I have never seen Jimmy this excited. It is cute. Austin is so poised. He is courteous, articulate, elegant and incredibly talented. His life will never be the same. I have watched the movie three times--loved it!

I've watched this movie 3xs. I love how he embodied the King & I loved how they switched at the end to show Elvis singing Unchained Melody. I cried every time I watched it. I'm old enough to remember Elvis and I'm glad the younger generation can see why he was so LOVED.

Austin Butler, what a cheerful and easygoing person. He landed this role of portraying Elivis after a great audition. And then was a success at playing the role in the motion picture Elivis and the reviews verified this and so did the viewers. And he did things that he didn't know how to do that also made him a success in Elivis, like singing and playing the guitar. What a good guy, he even played Pictionary with Jimmy Fallon. I can see Austin Butler becoming a big star in the movie industry because of his not being scared to try new things. Can't wait to see how his career unfolds. What a great guy.
Same here. I fell in love with his portrayal of Elvis and Elvis himself. I’m a 21 year old male so I didn’t know of Elvis much at all but his film and Austin’s portrayal was remarkable!
I like the fact that Austin is beautiful but is shy. He comes across as a genuinely nice guy. He makes my Gay heart speed up. With his looks, I'm sure he has been approached by Gays. Maybe he has succumbed to the temptation a few times.

What an old soul, amazing kindred spirit. Elvis would be proud of this guy. When he said he needed to find Elvis's humanity, that's the connection, that's why he clicked playing him. That's the formula... he seriously deserves an Oscar.

I think miles teller was gunnin for it but didn’t get it. Austin definitely looks the part more than miles but I do think miles is a better actor. No disrespect to Austin because I haven’t seen the film but from what I’ve seen Austin has done a great job imo. Glad he got the role. And miles was on Top Gun so everything worked out.

Actually the casting that bothered me wasn't Austin Butler and I must say he was much better as the older Elvis than the younger one but Tom Hanks..The prosthetics just bothered me and I was thinking Paul Giamatti would have been much better.

There was one or two kid - - teen shows where had to act a little goofy, scared of some TV movie and jumps in a girls lap, and then singing off key in iCarly as Jake. Both so funny.
You are now talking to an 82 year old woman. I should say young old woman. I have always loved elvis, and he was popular during my time. Went to the show to see Austin Butler play Elvis, and my world just turned around. I couldn't believe that anyone would ever be able to portray elvis, but he did, and I fell in love with him, just like I did elvis. He is a great, handsome actor who should receive every award in the world. I can't come up with words good enough for Austin Butler. He is magnificent, and I would give anything to meet him. (well, almost anything) I even had the organist play "Love me Tender" at my wedding, 63 years ago.
I'm 73, today in fact and I know what you mean. I saw the movie with my husband and I wanted to cry after the hayride performance. You can see elvis is confused by the girls reaction. I know it's Austin, I know what the the actor looks like. But elvis persona is up on that screen somehow. I said when it ended, I have to see this again. I Wanted see where Austin ends and elvis begins. Massive success. I've seen it 5 times. I grew up with elvis especially the movies and vegas. We saw him in 1971 at the international hotel. Wow and yes Austin duplicates him perfectly and they did say "Elvis has left the building.

I remember Austin Butler going to my acting studio three years ago and being invited to go see his interview for fellow actors attending that studio to learn from. He was known but not as he is now. Austin’s on his way to become a ginormous actor. In other words, an A list actor as to some degree, he already is. I watched Elvis and it has become one of my favorite films of all time and a big fan of Austin’s. Gonna be looking forward to his career from here on out. If you haven’t watched Elvis, it’s remarkable. Austin killed it!

Not only did Austin behave like elvis but the hair, wigs prosthetics makeup a transformed him. Elvis also wore girly makeup onstage to make his eyes pop under the stage lights. First singer to do that.

Austin may not look exactly like Elvis but my god he did an amazing job portaying him. The speech, the movement, everything was to a T
honey he does look like Elvis, they have the same body type, similar jaw and face shape, same hands, exact same hair color, his voice has low tones, same talents, both are good Looking actors lots of similarities. they lost their mothers at the same age. As Tex in Once upon a time in Hollywood he really was a menacing, scary dude. You'd never know off waz Austin. Even Austin said " I'm unrecognizable as myself." I knew him from all the family shows because my grandsons watched those and Austin was always on them. My gs are now 19 and 21, so Austin has been around since he was 13. Nice career.

It’s great to see a fresh face in the movie arena, he deserves so many more great parts from this role as Elvis. I hope Austin Butler has better management than Elvis did. There are life changing consequences to who stars entrust to manage their lives, and listen to the people who care about you when they try to warn you like his mom and wife and the hippie producers.
This movie can be a cautionary tale if celebrities see bad management in their own lives after watching this movie.
Don't forget he played Tex in Once upon a time in Hollywood.
@@FUB666 Tom Hanks even mentioned "cautionary tale" in one of his interviews about the movie, recently. Forgot which one. He's not wrong. Austin is with William Morris so they're the real deal. He's been acting for 20 years so by now he would know who has his back in Hollywood. Hopefully.

I’ve honestly lost count of how many times I’ve watched this movie on HBO Max. I think at this point half of the views on HBO Max are from me.
Austin was amazing in the movie. I knew very little about Elvis before watching the movie. Had heard a couple of his songs, but really didn’t know much. I knew that he was a musician and that Elvis and Las Vegas were synonymous. My dad had one of his gospel vinyls when I was a kid, but that was about it.
What Austin did in the movie and honestly in his interviews since the movie is humanize Elvis to me. I no longer saw him him as this “Elvis” that people impersonate. I saw him as a man who was an amazing musician.
Been watching some of Elvis’ first movies and listening to so much of his music since watching this movie.
Austin deserves the world. Hope he gets an Oscar for this performance! Will for sure be watching his upcoming movies! Seems like such a nice guy!

This interview was wholesome; I loved Jimmy's enthusiasm with Austin and in every interview I've seen of Austin, he's always passionate, humble, grateful, for the opportunity and toward his role. I can't believe I'd seen him in Disney Channel shows and the HSM spinoff movie, and didn't realize it. He looked familiar, but I didn't recall where I recognized him from. I REALLY hope he wins an Oscar for portraying Elvis. There is no doubt he gave it his all because it shows in the movie. He worked his butt off and deserves recognition for his effort, time, and dedication to fill Elvis' shoes. He brought him to life for those of us who were not born during his time, and for those who miss him. watched this movie 6 times and going for my 7th today at 7:50pm i cant believe this movie , the way austin literally encapsulates elvis and makes the audience feel like he is actually elvis, people was saying how he looks nothing like him but people forget this movie isn’t a impersonation of elvis, there are tonnes of those but the fact that austin literally becomes him and even sang himself and didn’t even lip sync is truly amazing and i wish more actors put in this dedication cuz the dedication austin put into this role is above and beyond and does justice for elvis presley. REST IN PEACE ELVIS YOUR LEGACY WILL LIVE FOREVER❤️

I was so very reluctant to watch yet another ,movie with yet another person portraying Elvis Presley, but I feel that Austin was perfect to play this role ; Austin looked so much like (Elvis Presley ),and sounded an moved like Elvis. Austins Showed so much respect in spending a year and a half in trying to learn how to speak and do anything and everything that Elvis Presley would do. I believe that (Elvis Presley )
was truly looking down and smiling on this young man.
