we could go back in time to those gaming memories :3 ..Loved Graw 2 :D...put so many hours into it...Was horrible at multi-player but I preferred the single player campaign over playing it online anyway.
Dang... I'm speechless. Every time I hear this I cry. I can only remember when my dad first bought the 360 and this was the first game I ever had, and I was about four and a half. I remember being clueless and not knowing what to do at first and then I did the tutorial, an in instant I was in love with the game. I beat it and Captain Mitchell became someone I admired very much. I went on beating the game many more times, and then I played all the Ghost Recon games that have come before G.R.A.W 2 and all the ones that have come out after it as well. But none were as good as G.R.A.W 2... the theme music, the game play, the emotions, oh I can remember how much I cried when I thought Mitchell died at the end... I was so happy when I found out he and his squad survived. I remember after that, I read all of his biographies and all the books Tom Clancy wrote about him and his squad. I remember how I cried my eyes off when Ramirez died in the book and the game, and when Alex Nolan also died as well... This game and its music have changed me and my perspective forever. It makes me sad how Ghost Recon never became that popular and is almost forgotten until today. I have to see another game with Mitchell and his squad. I remember my favorite line Mitchell has always said was " That's because were not real, were Ghosts..." I'm gonna start playing this again on my 360 this week, I just have to. Does anyone know any clan that's still active?
Ya man this theme makes me cry every time and how i miss playing this game with my dad and having so much fun with him and the memories! Emotions bruh!
JohnnyDrake was his name, my rival. a T-97 Custom user. I'll never forget him, he was my gaming rival/idol until this day. the dude was and always will be a legend to me. Long live Johnny Drake.
i remember playing this game when i was in high school. My dad bought a 360 for himself and we both played together online. We of course started off playing the original Tom Clancy Ghost Recon on the Playstation platform, then the first Advanced Warfare on the 360, my dad and i got hooked on the online gameplay! The online play with our Clan "The Authentic Killers" on GRAW 2 was by far the best community gaming experience I have ever had to date, and base a lot of current guilds, groups and milsim communities based off the memory of gameplay and community of GRAW 2! RIP
I played on Team Black Diamonds, First Platoon, and Syndicate Killers from GRAW/GRAW2 on gaming communities like Team Compete, Digital Combat, MLG, and more. Honestly, best gaming years of my life. (response to your 5 year old message haha)
7th grade memories!! ahh miss them :( times were so easier back then.. school.. homework .. then play all night.. now i work sooo damn much i never have to have some play time lol.. thats life i guess
LoCcdOutSS damn , what do u do? i do 8 hours shifts . 1 hour commute each way. so 10 in total . managed to try and fit in 30mins to an hour a day of gaming.cant give up what i love

Man this was when it was all about the gameplay, story mode, and online. Cant get that out of any of these military games anymore. Socom US Navy Seals n Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter my fav. 2 of all time.
Dang, I started shooters on PS2 with the SOCOM games, then moved onto the MOH and COD on XBox360 to GRAW2 until COD: Modern Warfare came out and the first person shooters sort of took off and evolved, now its jet packs and wall walking, wish we’d take it back to GRAW2 with team based tactics.
This game and rainbow 6 Vegas were my most favourite shooters. When I got frustrated with one, I switched the games out. Much better than CoD in my opinion, just didn't seem to garner the popularity
Yeah, far more tactical and the fact that there was no "Halo Jump" noobs and quick scoping from the other side of the map was a welcoming bonus. Long live GRAW 2 :)
Couldn't agree more...the hours I put into GRAW 1 and 2 and Rainbow 6 Vegas...I don't even want to know. All absolutely fantastic games, and far better than the run and gun stuff we are left with these days. Hopefully R6: Siege is a return to form?
Pete Richmond Here's hoping man. I would like to see a real challenger to Battlefield and Call of Duty on the new gen consoles. Even Splinter Cell on its bad day (Pandora) is better than the majority of new COD games. With the exception of COD 4 and World at War. The rest just suck. What I like about the Rainbow games is that they weren't far fetched. OK GRAW was set in the future, but it didn't have a major futuristic feel to it the way say Black Ops 2 did. Keeping it relatively normal makes for a better game :)
Paul McHendry I remember when I played R6 Vegas, you used to use the trigger to snap to cover and the viewpoint would change to show your character and you'd use it to shoot around corners or over obstacles etc. That used to be brilliant and I thought at the time that every FPS after would borrow that feature, but it never took off which was a shame. I thought the same with Gears of Wars reloading system where you could time it to either have a quick or fumbled reload. Great ideas that have fallen by the wayside. I agree with the GRAW future setting compared to the upcoming COD btw. GRAW was far more grounded in the reality we have now and I think it was a better game for it. Don't get me wrong, I think the new COD actually looks like decent fun for what it is, but I much prefer a more realistic setting or something that we can relate to a bit more. Also yeah this gen needs to see COD and Battlefield knocked off their perch...
Holy shit the nostalgia is kicking in like a sniff of cocaine. I feel electricity running through my body as I listen to this and takes me back in time. This sound alone is a time machine, I think I'm going to stay here folks. I will forever live in this comment section where I belong, a better place. I'll be here in 2007 if you need anything. 😎👍
I reinstalled the game on the computer. I will replay the first game and the second game. Even when I'm playing Breakpoint, I'm playing with Scott Mitchell. Very successful and legendary.
the good old days when soldiers still looked badass not like the clown skins people create these days in wildlands and breakpoint 👊🏼 advanced warfighter 1 and 2 and also the classic ghost recons were way better then the new shitty titles but yes i guess these days its all about who has the best anime skin lol so laughable what just happened to these kinds of badass game franchise the last good game was indeed advanced warfighter 2 future soldier was kinda good bu after that ghost recon couldt be taking serious anymore
When I think about a 3 person shooter all the time i think about Tom Clancy ghost recon advanced warfarefighter 2 I put some good amount of time in the singleplayer, coop and multiplayer it was alot of fun
I agree since they already had the game series going and already have a book. Man this series never gets old and gives you and idea of the Army's Advanced future combat systems and other stuff. Plus I forgot, the ARMY SPECIAL FORCES. Awesome job man, 5/5.
In the early days when I had my 360 there was this GRAW 2 online demo played the heck out of it and it was crazy populated even years after it's release good times with the voice chat people from all over the world who like me weren't 100% on spending cash on the game so we milked the demo I eventually bought the game amazing campaign love Tom clancy's GRAW!
I've loved so hard this game, it was the first shooter game on my new XBox 360 ... I wish with all my heart that I could live those moments again... 😢 it was a honor GRAW2 totally a beautiful 3rd person shooter game, that looked so realistic to me.
This sound hits me in the feels & still gives me goosebumps, what I'd give for Ubisoft to re-open the servers for this masterpiece of a game, Team Elimination for life!
I just beat the campaign of this game for the first time, and it was very good. You really felt as if you were a Ghost. I loved the first H.A.W.X. too. R.I.P. Tom Clancy.
It’s sad that game franchises aren’t built like they used to be built with such heavy focus on thoughtful story building. Albeit there are some great current gen games that have some very impactful stories. I guess it’s just the nostalgia speaking. These older games were the pioneers of true masterpieces that the new generation of gaming will just never get to experience. I’m referring to the time, not the game itself. Anyone can enjoy a masterpiece like this without having to have grown up through that era.
Games like these were made with passion and pride; an era before predatory and exploitative practices became so widespread. It's such a shame to see how far the industry has fallen-very few games come out nowadays that are finished, enjoyable, and replayable experiences. So many yearn for the games of the past, and it's not out of nostalgia; it's out of desperation. A whole new generation of gamers _will_ grow up to play games that are dead, empty, and half finished, and that's all they'll know; they'll look back on older games as relics of a bygone era-the same way we look upon ancients like arcade games. If we as a collective don't do something, games will forever be made with profits in mind by both developers and publishers.
Or they need to make another one like this wild lands doesn't look very promising in my opinion I'll still wait till I see what the final game is like but right now it looks kinda boring

I've played many great games similar to GR2 here but I'm yet to play this game (yet). BUT oh my, this theme is enough to make me want to get it! Fantastic stuff!
I recently started back playing these games again and man it has been so much fun but low-key the first game can be a bit frustrating at times I forgot when I found them both but man I'm glad I still my Xbox 360 so I can play these games still. Even though they are also backwards compatible on Xbox Series X and S

Setting that C4 in Guardrail IX and running out was so badass
Mitchell: "TARGET DESTROYED!"
As the tower almost falls literally on his head and Aquila 7 soldiers come rushing in.

Need to be released on Xbox one
The Avid Gamer well said everything ubi comes out with is either milked or overhyped and down graded, I wish more people would wake up
I wish... I would play this 24/7 #GRAWTEAM
4 years later.... this game is free to own next month for Xbox gold members
15 years ago made my jaw drop 😭
The theme to all tom Clancy games are amazing

U still playing ghost recon?
❤ you still there?
Yeah, GRAW and HAWX are rare examples of "movie-style" soundtracks in videogames done right. His work on Full Auto 2 was pretty good, too.
Tiempos en los que la historia, la música, los momentos épicos y la jugabilidad importaban. Tiempos donde los juegos , eran piezas de arte. Los buenos tiempos.
Jajaja
Sounds like something hans zimmer would make. Love this game
I still remember how advanced this game was for its time! It's fucking brilliant even now
Whose still here in 2020?
The good old days bro 👊🏽 They just don’t make badass games like that anymore in this social media pussy generation

God, who remembers the 16 player co-op (1 life only) missions, what an amazing time.
I've played many great games similar to GR2 here but I'm yet to play this game (yet). BUT oh my, this theme is enough to make me want to get it! Fantastic stuff!
I remember when me and my older brother got our Xbox 360 and played this goodtimes
I recently started back playing these games again and man it has been so much fun but low-key the first game can be a bit frustrating at times I forgot when I found them both but man I'm glad I still my Xbox 360 so I can play these games still. Even though they are also backwards compatible on Xbox Series X and S
God I love this track. It always reminds me of the U.S. military especially the green berets! I love the U.S. special forces! 😎
I'm so fkn fed up with college/uni I think I might make some moves and enlist...
