Domestic / residential electrician - Initially I wanted the MC version as I was worried about overloading and weight. But I walked out the store with the MC to the car, checked my current open top tool carrier and in 5 seconds immediately knew it would not fit even half the tools I had with me. Returned it immediately, got the pro blackout, stacked all my tools in and even manage to fit a small Makita impact gun as well as 2 small screw cases in the front clipped pouch. Its packed pretty / very tight and I thought I would be worried about carrying it on the back but its actually fine, even walking down scaffold stairs and what not. It's a world of difference from my other bag and I can tell I well and truly have no regrets buying it. Be warned you will only fit the basics in the MC. The weight on the bigger one is less of an impact due to the straps structural connection to the handle.
Ive had the opposite ones, tech pac MC Blackout and regular tech pac. For me the MC came close to the same amount of tools but lighter and smaller. Weirdly i found the front pocket on the MC larger than the tech pac. The hook on the bag was missed on the MC version for me though, loved using it when i needed it.
Great overview!👍 I have the Tech-LC and I love it. I am not a professional technician, but I appreciate quality and well thought out designs for tool access and storage.
I’m thinking about the TechPack MC . ATM , I’m using a TP6B , And a TPXXL ! They make good stuff ; that said at age 73 , I prefer , and gravitate towards the smaller models !
I definitely wouldn’t go with the techpac at 73. The MC is more manageable. Personally I carry a tp3 or my tplc daily. Way I figure walking back to the truck is good cardio anyway. lol.
I have a veto pro pac and its tough as nails (4 years so far) but HEAVY (10 pounds empty) and i really want something with clamshells for meters and PPE - i was looking at the fluke pack30 but the reviews (even on the fluke site!) all say that it falls apart quickly. Looking at the fieldpiece BG44 but it seems like it might be a lil small, idk maybe i need to minimize my tool load! Also NOTHING carrys zip ties or sockets very well - my current solution is canvas zip bags. It's okay, not ideal. Great bag I'm just looking for something better that can store extra sets of leads, clips, etc without having them come close to hand tools or be in a zippered pocket thats a huge mess! I wish the pack30 was tougher because it looks ideal!
Is there room, with the majority of tools needed for hvac, to have a drill and impact driver to store inside to carry? Also what is the approximate weight with tools inside?
how do the backpack straps and handles hold up on these bags? i feel like most backpacks use the same straps and stitching methods and and it ends up being the first thing that breaks
I second this! I just outgrew my Tech MCT, not by much but I'm wondering if the Tech Pac MC would give me just enough extra room or if I need to go bigger.
I think Tech Pac MC is more comfortable and lighter. It is even easy to store in the car. Anyway, in your case, I think you carry too many screwdrivers, being able to use bits. Larger bag, used to fill with things that you might "eventually" need. But your back suffers carrying all that.
I got the tech pac in hiviz orange a couple of months ago. The only gripe I have is that it has too much room! lol I’m constantly trying to fill it up then take everything out because it gets too heavy. Even at its heaviest it never tips over. Something my Klein did no matter how light it was. Don’t regret spending the money!
I'm a plumber, and currently have the Klein backpack. I really like way my tools fit I'm it, but I would like something larger as I'm always walking back to the truck for things. I'm wondering if I need to go right for the bigger bag and I don't necessarily need to fill it or will the smaller MC bag be better? The floppy Klein is super annoying but I do love a backpack tool bag
You can't use these for site work or leave them for more than a fraction of a second! Everyone know's how much they cost, they have an added feature of growing legs and walking off!
@@americanelectrician got the one with the straps on,,totally waste of time as it has wheels so why carry it,,I removed theses and gained the additional pocket that you had to tuck the straps in yes warranty is void but I’ve never had issue with any veto bag in nearly ten years of owning them, I’ve got the tech xl bag yes expensive but with the swap out panels and build quality def worth the money,,it has the ability to also consume tools and does weigh a far bit once loaded as I tend to put all tools in that covers me for any task plus keeps it all safely stored.
The top row on the front of the mc is practically useless. If you ever pay attention to anybody's build-out videos that top row is usually empty. This is because you can't fit any regular size screwdrivers. The only ones you can fit are wiha this may have something to do with their partnership. Very disappointed in this purchase now have to do the runaround to return it and order an LT which will fit normal screwdrivers in the screwdriver holders. Good concept very poor design

Been waiting for someone to compare thanks man!
Glad I could help!

The adjustable front pouch is the biggest thing for me on the outside. The hook as well. They are both great options tho love the bags

I solute your desire for quality tools. The one you do one thing is the way you do everything

A smaller pack is much nicer sometimes. Unless you have to go back out to the van to grab something lol

Awesome video. Will the backs hold longer bits (18 inch)?

You say “you guys” more than Eric Cartman 🤣
😄
I'd like to sknow what you think about the new Knipex backpack x18, is the it as heavy duty as the veto?
Is any of the hardware on the straps plastic or is it all metal?
how do the backpack straps and handles hold up on these bags? i feel like most backpacks use the same straps and stitching methods and and it ends up being the first thing that breaks
They’re great. They all connect to the middle so the weights not on the zippers
Did you notice that the original tech pac has stiffer handle when moved than the tech pac mc?
I’m a fire alarm tech. My favorite is the TPXXL because it has the two multimeter pockets, one for my big ass fluke and one for my labeler.
Fire alarm is a different breed. The TPXXL is great
Can you compare the tech-MCT & tech pac MC ?
Absolutely
I second this! I just outgrew my Tech MCT, not by much but I'm wondering if the Tech Pac MC would give me just enough extra room or if I need to go bigger.
@@darrencampbell8817I’m wondering the same, I worried that I may not have enough room in the Tech Pac MC vs the Tech MCT
I was just looking for a comparison video of the two classic veto bags! Thanks!
Welcome!
Just finished the video! Definitely will pick up the bigger of the two! Thanks!
You won’t regret it. I love my tech pac

It’s so worth the money. I know I do the same thing. I put way too much and then take stuff out but I love the way it looks full lol

Love to have one but it's so expensive here in the Philippines😢
What tough built tools you got in does bag
I can’t make up my mind on both of these 😢. Bigger or smaller more compact ????
same boat here🤦♂️
Eanie meanie minie Mo
Water bottle pockets would be dope, maybe some molle too
Water bottles go in the front
I wish all these types of product compare videos immediately compared the price of each product. That way I can close the video much earlier.
If that’s the case why not just go to the website?? Lmao
Have you heard of google? It’ll change your world
Why would price put you off? Anyone looking at this type of bag shouldn’t care about price
Can we get in the MC m12 drills
Most likely, yes.
Nice bag & nice vid ... Thx
Thank you!

Hahahaha I hear you there
If you’re a small guy like me get the tech pac mc lol, it gets heavy too !
It really does get heavy too. Definitely not nearly as heavy tho😂
Biggest problem is the zippers. They earn you to maintain or they will fail, and they definitely fail eventually.
Have you had any fail?
Five year warranty
کاشکی یدونه کیف ابزار داشتم. خیلی حرفه ای. تو ایران از این کوله پشتیا نیست. و خیلی گرونه❤😢

Proper dodgy & Joseph are two things I’ve gotta look up now 😂

I haven’t tried the wheeler yet! How is it??
