Nice setup! Lots of great tips and ideas here. Good tour of the veto bag too. Constructive comment on the step bits... I have that DeWalt one and others. The spiral flute ones are much harder to resharpen. The straight flute ones can be resharpened dozens of times quite easily, effectively lasting longer because of this. Spiral flute does cut faster and clear chips better, but they also can pull into thin wall material like a conventional twist drill bit, which can be a significant downside.

Two things, 1) that things weighs a ton. I thinks it’s super cool you have maximized your space in such a creative way. I do think the life of the bag and your back are going to be cut pretty short however due to the stress. 2) I actually have found a way to effectively turn this into a backpack. Underneath the two meter bags on either side is a location where you can place a stainless steel eyelit. Place a nut on this with a washer. Now just place aftermarket backpack straps. This should help out your back way more.
I am working on a smaller bag load out. I think at the end of the day, it’s how many tool run trips do you want to make vs bag weight. Neither is ideal. Thanks for commenting!

Nice packout! I appreciate you doing this, I did pick up some good ideas for tool choices. Maybe add some 3:1 oil and steel wool for tool cleanup? I don’t think you’re overloaded at all-I think my bag weighs around 50lbs but that saves me from walking across the plant and back to the crib for parts (most of the time) or tools. Right on, thank you! That’s the thing with tool organization, there are lots of ways to approach it. It’s really comes down to the process/workflow and it’s never perfect. 👍
I was pumped when those Milwaukee 7-1 pliers came out bc I love the Klein hybrid linesman strippers with the grey handle so I gave these milwaukees a shot and bc they can strip #10 solid I figured they would cut it Np right? WRONG! First attempt it bent the blade so bad it looks like I cut a live circuit and they have a hole right in the middle?!? Milwaukee doesn’t warranty hand tools so they’re in the garbage pile with the rest of my Milwaukee hand tools which have been switched out, years ago, to Knipex pliers and Wera drivers. Nothing cuts, grips and feels like knipex and they’re just as costly as Klein and similar.
Great bag, very similar to mine. I use the open top mc-ot and I have it completely packed but because the bag is not to big it’s still a reasonable weight.
It’s hilarious how all the gate keepers always say “these tools look like they never come out the bag”. I didn’t know it was a right of passage to have beaten up/greasy looking tools. My policy is to not be concerned about what others choose to do especially when it doesn’t affect me or the rest of humanity in any way.
It never fails, there's always one lol. I wasn’t going to make a video talking about what I planned to do, I put in some new tools right before the video. It represents improvements not what I used 20 years ago when information about tools was limited. Even the bag is new. Who wants to see my collapsing 60lbs CLC bag? And if your going to produce a video, it makes sense to have a clear presentation. Thanks for commenting!
Veto worth dropping the coin on? Inside wireman apprentice who just got on an industrial service crew. Our truck service bed doesn’t fit my Klein tradesman backpack very well in the bins. Looking to downsize and streamline. Well wishes from IBEW LU 520
You have a nice load out, im sure it weights alot. I have a couple veto products and love the quality. So what I have done is purchased the rolling tool bag from harbor freight and put my veto bags in that, it saves on the shoulder.
It’s about 30lbs, I use the shoulder strap. Definitely times to have something smaller, I’m thinking of setting up a tool pouch, I have a couple I got for free under VETO promotions.
You carry a phone, with a flashlight? 2 flashlights and the Klien area light? Light on your drill? I think you may be over back- upping things. What about multiple other tools? Weight is a consideration also. Cheers 👍
iPhone doesn’t mount on my hat or anywhere. It's the Two is One, One is none concept. I will probably remove the Rofis flashlight, I was still trying out the Olight when I made the video. Thanks for watching!
I’ve found they rust a lot less in an enclosed tool bag. If they are stored out of the bag in a non conditioned space, corrosion is a problem. Thanks for watching!
@@projectpinehills Thanks for the info. Struggling to find UK supplier and overseas shipping +50% of cost then remembered I had a mobile phone car vent holder ( clip fitting) with swivel magnet on the end which I can clip onto my bag/strap. :-)
In my rush to get our newest tech setup asap I mindlessly used your Amazon links to quickly order everything but ended up with 1/4" Makita sockets rather than 3/8 to go with the ratchet & extension. My fault for not reading the product description but frustrating none the less. Maybe fix that link for the next guy. Other than that everything was great. This bag is unreal! 😎
@@projectpinehillsThe jab saw link is wrong as well. The Klein is way too heavy & I'm not even sure it takes standard sawzall blades. All that said, it's all the links you provided that really set you apart from everyone else. Nice work!
@billmartin3198 I linked to Klein because the Milwaukee wasn't on Amazon at the time of making the video but it appears to be now. I've updated the link to Milwaukee, thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching!
You have a wide assortment of tools and was going to ask what type of work you did and then noticed you had a piece of Romex in the bag so I’m assuming you’re an Electrician. Are you a maintenance Electrician/Mechanic?
I do all kinds of work, but mostly electrical and maintenance. This loadout is for all around work meaning it’s not for a routine take you do several times a day. Thanks for the question and thanks for watching! 👍
Save your back and load-out a few different 'Task Specific" bags rather than drag 30lbs of tools to a task that only requires two or three of them. I try to keep my Veto TP4B under 15lbs...or closer to 10 without the impact. I used to lug-around a fully-loaded MC and MCT bag - and THEN the backpack ALL of those things are like 30lbs. Now I run the TP4B and keep my OT-XXL on the van with the things I don't use daily or doubles of 'must-have' tools. I utilize the CP4 and CP5 pouches for things like a dual-port manometer with all the wrenches and drivers I need to check gas pressure - for example. I like to make these kits for other tasks that I may only do once a week or once per months (or season tools) to keep the weight out of my main service bag - it's all trial and error - been perfecting my load-out for HVAC Service for almost 8yrs now.
Thanks for your feedback. I have a TP3B I’m building out and considering a TP-LC to have something lite. I’ve had a lot of luck with a tool pouch I put together for small jobs. Thanks for watching! 👍
I couldn’t imagine this tool bag being practical for everyday/ in and out of truck use. First off,,it has to be extremely heavy. I wonder how many flights of stairs you could get up without sitting down to take a break😂. Second, there’s way too much to keep track of. Lastly, many items are redundant and can be removed. For example, the battery post cleaner, wire brush, toothbrush, sandpaper could be replaced with one scotchbrite pad that’s cut into small pieces.
How many trips do you want to make up and down those stairs? I have lighter bag loadouts on the channel. Not sure scotchbrite pads replace a wire brush. That doesn’t sound practical. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching!
@@projectpinehills I hear ya, but do you use that bag on a daily basis? I sometimes make multiple stops per day (and I am pushing 50) so that’s why I cringe. The wire brush is light so that’s not a big deal, but the mechanics tools are weight killers. I carry a Veto XLT and I wish I could carry smaller. Everything else is subcategorized into pack out cases or systainers depending what job is on deck. Rough in work is in the pack outs, trim out work is in systainers. So I’ll grab my Veto bag and whatever kit I need. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy your reviews and don’t mean to sound overly critical.
42:20 I live in a 240V country and I can imagine things getting dangerous if one decides to pull 3000W out of a fixture that is made to handle a light bulb, maybe even just an led/energy saving bulb these days
you seem to be a proponent of klein. maybe you don't know about this one - but you can eliminate most of those right angle screwdrivers with it, and replace them with a klein ratcheting screwdriver (65200). it's like a service wrench, kinda, but just accepts standard 1/4" screwdriver bits like you already have clipped on one of those D-rings anyway. check it out, maybe you'll like it. they're convenient and would help to lighten your back marginally by removing those right angle drivers
I’ve had bags like this and after a few years I realize they are not efficient for a tech. I roll with the MCT and when I need the full arsenal I’ll roll the packout with everything else
Try hauling that thing around for an 8hr shift 😅 great tools and neat setup.. lot of things could be ditched to give your self a more feasible setup. Lets be serious carrying that thing must be painful. You could do all the same jobs with a quarter of the tools. Just saying. Very clean and pretty tho.
It’s a loadout… it’s not the only loudout. Thats the point. You have to figure out what suits you. I have lighter loadouts. Ideally, I’d say it’s good to have a light bag and a bigger catch all bag that you can pull tools from. Thanks for watching!

I really like the Milwaukee Inkzall pens vs Sharpie.
All mine dried out. Maybe they sat in the store too long. Thanks for watching! 👍
I'm industrial too. I really like this for working at heights - less worried about stuff falling out.
Wait for the promotions ,you’ll get extra bags or a pouch tp4, that’s all the streamline you need till you get your own truck
I thought my bag was loaded. This is amazing.
Maybe too loaded! Thanks for watching!
I am a union Electrician (IBEW) and I have almost the EXACT same tools lol, except for the bag I use the Veto Propac backpack!
Your setup is amazing!
Thanks for posting. I did a lot if updates after 2017. That backpack is a good way to go. Thanks for watching! 👍
I love my mct blackout and 5 gallon bucket but that bag is fire😂
Thanks for watching!
You have a nice load out, im sure it weights alot. I have a couple veto products and love the quality. So what I have done is purchased the rolling tool bag from harbor freight and put my veto bags in that, it saves on the shoulder.
I’ll check it out. Thanks for watching!
That’s one awesome setup sir.. keep the great videos rollin 👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
Great to see all the different tool ideas! How do you keep your tools so clean?
Thanks for watching!
Nice loadout! I didn't catch what job you do. Maintenance?
Yes, Maintenance
Amazing tools and toolbag only i need to know how heavy is to the e every day carry
It’s about 30lbs, I use the shoulder strap. Definitely times to have something smaller, I’m thinking of setting up a tool pouch, I have a couple I got for free under VETO promotions.
I was waiting for you to bring out the kitchen sink, looks like you're carrying everything
It’s a never ending question… how many pounds to carry. I’m putting together a light weight Veto TP bag. Thanks for watching!
@@projectpinehills wish you all the best, I'm a locksmith and I've gone through so many tool bags, but this one looks like just what I need.
It’s a great bag, just putting a really small option together for smaller jobs.
Great setup love all your tool picks.
Nice setup. How do you keep your tools so clean of rust? I live in a high humidity climate it's a constant fight for me.
I’ve found they rust a lot less in an enclosed tool bag. If they are stored out of the bag in a non conditioned space, corrosion is a problem. Thanks for watching!
Love the setup. I have watched this maybe 10 times all the way through. What boot is on your impact driver?
The M12 impact boot, but the impact is an m12 surge. Thanks for watching!
Great vid given me some space saving examples for my DIY
Vito TP-LC. What did you make the screw key chain magnet out of ?
The SNAP-ON magnet 🧲?
@@projectpinehills Thanks for the info. Struggling to find UK supplier and overseas shipping +50% of cost then remembered I had a mobile phone car vent holder ( clip fitting) with swivel magnet on the end which I can clip onto my bag/strap. :-)
Sorry to hear that
That hammer looks brand new, never been used is that case? I'm jealous my estwing hammers are all blackish patina after decades of heavy use.
Many of the tools are new as is the bag. Thanks for watching!
Great setup, thanks for sharing gave me some good ideas on my setup
um i cant recall if you had eye protection in there or not, for when using that 3/8 extension in your impact. Otherwise great loadout!
husky has a nice set of impact extensions for when that makita wobble isnt enough
I do have safety glasses in there at 01:09 in the video. Thanks for watching!
Husky 6 in. Impact Socket Adapter Set (3-Piece)?
In my rush to get our newest tech setup asap I mindlessly used your Amazon links to quickly order everything but ended up with 1/4" Makita sockets rather than 3/8 to go with the ratchet & extension. My fault for not reading the product description but frustrating none the less. Maybe fix that link for the next guy. Other than that everything was great. This bag is unreal! 😎
I apologize for that, thanks for the feedback. I've updated the Makita 3/8 socket links. 👍 thanks for watching!
I worked for Lowe’s delivery for 5 years, delivering and installing all appliances.. the Irwin is so much nicer than the Klein.
Link for the Husky storage container? Didn't see it in the description.
Can find it on online, but this is a good one: amzn.to/41pe0HW
Appreciate listing all the tools/links in the order you showed them. Haven't made it to the end yet, but what is the total weight of that load out?
Today, it’s 40lbs. On the heavy side. It was at 30lbs at first. Thanks for watching!
That’s a thing of beauty
Thanks for watching!
Amazing video, going to need to build out a carry kit as well now. What trade are you in or is this just your around the house bag?
Property Maintenance. Thanks for commenting!
Great video, I take it you’ve taken the small V swap panel out?
I still have the panel in. Thanks for watching!
You use any of them tools? How they all look so clean?
Because they get cleaned 🧼 that is why. Thanks for watching lol
Thank you, awesome set up!
Thanks and thanks for watching!
Amazing tool setup
Thanks for watching!
How heavy is this bag with everything in it?
about 40lbs today. I've taken to using the shoulder strap.
Nice setup, very well thought out. Do you actually use any of those tools though, they are awfully clean.......:)
Thx! The entire bag has been updated.
Love to have one of that veto bag
Yeah they are a great set up. Thanks for watching!
Awesome video overall sir! Very informative!
Enjoyed this. Made me consider ditching the tool box for a bag. Any other good bag recommendations?
Yes I like the new Tech-MCT
@@projectpinehills Thanks.
Great setup! How much for all that excellent gear 🙂
Too much! Thanks for watching! 👍
42:20 I live in a 240V country and I can imagine things getting dangerous if one decides to pull 3000W out of a fixture that is made to handle a light bulb, maybe even just an led/energy saving bulb these days
Yeah that light 💡 socket adapter supports the Klein test equipment that is designed for receptacles. Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍
Damn good set up. Love it. Dropping in to support a fellow tradesman
Thanks for watching. Working on a tool pouch setup to have a lightweight option.
nice setup, what do you do for a living?
Maintenance, thanks for watching!
you seem to be a proponent of klein. maybe you don't know about this one - but you can eliminate most of those right angle screwdrivers with it, and replace them with a klein ratcheting screwdriver (65200). it's like a service wrench, kinda, but just accepts standard 1/4" screwdriver bits like you already have clipped on one of those D-rings anyway.
check it out, maybe you'll like it. they're convenient and would help to lighten your back marginally by removing those right angle drivers
I did remove the right angle drivers with 1” hex bits and a mini ratchet just recently. Thanks, I’ll check out the Klein.
Do you have a pipe cutter in this tool bag video??
Yes, it's here: th-cam.com/video/5TVhm984k_Y/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for the fast reply
No problem!
Twingrips grip the best of all pliers ever.
I agree, I'm going to talk about those in a video!
Thank you for making the video.
Hope it was helpful!
I think this 12" extension from Irwin is not suitable for impact. The bit locking mechanism is good, but not for impact.
I have a DeWalt and Milwaukee 12” extension that I use now. I use them more for drilling anyhow. Thanks for posting! 👍
I’ve had bags like this and after a few years I realize they are not efficient for a tech. I roll with the MCT and when I need the full arsenal I’ll roll the packout with everything else
Another lighter option is nice. 👍 Thanks for watching!
Right angle pick!
If it’s not in there, it should be. Thanks for watching!
Where is the red bit holder from?
Outside the bag is pulled out of Milwaukee bit set case. Inside is harbor freight. Thx for watching!
How much does it weigh
30 lbs. It's in the video description. Thx!
Can I buy it and if so how to get ? Will you pl advise tks
You mean the tool bag? Product link is in the description: Veto Pro Pac TP-XXL: amzn.to/3Cl3YLR
Can I get an updated video of this
That’s a good idea though not a lot has changed. I put that on the list! Thanks for watching!
