Thank you. For this and every other video I was fortunate enough to add to my diet. I would never profess to be a Sigma Personality. Who seemingly are the most honorable, loyal and most willing to consider any and all possible aversions to harm in any way. Yet, video after video forced me to evaluate every single interaction that still affords my memory. I am most grateful for this.

That's not statistically true. The best people for everything are lazy intelligent people. Fact. Lazy intelligent leaders - don't have to lead. The groups organize themselves and come to the leader with options to decide on. That's true hierarchy. True leadership.
A sigma is not a real prefix. It doesn't exist. A sigma is a 30's/40's beta male. They can't lead - beta males always go full fuhrer when given power. The most evil people undertake atrocities in the name of a good cause. Beta males have a feelings based non logical mind.
They make for a rich history of genocide. Terrible governments and atrocities new and old.

Agree with your assumptions and statements.
Currently, the Sigma isn’t even acknowledged as a leadership quality.
A management seminar that I was in typed everyone’s personality type. Then they physically separated us all into our personality types. The speaker then started moving the energy level up, asking, driving the alphas into a “we make decisions and make things happen, we run everything” frenzy.
Then the speaker turned to the smaller group and asked us, “what happens when their projects fail or implode?”
Our response, “we fix their project and their problems and they don’t even realize what we did.”
The speaker turned to “the alphas” and said, “listen to these people and you will succeed, don’t listen to them, do your own thing and you will fail.”

Was at a company team building day decades ago & the Alphas all grabbed their yard sticks for an Appendage measuring comp I & a few others were in another group - the outsiders. We planned together & worked as one whilst the Alphas all argued. The results were calculated with my group outsmarting the Alphas to a lower level. Ironic they had a bogus awards ceremony & my group ignored it & went home.

Your confusion comes from the made up term "sigma"
The terms alpha and beta were created to explain the hierarchy in some species in the animal kingdom not for humans.
Humans relate to the hierarchy so they naturally use these terms to explain their position within their own circles.
In simple terms, if you lack the qualities, ambition and effort to be an alpha make then you simply aren't an alpha male.
Calling yourself a sigma male is like a fat kid saying he has big bones...

Don't know why this popped in my recommendations but this is great. I am retired Navy. I've had arrogant, alpha superiors who didn't know me, push me into leadership situations thinking (probably hoping) I'd fail, but I wouldn't. They'd put me in failing, or worse, situations, without any support and leaving me to make decisions for officers several ranks higher, but I refused to fail. My team had my back, and I had theirs. Higher leadership showed themselves to be obviously utterly useless. It was so humiliating for these superiors they finally tried to promote me out of the job. I refused to be promoted and moved laterally to a job of my choice, as the intelligence officer for the Admiral who's now the commander of the navy. Anyway, it just blatantly exposed the ineptness of our organization and I finally quit. Now I have my own company.

There is a lot of truth in this video. I worked for an Alpha boss that enjoyed the attention and the success I helped create for him. When he failed as a leader, I stepped in behind the scene to keep the company running. He knew this and did not mind because I never took the light off him. After many years of constantly trying to babysit and constantly fix his mistakes, I finally had enough and resigned to pursue my own path and become my own boss. Today, I forge my own path and simply accountable to myself. Never been happier.

And actually they will not be treated as followers. They will be empowered to do their own thing as well. Being a leader is not really being at the top of the pyramid for me. If I wanted it, i could have it easily , but I see no purpose to it, why take responsibility for others when I don't need to. I will safe someone in a moment , but id rather them fail or succeed on their own, people need to fail and succeed on their own merit, people have become weak and ungrateful, they don't need or deserve a leader currently, let them fail, failure leads to maturity through pain , and that is sadly what's needed right now. To a large extent I think it comes down to the disgust with anything that have a taste of falsehood or fake to it. To be a visible leader often means being unfree and having to accept courses of actions that we don’t really believe in. Political considerations dilute our inherent values and we end up loosing touch with our own authentic selves. This becomes obvious when watching the tormented faces of people in politics that stems from their loss of personal integrity and honesty. To maintain and cultivate ones own integrity and honesty must always be first priority. That is the only way to ensure our contributions to the world hold true values, sincerity and insights.

I would not say ".... we choose not to lead..." because there are probably plenty of us that take & look for leadership roles. But what I would say is that we look for certain roles & if it doesn't feel right, we do not take the position & take another position that does feel right.

    • @rumblehat4357

This. Because taking a leadership role simply BECAUSE it’s a leadership role does not seem honest. Take a role in leadership that is in an interest, then it is real. I would never want to be in charge of a company or project I had no interest in.

We dont give advice because the worst vice is advice - The message under the advice is: "You are not smart enough or deep enough or creative enough to solve the problem yourself. I do, so I will help you and I will get some of your serotonin because I am too stupid to get my self esteem/serotonin from dominance over things and training my brilliant dog, so I get it from feeling superior instead. If someone asks me for advice, I start asking them questions until they get the answer solution themselves - they get the self esteem they deserve and I get the satisfaction felt by midwives.

Sigmas are the defacto leaders of a group. They are the ones which take the initiative and get others involved, and get satisfaction from it.
