It is what it is. But at my age now 48 I would have never imagined gangs being uplifted in black communities. But none the less I did similar at my peek of the same age.... IT IS WHAT IT IS.
As a little white girl in the late 80s-early 90s Rivelon Elementary, the skating rink and the projects of downtown Orangeburg/Happy Land Daycare was a formative part of my lifelong personality. Rough times, rough times 🤣🤣
I last went there a day ago and it seems like slowly they want to turn it into a more up and coming place although it's still inexpensive from what I understand.
Just left outta SC was down in Moncks Corner, and stayed down in Edisto. Passed thru Orangeburg & Walterboro. SC is unlike any other place in my opinion.
Left the Burg in 86,came back in 88, left again in 97, went to ATL for 12 years, then Charlotte for 6, in Columbia now. Recommend for you, Golden Buddah 7 in Marietta, lived there too. Love The Burg!!! The Barber Shop was called The People’s Barber Shop. My Dad used to take me there every two weeks where Mr John Brunson cut my hair in the 7’s. Do you remember George’s Boutique or Edisto Theatre, and the infamous Eddie Mo.
I was just telling a young man the other day...If he wants to better himself in life he gotta get out of this place. Orangeburg is and will be forever a dead end place for young people!!

I went to Felton elementary when I was a kid, I gotta go friend down that way in Branchville, But FRFR I never seen that part of Orangeburg " The Locals" Good Video
Wassup Daryl! This Christina! Kurt Price cousin. You Doggone right! Hartsville and Darlington in da building! 843 all day! Gotta shoutout O'Burg!
Honestly this one was my favorite so far. Everyone seemed chill.
Rough times, rough times 🤣🤣
she got good energy, you can tell she thuggin
About time somebody put Orangeburg, sc, on the map 😩
You're looking good .👍🏼👍🏼
💙💯
I last went there a day ago and it seems like slowly they want to turn it into a more up and coming place although it's still inexpensive from what I understand.
appreciate you coming to South carolina and show people how we really live here
Just left outta SC was down in Moncks Corner, and stayed down in Edisto. Passed thru Orangeburg & Walterboro. SC is unlike any other place in my opinion.
Im in Columbia shout out
@@FLINTmitten810 moncks corner? Man who is this? 843
@@Python843 I’m from Flint, MI. Was down there visitin my girl peoples.
@@FLINTmitten810 you gotta IG?
Hash is the South Carolina truth! Nobody outside ever knows what hash is. Hash and rice is a staple
Up here in 864 wasn’t expecting Orangeburg to be on here dope
Born & raised in SC, as well! I grew up in a small town called Scranton. Scranton is between Florence and Lake City. (Normally, no one has ever heard of it! lol) The vlogger mentioned she had no makeup on? She is naturally beautiful, in my opinion and you definitely don’t need an ounce of makeup. Sending love and prayers to everyone who comes across this comment. May God continue to bless each and every one of y’all!!! 🫶👑✝️🩷🩵💪
Southerners were using the word cuh or cuz decades ago..When you hear southerners, white or black, using cuh or cuz they're not using it because they're Crips...Now these guys here might be using it because they're Crips.
Yessssssir!
Accurate. Been saying cuz before crippin ever made its way to SC
True indeed
Once again, you people are so obsessed with black Americans you don’t even know any real black Americans most black Americans live in the south, mentioning a gang call the Crips is irrelevant also stuck on stereotypes. This is why I do not like this vlog
Love this channel, she did a amazing job representing her hood and talkin her shit . A1 content
💯💙
“Orangeburg is just orangeburg” is what I say too, it’s a different world out there. Lived there for 5 years.
I’m not from orangeburg but I’ve been here 16 years. She forgot to mention Brown derby, Ms. Tooky’s (those $1 dollar breakfasts were so good). And not to mention the restaurant on Whaley st called Home Style in the little white shack/ house that only opens on Wednesdays from 11-2 pm. Located beside orangeburg stockyard. They had the best liver and onions. I love ❤️ orangeburg. It’s home 🏡 for me now
Didn’t think I’d see SC on here, Orangeburg at that. I’m from low country Williston,SC currently in Harlem.
That's my city..... I grew up on Ellis ave... Thanks 4 educating the ppl

Orangeburg has been well known around SC and the Charlotte, NC area to be hard since the mid 1990's... I'm from Charlotte and know about little Orangeburg, SC... Keep your head on a swivel but damn if they don't have some good food down there!
Really? I'm from Charleston and didn't know this.
@@tezw6707 Yeah... I would guess Orangeburg is about halfway in between Charleston and Charlotte on the highway... I go down to James island alot... Have a bunch of friends that live down there and the Charleston area but certain parts of Orangeburg are tough.. but you will find that in any town in America you go to if you look in the right place...
@@Montweezy no not really! I think you’re confusing orangeburg town with orangeburg city
@@OhDatsJaVion you might be right You probably know it better than me...I'm talking about Orangeburg right off of I-26 on the way to Charleston...is that Orangeburg town or city?
Orangeburg is between Columbia and Charleston. The most dangerous county in this state. Orangeburg has a country Miami vibe. Play a twat and get stuck.
This the man though he been doin his thang for years !
Great little video by a well spoken, informative lady. Just for reference though your Uncles Sisters are your Aunties🤣
Repping my City ✨🌴 Burg all day!!!

@@quanbrooklynkid7776 😌 Love Brooklyn too!!! Half my dad and family from Brooklyn 🌃❤
I’m down south and it is literally different! I’m in NC and it be a lot of land of trailers which is better cuz you get more land for your buck than the north but everything be spread out like a mf! Slow, quiet, and barely anything productive to do!
Me too
There are plenty of things to do you’re just from up north I’m sure your family comes from the south 100 years ago and you’re trying to find your way around you’ll get there bro
I'm much older than you. I lived in Da Burg until I was 8 (1979). I too attended Whittaker. My uncle owned Owens Grocery. Jamisons pharmacy has always been something to the community. I remember getting that good ol ice cream there as well. I still have family there. I miss eating at those places and simpler times.

Shout out to the ‘Burg! Ole girl did a great job hosting this vlog! This was well put together. Dude told the truth about onion sausage and that drinking good boot! Ain’t nothing like it! Sending love down from North Augusta,SC area!💯💪🏿
I love this video! I love the talk about food too! Hash is made from different parts of the hog head. A lot of history in that meal. I definitely need to check out Earl Dukes. And yes for the onion sausage! Never had any better! 💚
I am Acadian, I know what hash is, we eat it weekly here in our house. Its a mix of the leftvovers from suppers in the fridge, moslty potatoes, onions, carrots and a type of meat. Then you fry it in the pan until the potatoes are golden and dayum its hella good.
The best hash is still homemade corned beef hash. The southern hash is ok. Looks real runny though like vomit.
Hash doesn't have any of that in it. It's str8 pork. Mane this the deep South.
Love the south, it's its own culture
"dirt in your head drrrdrrrdadda, dis where I got my first ring worm at..." is nasty work
Welcome to Orangeburg!
