I was able to do botw without ever interacting with a goddess statue, was hoping to in totk as well
Great video. Extra info: for those who doesn't waste so many points on stamina (or they had already wasted their points on hearts) there's a statue on the main base (underground, it's locked at the beginning, then there's a mission who guide you there). That statue can trade you stamina for hearts, and vice versa. Only costs some rupees, it's worth it if you only want the sword.
@@PhillyBeatzU Yeah. Did water temple, some zora came into the base. Then i could restore the stable, and that mission was on the underground zone, where there's a guy reading the newspaper.
You don't need to do any of this quest to get the master sword. The dragon roams the entire map, if you can find it on your own, you can get the master sword without doing the quest.
I specifically said this is the only quest that tracks the master sword. Also you still need 20 full stamina and have to go to the correct tower or sky island to get it during its pathing
IF ANYBODY IS STUCK ON THE BOSS, LAND ON THE LEDGE and use two Zonai carts, FLIP them upside down to stand on top of, they will keep you safe from the gloom and allow you to kill everything from a safe spot without taking damage!

It's not worth cooking 2 endura carrots or more in any meal. Run from the hands and burn your stamina to empty, pause and eat another cooked endura fried greens to get the stamina back and keep booking it. You can definitely outrun anything this way.
9:30 - actually, no, you also get the tracking dot for the Master Sword by finishing the geoglyph quest line Impa sends you on. And, frankly... this Deku Tree route is nice for speedrunners, but everyone should get it by the geoglyph route their first time, it's much more emotionally satisfying. You find out what's special about the fourth dragon and how the Master Sword ended up in her forehead, and it's a real tearjerker.
How do I track the dragon? I found all the tears and everything and the dragon appeared once during the cutscene when you find the last tear and I've never found it again and idk how to look for it other than randomly teleporting around the map
@@pyro5803 First off, you did get ALL the tears, including the one that appears on the swirly peninsula near Tarrey Town after you get all the ones from the geoglyphs, right? If not, go get that one, then... Track the quest in your quest log (iirc the name is "Tears of the Dragon", but anyway it's in the Main Quests section so it should be pretty easy to find even if that's wrong), then you'll get the target dot that moves along with the dragon on your map and compass. Then just teleport to the nearest tower (assuming you activated them all while you were collecting the geoglyphs), launch from it, and dive/glide onto the dragon (using sky islands and then flying contraptions to extend your travel range from the tower if necessary, though it probably won't be).
@Space Pirate Roberts yeah the quest is marked as complete, I found all the tears and everything but never got any way to track the dragon, the dragon appeared once when it dropped the final tear and you find out the truth and that was the end of the quest for me, it marked it complete and that was it
@@pyro5803 thats not the end of it. if you go to the spot where the tear landed (the center of the swirly thing next to tarrey town) there is one final memory, which makes the dragon spawn right next to you. if you use the sky tower thats right on top of tarrey town youll have more than enough time/stamina to get on her head, and even if you miss theres air currents all around her to lift you back up
@Aykalia yeah I got that last tear and she spawned but wasn't able to catch her in time, I finally got the sword, idk if it was glitched but she was flying higher than the highest sky islands, I had to glitch and launch myself a thousand feet into the air to get to it

You could say it takes longer, but even that I see as even to your method. Phantom Ganon should be a much later challenge on this game!
It’s definitely the easier method as you don’t have to worry about the Depths which I think are awful. And admittedly it’s not hard to find and get to once you get the paraglider and travel from the towers
I randomly stumbled upon this underground but instead of running through the part with the gloom hands like you (and I) attempted the first time, if you go to the tree tops on the left of korok grove, it will lead straight to that sand area with 0 enemies or gloom hands.... But then there's still the one .. In the tree lol, where i then got clapped by phantom ganon.. And then i left.
Yk if you have the sage of wind unlocked, you can traverse the gloom stuff through the trees by gloding and winding over from tree to tree and its MUCH SAFER.
Fun fact you don’t need to be an esports level player or boosts for the phantom ganon fight. Because all I did was rush phantom Ganon and he was locked into a basic attack which is easy to dodge. I had specific weapons. I had 18 canons,24 damage bow, birb kid and 2 weapons that had up to 24 attack damage. I used the canons combined with arrows for the hands. And I literally only used two zonaite swords that had a black horriblin part on them. Which has a total of 24 attack damage I also only used 1 to 2 shields. Both shields were boko type shields. One spiked one regular. And I did a rush and dodge technique to beat phantom ganon. Literally ran up to him smacked him 2 to 3 times, dodged his basic swipe attack and repeated the process. Keep in mind I absolutely suck at flurry rush dodging. I also learned whenever you strike phantom ganon, his gloom sort of disappears as a result if your fast enough his gloom is basically canceled out.
