This has to be my favorite song of yours. It's really disheartening what people write on walls but I really like the turn the song takes at the end where women reclaim and take pride in their sexuality. (how I interpret it atleast)

The thing I love about this. It’s art made in the most disgusting place. Bathroom graffiti. You think that it would be a place of insults (it Moslty is) but it is a reflection of human beings. And putting it together makes art
It's a reflection on the WORST of human beings. People that write this kind of stuff on the bathroom walls (and usually the worst bathrooms) are like comments on the internet - the most inflammatory and extreme get attention because outrage is psychologically stickier than even sex (proven psychological fact).
The world is full of amazing and wonderful women and men going about their lives living and loving each other wonderfully - and they don't write on bathroom walls. I sure don't.
@@mattropolis99hence it being a representation of human beings. Once a person hits the lowest point, their true colors show. People who write these things on bathrooms clearly have been to said lowest point, and thus just shows humans in the bare. No fake smiles, no pretend faces, no status quo. Just a marker, and a bathroom stall.

I could be reading too much into this but it seems like such a poignant insight into rape culture, misogyny, and the power of women reclaiming power by owning their sexuality

This song is just so good. It’s what I can only describe as raw expression and I love it. It gives me so little faith in parts of humanity but such a passion to go down swinging and I couldn’t ask for a more confusing and incredible 2am album find.

Honestly, I have been through so much assault throughout my life, simply because I am a woman, and the way I dress or look. I have been called it all even though I never even put myself out "like that" for anyone. I was so severely depressed due to this, and I would cut myself on my chest as a form of "punishment" as a teenage GIRL. These people are so disgusting, and ruin lives. These things that happened to me is very unfortunate, but the older I get the more stronger I have gotten, and the more I grow comfortable in my own skin and come to terms with the things that have happened. It was never me, it was disgusting men who think they can do whatever they want.
We as women live in a society full of gender norms, and are expected to be, look, and act a certain way. And if not that we are only a sex object and our bodies don't matter. But fuck em. We know our worth. I hope all the girlies here listening to this can heal and come to terms with your traumas and grow stronger, and kick society in the ASS!
