This seems like one of the more tricky ones just due to the tree setup. The end result puts you right into battle with the allies or Japan. No easy path to goble up more minor nation's. I wonder if you could make your way over to the mid-east to avoid getting tangled up with the other major powers and gain territory.

You CAN actually send volunteers once the Indonesian civil war triggers, I've done it many times. However you do have to wait with justifying untill you are free. Also New Zealand will always deny your demand for annexation. And the event for mobilization only fires when you don't have civilian economy when there are elections (which is in September 1937).
A good idea would be to give Malaya all of Indonesia, because, using a decesion they can core all of their land. That would give you tons of Indonesian manpower, without having to use 2 puppets.
You know what I don’t get about this game? If I recall correctly, Fidel Castro is a Cuban advisor when he was only 9 when the game begins. I understand mods being that way because they’re, well, mods but not vanilla. I don’t know exactly when he adopted Marxist revolutionary ideas, but I know his ally Che Guevara did in the early 1950s.
Its quite simple to make Australia a super power, first thing you gotta do is cancel all of your productions and make a new production tab of towed artillery, hit '10×' and fill all 15 slots. Now you cannot be beaten as you must use artillery only
For those watching in 2024, this strategy is still doable, although there have been some changes and some luck is needed. 1 - Fascist support is now quicker to grow however you need to remain a democracy (a dominion) for certain focuses. You will now be in race against time to unlock 'Protect the South West Pacific' before either the 1937 election converts you to fascist or a civil war breaks out. You won't need the fascist demagogue. 2 - Indonesian civil war is harder. The Dutch now have a stranglehold on the island of Java and attacking over straights is the only way to defeat them. Despite the volunteers spawning in the Eastern Sunda islands, I suggests transporting them to Sumatra and attacking Java from the West, this straight seems weaker and will lead to victory quicker. Also you'll need some infantry instead of cavalry. 3 - If world tension hits 40% before you are able conquer the Indonesian Order, they are likely to join the Japanese faction and doom your plans. So I suggest justifying war goal on Indonesian Order before Thailand and putting all effort into this conquest before Apr 1939. 4 - Conquering Thailand as shown in the video isn't easy due to supply bottlenecks down the Malay peninsula. Instead consider a naval invasion around Bangkok. It holds the key and once it falls the enemy crumbles.
Could you make another China min max in waking the tiger? If not, maybe a Raj or a generic focus nation like Brazil or Spain? This is a great series, I love your content and channel!
What do you guys think about keeping Indonesia as a puppet for the 60M population? It adds a lot of challenge managing the large puppet, but it overcomes one of Australia's biggest weaknesses.
Pretty late comment, but I've tried to follow your guide from this vid and I always get stuck on some measly island east of Java when the Indonesia order revolt against their masters. So my four volunteers never get across the straights. Maybe a marine/amphibious setup would aid me better?
@@Kazakre don't remember correctly but I think I went the arty land doctrine and mixed in some marines. In the long run I really abandoned borneo and the small islands and dug in on Singapore and the Java än sumatra islands, making the Japanese land troops and then encircle them killing off their infantry one or two at a time. Naval bombing like crazy and building fast carriers to start picking their fleets off. I ended up annexing Japan anyways 🙂👍🏻
I used 4 Marine volunteers with 6 battalions in each (max special forces) and medium bombers have the range from the one airbase to give air support. This brings down the naval penalty fighting across the straits. Supply problems require you to cycle the marines out of battle occasionally and move them back towards the port, but you don't need to go all the way back to port. The rebel Indonesian army can hold the line while you gather more supplies. With some liberal use of force attacks and staff planning you can swing the odds on crucial battles and crack that one strait leading to a mountain tile on a main island. Once you crack that choke point you can start breaking out.
What does the artillery expert do exactly? Does it affect pure infantry divisions with sup. art. only? Does it affect the regular 7-2's? Or, does it have to be an artillery heavy division, like 4-4 or some other artillery heavy divisions?

It says, like you at 9:35, that I need to be at 75% Satellite, but I'm stuck on dominion(100%, but didn't get Free, as you said) and I switched to Fascist. Is it true you need Death and Dishonor DLC for this to work?
Super Canada ??? With all the manpower issues, and the choice between solving the great depression or solving the manpower issues it's hard to be anything but in a faction who just lend leases gear to others.
Some of Australia playthrough is fun, some is not. I, not knowing this video, tried out ahistorical for fun. The Dutch colony became my puppet automatically when they won, and I still don't know why. I don't mind, but it appears they changed it compared to this? Also, with ahistorical, GB went communist and gave me the sweet "guided by Britain" buff... now, unfortnately, Malaysia got it too... and it PERSISTED after, it's PERMANENT in my playthrough... so that means my Malaysia puppet gets +1 autonomy each tick... it's literally impossible to annex them and now instead I just leech them for resources and await their freedom. This ahistorical game everyone went communist... France, GB, Spain, Greece, and so forth. Germany got absolutely _wrecked_ in the civil war as usual and so Italy and Turkey and Hungary made the Axis/Rome pact and got waltzed over by Soviet because THEY declared war on THEM... and brought other nations in too, for Comitern. Meanwhile, GB is ALSO commie and the Allies faction is like half democrats and half commies. At least they abandoned colonies, so I DOWed New Zealand and got the Arabian minors previously under uk, and Maldives and Sri Lanka. So far so good. But now what. AI India somehow seems to bypass all natural restrictions whatsoever and has a way too large army for me to deal with. Seems rest of the game is just island jumping. Everything is limited by the manpower, even with collab govs you get only up to 150k and a small army by 1944... You can make a decent fleet and do that, but the gameplay severly lacks the satisfaction of actually being able to, you know, _fight._

OP Turkey with vanilla game. From all Balkans from Vienna to Crimea, Middle East eg Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Iraq, Syria Saudi Arabia and the Caucuses Georgia, Azerbaijan and Northern Iran.. Basically all the maximum extent of the Ottomans plus a little more. Maybe all the central Turkic people too :)

I was playing Australia when man the guns first came out, I went down the similar route on the focus tree, and I spammed subs. I ended up going to war with the alies pretty early. They'll annoy you if theres nothing going on in europe, but leave you alone if germany starts making noise. By the time they actually start trying to do something about you, you could probably take india and french indo-china. Also, spamming subs is op af, I wiped the british navy with like 20 subs, granted, 1944 with max upgrades, but still.

I seem to remember that if you can take New Zealand (after declaring war) then you get an event for the allies to stop the war and you get away with having NZL
So I guess this is probably out of date now though, but do you run with Historical Focus for these sorts of playthrough's or just YOLO it with random fun times? Also, initial construction, Mil or Civ factories?

Ive noticed indonbesia does not split liek that in my games. They suually end up in a slug fest on the southern island chains which i cant push through at all with tanks or marines.
Tried this and failed on taking over Dutch indies. I was a few months behind and they had 2 military factories and 5 divisions. Whilst i had no support from no other nation Why is this

Just a tip to the discrediting of the government, which would be better to do once hitting 20% popularity of the desired ideology as the growth of popularity will slow down from then on. This meaning you will reach your desired ideology faster. More or less 100 days I think.

The answer is: has to be a division classed as artillery. The infantry guy also buffs arty divisions, so you can double dip.

Without historical you tend to get a lot of randomness making it tougher to pull off OMEGALUL moments
