I have to say - this is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. My grandma was brought to tears multiple times and she said the setting of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s were spot on. Austin Butler nailed it and I think Elvis himself would’ve been impressed too. Anyone saying he doesn’t look like Elvis - just watch the movie. It’s soooo good.

It's already playing in theaters. My friends said it was good. :) It was like the real thing. :) They said they really enjoy every bit of it, and it was like the real Elvis. And the Character Austin Butler sounds exactly like him too.

Butler's performance just goes to show how literal years or eating, sleeping, and breathing a role has such amazing results. granted there is obviously insane levels of talent when it comes to this guy but his commitment to a role is what really blows me away. it's also crazy to see an actor essentially re-live the character's life who they are portraying; from what I can tell, Butler was a pretty minor actor until this role so it seems that the nervous energy he had about wanting to make it big translated to Elvis's own climb to stardom. bravo all around 👏

What an incredible find Austin was. He was absolutely brilliant and for the first time in cinema Elvis was back in the building. Amazing job by Baz who made this incredible movie happened. I rarely ever see a movie more than once but I've already seen this twice and will probably see it again.

Her mom (my grandma) grew up as one of these screaming girl fans during the real Elvis reign, I can just imagine how she felt at one of his concerts seeing as to how the movie portrayed them!

I think he is so much better looking than either of those two. All I know is that he has tremendous dramatic acting skills that need to be utilized to their fullest. P.S. If you are younger and unfamiliar to who James Dean was, google him; Austin said it is one of his most admired actors from the 50s. He died at 24 and only made 3 pictures, but all were Oscar nominated.

In my mind it’s a done deal that Austin is going to get the Oscar. Remi Malek did, and both performances were unbelievable.
Each actor totally became Freddie and Elvis, respectively.
If someone else gets Best Actor I’m going to be crushed!
Don’t forget Taron Egerton’a performance as Elton John!! All three of those portrayals are definitely the catalyst for a little thing I’m calling the Rock n Roll Cinematic Universe, or RRCU for short!!!

This was an incredible movie ….as an Elvis fan I have to say he did an amazing job .
Very sad but amazing ending.
Thank you Baz for giving Elvis the big stage that he deserved and Austin thank you for studying, working so hard to bring his spirit back to the people that love him.

He has stunning dramatic acting skills, and I would say Elvis was a pretty dramatic movie.

@@TiboFPS I agree; still want to see him in a James Dean type role. To me, his personality and over all look is James Dean; honestly, I do not understand where people see either Depp or Travolta. I think he is so much better looking than either of those two. All I know is that he has tremendous dramatic acting skills that need to be utilized to their fullest. P.S. If you are younger and unfamiliar to who James Dean was, google him; Austin said it is one of his most admired actors from the 50s. He died at 24 and only made 3 pictures, but all were Oscar nominated.
He's going to be in Dune part 2. And he's already worked with Tarantino, fairly safe to assume he's gone right to the top. I'd be more concerned about him going a bit mad from all the attention than anything about his career.

My grandfather is in the music hall of fame of sun records and records and performed with Elvis I'm so excited to see this movie I recognize Elvis as an icon but to me and my family. He was a dear friend of the family.

The first time I saw him was in the Carrie Diaries. He definitely had a special quality, like Leonardo DiCapricio. His looks alone are that of a heartthrob.
