Great video. That looks like an EX with the Vtech. Side note. Most thermostats come with the bleeder hole Fe the manufacturer now which eliminates the need to worry about air trapped in the system. Another old school trick is to put a small bleeder hole in the thermostat yourself with a tiny drill bit.
You can, but when you remove the thermostat, coolant will gush out a lot and it’ll spray everywhere. That’s why we drain it by the radiator so that when we remove the thermostat, what’s left of the coolant in the block will drain out and won’t cause a mess.
hard to see what you are doing
hey what coolant did you use ?
You don't have to drain the radiator
unless u want coolant every where sure don’t drain it

Smart
Vtec buddy, also it’s non Vtec.
Thank you for showing this. Because of your Camry radiator flush video, I was able to apply the same method to my 03 civic.
Nice video with excellent camera work and great audio.
Great audio my butt. Dude was talking way too softly for all the noise going on in the background.
My fans aren’t working and it radiator is overheating and my a/c blows cold air after 10 mins of driving, could it be the thermostat?
no
Hi, I need help, do you know where it is located oil switch sensor ? Honda civic 1.7cdti 100hp tnx very much
Why are you draining the coolant?
Great video as always. Thank you 🙏
Thank God I can see your hoodie sleeve the whole video smh
...same here
Would this cause the overflow tank to fill up?
Yes
I have a question do you have to drain the coolant?
If coolant is still clean, drain it in a clean pan. Removing the thermostat will drain out a lot of coolant since the fluid is coming from the block.
I realize this is an old Vid, like the car we have lol.. Curious what the Torque spec on the bolts is ?
im just holding the flashlight, i cant see.
Thanks for giving info on the gasket, exactly what I came here for. Thanks again.
Why I have to drain the radiator? Can I do it with out drain it?

On a 2002 civic the radiator fan only turns on when the the ac is on. What could cause this problem? Any help is greatly appreciated
Danny Salazar sounds like it could be a faulty relay switch. Check all of your fuses first
Try replacing your temperature switch and coolant fan switch i
My 05 has the same problem, did you happen to find the problem
Same. When i turn on my ac and heater nothing comes out. And when switched on it'll overheat later.
What size r the bolts
That hold it up
What do I do if I lost the bolt
Find it or buy one from the dealership
@@NutzAboutBolts never mind I found it
how does replacing this benefit your car? like what are the reasons someone would replace their thermostat
It’s a preventive maintenance since the thermostats can go bad and causing the engine to overheat due to the thermostat malfunctioning.
Don't replace it unless its stuck closed (overheating) or stuck open (engine running cold)
Nice V-D-O
👌🏼🤙🏼
Does the housing have a gasket?
no, you have to buy it separately
how did you get the bottom radiator hose off
tommie daniels he didn’t
@@FiyaAnt I replaced everything and now I have leak from where the right bolt is, by any chance do you have any suggestions of what to do next?
@@oh_so_cray_z did you ever find the fix? Having the same issue
Camera angles and annunciation my dude.
Never open the radiator always from the overflow

@@mronemanband1 even the rag won't help. LET IT COOL and verify no pressure by squeezing the hose.
