Dilruba is a very modern drama. The way she does tiktok. The way she gets caught about her pics. This is all modern problems. I also like the way she stands up against the husband without rona dhona. The way her neighbour threatens The studio guy. I enjoyed all this. It's very close to our youngsters age.
Both Aamna and Hassan are right. Cast attracts viewers but it is due to their performances and talent. We love to watch Sajal, Yumna, Ahad, Bilal due to their strong performances. People are attracted to their talent and performances.

Shanzay is played by yashma gill. The acting is not bad, we all just hate the character of shanzay so much that now that hatred is getting to yashma gill
Ummmm i think Yeh Dil Mera had an out of box storyline too but obviously it had the Wonder couple so people were more attached to it. But Aangan had the same couple too but it didn't worked. So script does matter. People stop watching if the script is boring. So Yeh Dil Mera had that script to get people attached.
Yes!! I didn’t even know about Sajal and Ahad when I started watching Yeh Dil Mera, but I absolutely fell in love with the gripping and thrilling story and Sajal and Ahad’s performances which is why I decided to watch Alif and Ehd e Wafa also!!

I personally know people who don't give any reaction 'externally' whatsoever but they have a lot going on inside them... If you see Ramsha's latest interview she has clearly explained that she was 'introduced' to the character as someone who doesn't react... She did what was asked of her, that doesn't make her a bad actor or performer. On point analysis👍🏻

These Drama's cannot beat Hamsafar, Yakeen ka safar, Bin roye, Dur e shahwar, Kankar, Subh ka sitara, alvida, Gul e rana, Khas and mera rab waris and zindagi Gulzar hai. These were amazing dramas but unfortunately nowadays dramas have no story. Typical story with 2 girls and 1 guy !!!

I watched it because of both reasons. A unique storyline with a wonder couple delivering powerpacked performances. Perfect combination. Yes, the people would have watched YDM too if there were any two random people other than Ahad and Sajal coz of the very interesting and different genre, but I don't think it would have been such a huge hit without the wonder couple of Ahad and Sajal.

Do you think it's fair to compare "star kids" to their successful parents? If these actors/actresses need to meet the standards their parents have set, doesn't that go on to promote nepotism? I also partially disagree that I would watch a drama bc of the cast. Zahid Ahmed is a phenomenal actor, but I have yet to sit and watch "Muhabbat Tujhe Alvida" for longer than 5 min, bc I feel that the story isn't interesting enough. Same goes for MehrPosh, I think Aiza is a great actress and love her style, but the storyline is not all too exciting where you would want to follow it actively.

Agree with Amna, our dramas don't cater to younger audience. Mental illness and religious identity crisis are such huge issues yet they are never portrayed in a sensitive light with a teenage lead. But then again I'd rather have the writers do their homework and THEN portray than butcher a theme by superficially highlighting it for ratings.

I guess, since last year when I started following some of your reviews, have started watching these dramas with interest and I agree with most of your reviews. In fact sometimes I make these notes in my mind and compare them to see if you guys also noticed, especially the trivial bits Amna comes up with. Really appreciate your work. I really liked your Haute and Nought awards💯...good episode!! However, I think Junaid Khan’s performance in Kashf at least deserved to be mentioned. He has done a good job. I haven’t seen his work before but I feel he has brilliantly played this character.
For 2020 this list was perfect Bilal and Yumna are the stars. But wish u guys could have included late 2019 shows as well cuz they all were pretty good like Alif,Ehd E Wafa,MPTH,Ishq Zehnaseeb,Yeh Dil Mera etc all were diverse content wise. I'd say Ahad Raza Mir as Amaan and Zahid Ahmed's Sameer were out of the world performances👌🔥 Loved it overall n yes Pakistani dramas need to make content for teens it has a lot of potential💯

Good dramas only come once or twice a year. Baqi to sab time pass hotay Hain. Ehd e wafa, alif and yeh Dil Mera are 2019/2020 best dramas.

I started watching YDM because of its mystery and thriller genre. Not because of Sajal and Ahad.
I watched it because of both reasons. A unique storyline with a wonder couple delivering powerpacked performances. Perfect combination. Yes, the people would have watched YDM too if there were any two random people other than Ahad and Sajal coz of the very interesting and different genre, but I don't think it would have been such a huge hit without the wonder couple of Ahad and Sajal.

Nice I loved your today's show. It was very good and I loved all the awards. The Best Drama no doubt of half 2020 is PKS and the acting of both bilal and Yumna as Hassan has said is imbeccable. We all loved their chemistry.❤️

Do you think it's fair to compare "star kids" to their successful parents? If these actors/actresses need to meet the standards their parents have set, doesn't that go on to promote nepotism? I also partially disagree that I would watch a drama bc of the cast. Zahid Ahmed is a phenomenal actor, but I have yet to sit and watch "Muhabbat Tujhe Alvida" for longer than 5 min, bc I feel that the story isn't interesting enough. Same goes for MehrPosh, I think Aiza is a great actress and love her style, but the storyline is not all too exciting where you would want to follow it actively.

Agree with Amna, our dramas don't cater to younger audience. Mental illness and religious identity crisis are such huge issues yet they are never portrayed in a sensitive light with a teenage lead. But then again I'd rather have the writers do their homework and THEN portray than butcher a theme by superficially highlighting it for ratings.

I guess, since last year when I started following some of your reviews, have started watching these dramas with interest and I agree with most of your reviews. In fact sometimes I make these notes in my mind and compare them to see if you guys also noticed, especially the trivial bits Amna comes up with. Really appreciate your work.
I really liked your Haute and Nought awards💯...good episode!! However, I think Junaid Khan’s performance in Kashf at least deserved to be mentioned.
He has done a good job. I haven’t seen his work before but I feel he has brilliantly played this character.
For 2020 this list was perfect Bilal and Yumna are the stars. But wish u guys could have included late 2019 shows as well cuz they all were pretty good like Alif,Ehd E Wafa,MPTH,Ishq Zehnaseeb,Yeh Dil Mera etc all were diverse content wise. I'd say Ahad Raza Mir as Amaan and Zahid Ahmed's Sameer were out of the world performances👌🔥 Loved it overall n yes Pakistani dramas need to make content for teens it has a lot of potential💯

the only time I enjoyed Shehzad Sheikh's acting was a few years back in 'Choti Si Zindagi' next to Iqra Aziz. Very interesting play and great writing.
