This song is post Black Album (Enter Sandman, Unforgiven). On that album James blew his voice out so he had to get a vocal coach and learn vocal warmups. Over the years he has fine tuned his voice to what you hear today to make it easier for him to sing. This song came out about 6 or 7 years after he blew his voice out. This song is now 27 years old.

Simply the best rock/metal song about cars. The way the lyrics compare the addiction to racing to addiction to drugs is incredible. Hard Rock at its best, Reload is so underrated man, such an awesome album!

The energy they bring out is multiplied when you’re a musician. Because the movements of playing the instruments helps to connect to the emotions of the song. Like the Bissi shimmi shimmi!

I have been fortunate to see Metallica 11 times live including their 72 seasons no repeat weekend tour. James' voice sounded really good on 72 seasons tour. Metallica in my opinion is the best metal band. I like songs from every albumn they have recorded. They are a great live band as well. Keep rocking on Bisscute!!!

This song has been playing in Fortnite's Season 3 of Chapter 5 "Wrecked" among many other Metallica songs. There's even an emote! I first heard this song brand new as a kid in 1997. I loved it immediately, I love it today. I've probably heard it thousands of times over the years. It's a hype song for sure!
Well. Since you brought up the subject. I might've suggested this before when you saw "Ford V Ferrari", but you should check out "Days Of Thunder". It's another race car movie, except NASCAR instead of formula one. It's a Tom Cruise movie from 1990, and I'm not going to lie to you, it's kind of just Top Gun with race cars instead of fighter jets, but that's not a bad thing. It also stars Robert Duvall, who's not on your radar yet, but one of America's greatest actors that's been around since the 60s, and it also has Tom's ex-wife Nicole Kidman, early in her career when she was fresh from Australia, and is where her and Tom met, I'm assuming. Fun flick though! You should put it on your list.
