Ah - brings back memories of me and the missus doing the walk many moons ago. We'd been holed up after 3 days of it lashing with rain. On this particular morning, the sun was up and the weather looked set fair. So I said 'Shall we go for a stroll dearest' to which the reply was 'ok'. Seven Munros later on somewhat meagre rations was followed by a long slog back to the car as we couldn't get a lift. As a show of appreciation to my now (and still) wife, I cooked sausages for supper at 1 in the morning. A day to remember for the rest of my life - as are many similar tramps in the Highlands 🙂. Looking forward to more videos.
Well done and good on you for getting out and doing some hills but do we really need these personal videos of climbing scottish hills? Personal satisfaction should be enough along with the quiet connection with the landscape and nature which you are obviously missing with the focus on videoing it all.
Im videoing my Munro journey for myself & others to enjoy.. what you see here is maybe 30-45 minutes of sacrifice on a 10 hour day, that leaves 9hrs 15 for quiet connection with nature and to enjoy the views.. the bonus is I will be able to look back on my whole munro journey in years to come.. I already enjoy looking back as this video was filmed a few years ago.. well worth the ‘sacrifice’ if you ask me 😁 Cheers, James
Wow that 360 camera really does make things look steep. I hate big drops but don’t remember this ridge scaring me at all. 🤣😂. I really enjoyed the mix of ridge and wide open summit, so I would have given it a 9.5.✨
Walk looks amazing and video well put together! Random one, but did you do Vorlich on 31st May? If so I think I passed you as I was coming off the hill just at Ardvorlich house
Another great video James ! You are progressing quickly with your video editing skills as well as your munro tally. This route is on my list for this season as well ;) Keep up good work !
Nice one James. Some epic drone footage. Still to do this walk. Quite fancy a camp, but I'll have to take alot of water. Nothing up there eh 🤔 Well done on getting a lift. Post Covid times I guess folk are no put off by it. We're aw pals, hillwalkers anyway eh 😉
Cheers Kev, its a quality walk, I had half planned to do it as my first summit camp but chickened out last minute 😂 aye no water at all up there.. I actually got the girlfriend to take me up the road 😂 I only live an hour away so she didn’t mind.. hero 🤣 but like u say, probably would have got a lift no bother! Atb, James
Great video again mate, enjoyed that all the way through. I’ll tell you what, that looked an absolutely cracking day. The views looked second to non, plenty of summits and a nice little bit of scrambling. Can’t ask for much more can you. Heading back up to Scotland ourselves next week, planning to do Uncle Ben. Really looking forward to getting back up to the highlands. Keep up your great work, you are doing a fantastic job. Every video is shot superbly, well edited and good commentary through out. You should be proud of your production standard 👍🏻, all the best. Cheers Joe. 👍🏻👏🏻🏔
Thanks for watching Joe😁 great views and a nice little bit of scrambling, hope you enjoy your trip to the Ben, thanks for the lovely feedback 😁 Atb, James
Fantastic video...I did completed last year and enjoyed it thoroughly although it sure was a long long road walk back to the start 😢.. You made the day look easy lol I was wrecked :) ☘️ M
Great video of long day. Done the first 4 and need to go back for final 3. That final hard scramble... is that up to the summit of #7 or to come off it??
Thanks Andrew, was a bit of a challenge trying to film such a long day 😂 ah nice one, the harder scramble is just after you reach #7, on the way to the descent path, its not as steep as it looks in video but still a fair old pull up! Enjoy the final 3, Atb, James
Breathtaking stuff. How on earth this channel doesn't have at least 100k subs is beyond me. Will definitely be putting this ridge on my bucket list. Looks like it might be wild campable too in decent weather.
