we have some really exciting news ……
some of you will know that over the last year we’ve been putting out our “sunday night videos” - basically covering a bunch of our favourite songs and recording and filming them in weird and wonderful locations all over the world .
a forest in finland , a roof of an old bunker in hamburg , a lighthouse in plymouth and a deserted town in california to name a few … (all videos are available on the passenger youtube th-cam.com/users/passengermusic if you want to check them out…)
for me its been a really cool way of keeping in touch with everyone and giving you all a little window in to where we were and what we were doing .
the response has been unbelievable and we’ve had quite a few requests to put them out “properly” so …
a few weeks ago we went in to the studio and re-recorded some of our favourites (along with a couple of new ones) and i’m delighted to say that they are now available to stream from this link -

below is a new one and something that we’ve been playing at festivals and gigs over the summer …. undoubtedly one of my favourite songs of all time . such a beautiful and heartbreaking story . i remember listening to Tracy Chapman as a teenager and feeling overwhelmingly inspired to pick up a guitar and learn how to tell stories in a similar way .

When Passenger does someone else’s song, it really isn’t a cover, but a re-discovery of a classic thoughtfully done.
Man !this man needs recognition! He's too underrated, his originals are so pure! And they're really soothing!
He is just stellar. Such a beautiful, calming voice. So rich.
This is an INCREDIBLE cover. It's nice to see someone who finally covers a song without veering too far from the original. Not to mention his voice and accent add a tremendous originality to this cover.
I do really wish they'd have put in the final verse though. It concludes the story.

Musically and vocally it’s a good cover. It’s a shame that the story is missing. Two verses have been hacked out and also a small section that initially appears as a bridge and is slightly reworded to provide the end of the story.

This song is absurdly beautiful! The version of Tracy Chapman is beautiful without defects !, but that of "Mike, (passenger)". It is the best version I have ever heard in my life! Mike's voice is extremely relaxing !. he would spend days and days listening. This man is awesome! Thank you so much! 🙏🏻

I've been a fan of Tracy Chapman's music since I was 18. Singing this song out loud with my best friend when I got my driving license Lol. Lots of memories in it. But gosh this cover by Passenger is excellent. Brings something new to the song. Love it!

A lovely cover, true to the original by Tracy Chapman. This song was a hit when I was young and am sure this cover will also go the same way. My heart stopped at the 3 minute mark, thinking, God don’t let this song stop when he goes into the final stanza and I breathed a sigh of relief, almost like waiting for my last breath before I die 😀
Is there any song that doesn't sound incredible sung by this insanely talented man?! The answer is NO! I petition for a cover of literally every song ❤️ and from now on that's the version I'll listen to
