I am an auditory / visual learner , with paper text books as the review material . I must say , your voice , the tone , inflection and cadence , I can literally hear you answer the questions for me as I take the practice tests . Thank you for the hard work and quality of product , there is no way you could achieve this without truly caring about the aspiring Technician’s out there . I will pass these tests , 1 then 2 and finally the 3rd .

I know it’s been a while by seeing your post. Did you end up passing your exam?

@@Gnap1427 I did, indeed! Working on General now.

Are these the actual questions inn the exam? Also, how's the general going? Much more difficult?@@palierto

      @palierto 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@Sloppybob2 yes, the question pool is updated and accurate. Going well so far. It helps to not take a huge break between the exam and preparation for the next one so “older” info is still fresh on your mind.

Videos are great, I made 94 on my first practice test. I am in between jobs, so study, study, study. May even try for General when I do test.... I read a 20 year old book copy from Gordon West and was not doing too well on test. Your videos make the difference.

    • @HamRadioCrashCourse

At 94% you are basically ready to test. Take a few more and just go ahead and get it done.

This is so cool. I’m studying for technician and I listen a lot so your very detailed descriptions are critical. Thank you.

i have watched through 6 and taken 2 practice tests, the first was 68, the second was 77 and i am starting to understand the material and not just memorize it- thank you!

DONT MEMORIZE THEM!!!! YOU ARE CHEATING YOURSELF AND WHEN THE KNOWLEDGE NEEDS TO BE PUT TO USE YOU WONT HAVE IT.

My dad attained a civil engineering certification by buying the books and studying on his own. Yeah...I got an A in calc but I didn’t get THOSE genes. Again, thankyou for the clairvoyant explanations.

This is as good as I have seen. The club I participate in has a similar one-day cram course with about a 90 percent pass rate and it is about as dreary as anyone can imagine. It takes about 6 hours to plow through the question pool with little or no attempt made to explain anything BUT you get that license.
THEN you can delve into aspects that you find fascinating! Or do it the other way, delve first then cram just to make sure you did not miss something.

Thanks for doing these videos even more so on t6 it was my one weak spot
Took a practice test today and went from 77 to 80

Thank you for taking the time to make these license prep videos! I had my Technician class license, but I let it expire. The question pool is a lot different than it was in 2001.

I refer to a SPDT switch as a Single Pole Double Throw. As it can throw the circuit one way or another. Same with DPDT Double Pole Double Throw.

I'm a Marine vet. When I had kids I decided to get rid of my guns. Later when the Assault Weapons Ban was about to take effect, I got back into guns or I would say firearms. It shouldn't be a political topic but it is.

Can you reach out to armor lock? I can help, but they’re the makers. I would assume they’d have recommendations.

Amazing videos, but would be more helpful for future viewers if you define new acronyms as they come up. A08, While you say what the answer is, you don't explain what the SPDT acronym means.
"Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) Switch" according to duckduckgo.

Ham radio clubs offer tests on a fairly regular basis. The club I participate in has tests approximately monthly. The test is 35 questions multiple choice.
The premier association for ham radio operators is the American Radio Relay League and they have some resources
      www.arrl.org/licensing-education-training
It includes a test finder: www.arrl.org/find-an-amateur-radio-license-exam-session
It also explains the pre-requisites such as obtaining an FRN; FCC Registration Number.
