Austin absolutely deserves to win the Oscar. Not only did he have the daunting task of portraying an icon, he had to embody his life at several different ages (from 19 to 42)-so it was like playing several characters; different voice, different weight, etc. PLUS he had to sing! PLUS he had to dance! And he made it all look natural, not like an “Elvis Impersonator.” An incredible feat for which he deserves ALL the honors!

I am a flight attendant and my crew and I saw you yesterday as we were standing behind you before security. I stayed professional but wanted to say I loved your performance of Elvis and it was the best movie for me of 2022. I wasn't brave enough but you also had a security man next to you. But I/we saw a glimpse of you in your green/grayish hoody!
What makes a person truly special, in my mind, is their honesty, humility, and the ability to recognize the help along they way that they received from other people. Austin has a such a genuine heart and it is so refreshing to see someone that isn't just a bunch of bragging ego. How grateful I am to see a nice person being recognized for not being a jerk. Oh and I did mention his talent and charm?
Are these comments written by his PR people? I mean I get the sentiment of admiring someone you think is a good person but this kind of fawning over rich, pampered celebrities is so strange, by normals who probably have trouble paying their own rent.
When I saw Elvis for the first time I couldn't sleep at night. I was thinking about Austin Butler the whole time. His performance blew me away. He is a gifted actor. Austin winning the Golden Globe is really special for me. Love him with all my heart ❤️
Austin Butler is incredible and also so humble and gracious!! He's going far in his career! He's loved by many people !!❤❤ He deserves to get all the credit that comes his way!!
The words to describe you Austin, so hard to choose, devastatingly handsome with that sweet shy side shining through in your role as Elvis. The voice, the depth of your voice is yours wether it was manifested by playing Elvis, it is now part of your soul. The depth of your eyes reaching into the soul of others. But most importantly, the sweet, honest, devoted person your are is personified in your words, action, character, eyes. I don't know you personally, I can't imagine how the fame is enveloping your life, but you are an amazing actor. Stay honest, stay Faithful, stay True! Wishing you years of amazing achievement. Love you as Elvis but love you as YOU!
He’s so incredibly humble I hope he stays grounded and stays as sweet as he is. Not by Hollywood’s standards but by his….bless you Austin and go get that Oscar!!
You can see the spark in his eyes when he talks about his experiences around this Elvis movie. Right now he's riding the highest wave of his life which must feel incredibly ecstatic... I genuinely hope Austin will be okay once the hype over this film calms down a little and not fall into a dark pit like some do. Rami managed to stay sane too. I hope they can stay connected over this. Good luck to him winning the Oscar!
I`m sure Austin has just begun. He is such a great actor that he will do other great movies in the future. It`s so sad that Lisa Marie died, but im so happy that she liked the film, and that she was able to enjoy Austins win at the Golden Globe.
🥰😍💖💯 I have watched his movie twice & I cried at the end both times. But you have to understand I was born in 1950 & he Elvis has always been my favorite singer. AUSTIN BUTLER you are right on his personality. I will probably watch your movie a dozen more times & cry every time again. You deserve every award available. You're the best & ELVIS would think so too. 💖💞💕💓💯
Austin channeled Elvis! His spirit definitely was with him. He deserves the awards. I feel for him since he too lost his mom and knew the grief that LM had.
Austin is such a kind, gentle, humble soul. He truly worked hard for years to bring Elvis back to life and he did a phenomenal job. I was sad when he didn't win the Critics Choice award for best actor but I'm happy he won for best costume and makeup. I am hoping and praying right next to everyone else that he wins the SAG, BAFTA and Academy awards!
8 Oscar nominations for Elvis and 8 times to watch it at 8 cinemas! Austin has tears in his eyes while talking about Lisa Marie Presley....I had the same impression about her all these years that she never had to prove anything to anyone. Bless her soul!!!
I hope so but there's a lot of support for Brendan Fraser because he's the great underdog story of coming back to acting. I think Brendan is great, but I wish with all my heart that Austin gets it. His efforts so deserve it.
I have loved Elvis since I was 11, I am 67 now. I have watched every Elvis movie, special, etc. Austin IS Elvis. He didn’t just act like him in the movie…He was in Elvis soul and portrayed that in the movie.
So happy to see him again, he’s just the sweetest most humble young man. Wishing nothing but wonderful things for you Austin Butler, thank you for giving Lisa and her family happy and proud moments the last months of her life. 💕💕💕
When you see such a talent like this & they're genuinely so humble & sincere you always want them to succeed. I really hope he get's the Oscar as he so deserves it in every possible way. RIP Lisa Marie 🙏❤
After I went and watched the Elvis movie I told everyone that Austin would win a Golden Globe Award. He had big shoes to fill and he worked hard and did it.. Austin practiced so long to play Elvis that he still talks like Elvis did at times, especially when Elvis was young. I watched another video and Austin sounded so much like Elvis it was unreal. He is very talented. Congratulations Austin !
I feel that Lisa Marie was at peace with this Elvis movie. She missed her son Ben soooooooo much (I can’t image). She was with Austin Butler when he won the Golden Globe. I’m sad she’s missing out on her twins and granddaughter. Elvis couldn’t have been made without Lisa Marie. RIP
It blows my mind the timing of these films and the likeness of the actors. Austin has the same face as Elvis, is the perfect age, has the voice - it's crazy!! I am watching this film tonight.
I remember seeing Austin Butler in "Aliens in the Attic" (he was just 19 at the time and, even then, there was something special about him). And now this very blondie fella from that cheesy movie is receiving this beautiful recognition as a truly talented and promising actor for portraying Elvis Presley, one of the greatest musical icons of all time and the "King of Rock and Roll" himself. My boy Austin is definitely having the time of his life! Just hope that these exceptional performances he's given in recent years (including the roles in "The Iceman Cometh" and "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood") is just the tip of an iceberg of his huge talent that will show up in even more brightest, early unseen ways!
Elvis appreciated his talent plus he started from very humble beginnings and he loved 🥰 his momma Loved his fans, and music came from the heart ♥️ that’s why he will live forever. Then this young gentleman comes and wakes this Giant, we’re still in awe 🫢. Cheering 📣 for him, I hope 🤞 he gets it…❤
I can’t imagine living my whole life as a fan of Al, these ward shows then one day being nominated for those sane shows, awards. That’s so surreal. Love hearing how much he loves Elvis thst makes it even better.
the amount of energy involved in Jimmy's interview with Austin is crazy, you can totally see why he did so well with awards. Rest in peace to Lisa Marie and my thoughts with all her family and loved ones. brilliant interview really exciting and nail biting to watch.

Ayyyy my boy. The first time I really heard about Austin Butler was on a Jimmy Fallon TH-cam vid about him taking the role of Elvis Presley. I’ve been an Elvis fan ever since I was young so I was very skeptical but as soon as I watched the vid I realized how much he put into this role. Proud of you buddy❤️
Jimmy Fallon has never once made me laugh. But, I think he is one of the best interviewers I've ever seen. He actually lets people complete a thought before asking another question or trying to one up them with a joke.
Agree with you 100% about Jimmy Fallon. I think he's a great interviewer for the same reasons you mentioned. I've heard many people don't like him as an interviewer which I don't really don't know why. I think he's 1 of the better late night talk show interviewers.
Huh? That’s the opposite of what he has earned a reputation for. People are always busting on him for interrupting his guests and not letting them talk enough.
I think he has such a big heart. You can tell he’s a good person and loves what he does. He doesn’t make me laugh either but he has this really positive aura. Austin seems the same. You can tell they mesh really well in this interview. Even the audience is super engaged.
I love him so much! From Carrie Diaries to here. He deserves all the great things he's getting! Extremely proud and happy to see him experience it all. Cannot wait for his Oscar!
It seems to be gradually going back to his own authentic California voice. At the Golden Globes he spoke in full Elvis voice. Made a lot of people cringe based on all the on line comments. It is nice to see going back to his own voice.
I think Austin Butler is one of the greatest actors ❤❤. It was as if Elvis himself was guiding Austin Butler ❤. I also grew up watching Elvis because my mom was a super fan. So I watched the his movies & listened to his music. Great job Austin Butler, I can hardly wait to see what you do next🎉
Yaaahh go Austin!! Love seeing him getting his flowers due to how much hard work he put into this role. It's truly a star is born like we never seen before! Rising movie superstars come by so rarely. Good for him so proud and happy for him. Hope he wins that oscar for Lisa 🥺❤ Just being nominated for one must feel amazing though
The man is dedicated to his craft, no matter whether you're a fan or not. Most people don't memorize a full script to do a table read. Most don't spend 2 years of their life sinking into a character the way he did with Elvis. I hope he carries that same passion into future roles. No telling what he could accomplish.
I was so lucky to be one of those extras who got to watch every performance. It was like a full concert. I was a fan of Elvis as a child, but we even had extras who were well into their 70’s and had actually seen or remember the shows we were replicating. I wish the viewing audience could have experienced what we got to see as the crowd. It was the most fun. And Austin was so kind to every one of us that he spoke to or interacted with.
During filming we were all saying ‘ he’s going to win awards for this’ It was so evident even being ten metres away from these live performances. And believe me, they were live!
Wow you are so lucky! It must have been such a fantastic experience! It was awesome to see him in the movie, I can't imagine what it was like seeing him perform live!
Austin is such a humble, well spoken gentleman giving credit to others but recognizing that hard work is key to success. I wish him all the best in the upcoming Oscars - he certainly deserves it!
He is such a breath of fresh air, no wonder he played Elvis so well, he has the demeanour, 9:38 southern charm, politeness. To me the fact that he is still down to earth guy with his ego left at home. Hopefully he becomes a super star. Let me correct that he is a SUPER STAR !!!
I totally relate to being someone who is shy but also has a desire to perform and entertain people. It is the weirdest feeling. I really believe he means it when he says that too. Maybe he's a good actor but he genuinely seems like a good guy.
I just absolutely LOVE him! The kindness, humility, intelligence, dedication, and immense talent that he has is impeccable and brilliant. I know there’s a lot of talk about Brendan Fraser and his performance in The Whale, which I’m sure was great. I just really, really hope Austin wins the Oscar. He didn’t see his family for 3 years while preparing for this role and then filming. Denzel Washington told Baz that Austin’s work ethic was unparalleled, and like nothing he’d ever seen! He didn’t just “play” Elvis - he embodied and channeled him. Priscilla and Lisa Marie both couldn’t rave enough about how much this meant to them and how impressed Elvis himself would have been. He so deserves this. This young man is thoroughly impressive and an absolute STAR! ❤️🎶⚡️
i could basically listen to him talk for hOURS, he has such a beautiful, soothing voice and cadence... also, i love how humble and kind he is, seriously wishing the best for him and for Hollywood not to hurt him.
Austin truly deserves the recognition for the hard work he put into this role and not to mention he embodied Elvis really well. I'm so happy and proud of him!
Austin is so massively talented, he gave us such a magnificent, truthful, beautiful, powerful, mesmerizing, magnetic, electrifying delivery, he absolutely deserves to get that Oscar!!!
He’s amazing. I truly believe he channeled Elvis during filming. The scene at the Hollywood sign…that was Elvis! He passed when I was 5 and he was my first love. It just seemed like more than just acting. I think Lisa and Priscilla felt the same way. ❤️🥰
Austin deserves everything good coming his way he’s a hard working talented man! I’m so happy everything is happening to him! But my heart breaks that he’s hurting with Lisa hope she’s at peace now Lisa with her dad and son. And so glad Austin was the one to be there for her over the passé two years
I pray that Austin will take home a statue from the academy awards. He put so much into that performance and Lisa Marie being so elated with the movie, was just wonderful. I feel such a loss for Austin losing Lisa Marie for a friend

I'm not into Elvis impersonators at all! But Austin impressed me!!
Well said!!

I mean I get the sentiment of admiring someone you think is a good person but this kind of fawning over rich, pampered celebrities is so strange, by normals who probably have trouble paying their own rent.
a golden globe win, a BAFTA, SAG, and Oscar nom is insanely hard to do. especially for your first big role like this. totally deserved!!!
When I saw Elvis for the first time I couldn't sleep at night. I was thinking about Austin Butler the whole time. His performance blew me away. He is a gifted actor. Austin winning the Golden Globe is really special for me. Love him with all my heart ❤️

But you have to understand I was born in 1950 & he Elvis has always been my
favorite singer. AUSTIN BUTLER you are right on his personality. I will probably
watch your movie a dozen more times & cry every time again. You deserve every
award available.
He won Hollywood Critics Award though
What a humble young man. I'm sure Denzel saw his talent and his kindness. Glad Denzel helped him.
8 Oscar nominations for Elvis and 8 times to watch it at 8 cinemas! Austin has tears in his eyes while talking about Lisa Marie Presley....I had the same impression about her all these years that she never had to prove anything to anyone. Bless her soul!!!

RIP
He’s such a sweetheart!! He deserves all of the nominations! I hope he wins ❤
Such a shy, tender, humble and sweet man! And so very talented! Love him!!❤️❤️❤️

So handsome. Also, he has that thing where he makes the person he’s talking to feel special…I can tell just in his interviews.

Watch the Dakota Johnson interview lol
Huh? That’s the opposite of what he has earned a reputation for. People are always busting on him for interrupting his guests and not letting them talk enough.
Watch the Graham Norton Show if you are interested in great interviews
I think he has such a big heart. You can tell he’s a good person and loves what he does. He doesn’t make me laugh either but he has this really positive aura. Austin seems the same. You can tell they mesh really well in this interview. Even the audience is super engaged.

His voice actually changed because of Elvis
It seems to be gradually going back to his own authentic California voice. At the Golden Globes he spoke in full Elvis voice. Made a lot of people cringe based on all the on line comments. It is nice to see going back to his own voice.

He didn’t see his family for 3 years while preparing for this role and then filming. Denzel Washington told Baz that Austin’s work ethic was unparalleled, and like nothing he’d ever seen!
