Great fun . I hear that same distortion flutter in NY sometimes on DX . Sometimes a echo. Quite interesting the bands can be at times. Love the Acom 2000. does not heat up that much. Then it cools down. Great way to keep your feet warm in winter/fall/spring months. It chilly in NY as well. like 40F in Boston NY. Love the camera on the beam. Try putting a small weather station on top. Some HAMS have done that. They have some small ones .Quite light now. You can live stream weather data . Or give better weather reports over the air. Many ask about the weather. I get that in the US as well. Common to exchange weather reports with signal reports. NY weather can be a challenge at times. I run 4- 572/B tubes from Russia . They stay pretty cool if I don't push them hard. Rated 1.3 KW max I go 800w max or less like 500 w. even less on AM/FT8 stays cool . I find SWR/Power out/ Mode of use AM/SSB/digital/ Duty cycle, effect the heating of the tubes . Cheers !

This vertical does not seem to be working that well when compared to the other antennas you normally use.
