I do commercial/industrial HVAC and use a veto bag daily. It endures the sun, rain, snow, chemicals, and gets beat up regularly. Still using the same bag that I started in the field with 10 years ago out of highschool.

An open top cradle style C.L.C. (Custom Leather Craft)...wore it out and got the Klein Back pack..was not happy how soon it caved and would not stand up no more...got another CLC but their back pack version and after only a month its starting to not want to stand up...anyway I'm a single dad of 3,so I usually do pretty well at tax time so if the offer is still available,I might just treat myself to the Veto/Wiha colab bag.seems very durable!! -Veto MB3B is what I use for commercial refrigeration.
    -Fieldpiece BG36 for residential refrigeration
-Milwaukee tech bag for HVAC sealed system work
-Veto tech series & Milwaukee packout backpack used for tool storage and general usage.

Spending on gear is very personal.
Different topic, but I bought a photography backpack about 6 years ago.
At the time, I thought it was crazy to spend over £600 for a bag.
But it still serves me well. It protects literally thousands of pounds of gear, it's comfortable all day, loaded with over 20kgs of cameras, lenses, tripods, etc...
So there's no right or wrong answer...
    Good review, carry on.

The bag does indeed looks nice and it does make sense that the Wiha with the extra tools would be a better option, but both my Milwaukee and Stanley Fatmax bags work pretty well depending on what I'm doing and if I need the bigger Milwaukee or the smaller Stanley. The Stanley also has reattachable tool slot compartment, which is very useful for me, because I can remove that part when I work and I won't have to dig up in my bag all the time. I've got both bags combined for around $150, which is around 1/3 of the price of the Veto Pro. I'd much rather spend the extra money on quality tools.

1 year of part time use is never enough to assess the value of a Veto bag. Use it 2-3 years 40-60 hours on average and then you can give a value appraisal. The Wiha special bag is cool. If I an electrician were starting from scratch and people still did hot work that back would make more sense but honestly being safe and compliant on jobs these days means virtually no hot work. I have a little Veto MCT and I'm getting a new Veto Tech Pack LT for HVAC controls work. It holds laptop, accessories, cables, and meter in back part and tools in front part. Tired of carrying the laptop in a case and bag in hand and trying to use card reader on doors and put mask on and off. Plus I'll be able to carry stuff while having the bag on my back.

Depends on the trade and person. It's a great reliable pack AND the big bonus is that it doesn't tip over ! Like every pack does ! .
BUT as a refrigeration tech NO WAY, it's way to heavy , just the pack itself weights allot. Ref guys are always on the move, roofs, basements , restaurants, long walks in shopping malls , NO WAY , your back and shoulders will be done . Try maybe Klein or some other brand .
It's to bad it really is a tough reliable pack.

    LOL 😆!!!!!
I almost bought that backpack from a supply house that I frequently go to. It's the Gucci of tool bags LOL.
I have had the Milwaukee now for about 3 years. It ways about 48lb and I like. Maybe in a moment of clarity, with enough barben in me I could justify the cost of Veto LOL !!!!

Just got the red stripe for $375 at city electric supply after 10% first time customer code. That’s like $37 more than the tech pac alone.

I have thousands in Veto bags…. And thousands in milwaukee. Veto makes a far better tool bag. The bags are just incredible. And they listen to their customers and bring new bags out with the requested changes and suggestions.
