Chris Stuckmann reviews GoldenEye, starring Pierce Brosnan, Sean Bean, Izabella Scorupco, Famke Janssen, Judi Dench. Directed by Martin Campbell.
People don't give Martin Campbell nearly enough credit. He single-handedly saved the Bond franchise twice.
So props to Chris for giving him a shoutout.
+coolwhipspecial I didnt know he did Casino Royale..no wonder Goldeneye and CR are my two top fav bond films!
+coolwhipspecial I didnt know he did Casino Royale..no wonder Goldeneye and CR are my two top fav bond films!
+coolwhipspecial I think "single-handedly" is a bit much. Certainly in the case of CR I think the writing lent a lot to the success. Something I think people failed to notice in Quantum of Solace as well- a film I quite like. I'm not knocking Campbell's skills, I just think a well written film deserves some credit.
Yet, somehow, Martin Campbell was the same director who also brought us the best superhero film of all-time: Green Lantern.
+SupplySide Jesus out of his element probably. if you don't have someone with a love for the content it doesn't matter if they are the best director in the world that movie is gonna blow.
Absolutely he's the best Bond director. They should have pushed to get him back the same way they did for Mendes.
#StarWarsJacketSpeculation
Who else read his comment in Mr. Sunday's voice?
+Gboi116 yeah me too.
The Watcher each to their own but Goldeneye is a classic bond film and for me at least superior to casino purely for the reason that I have seen Goldeneye so many times and it's still brilliant. I watched it and all the Craig bonds in prep for Spectre and Royale really falls apart after Le Chiffe dies. The 3rd act is just a bit anti climatic. If didn't like Goldeneye I reckon you won't like Spectre as they are both films that don't break any new ground with the bond template but rather are typical bond films that are immensely enjoyable
The problem with me is I grew up with brosnan so I can be biased but for me he's a great bond and a great one for the 90s. He may certainly borrow from the previous actors but this was his first film and I think it's fair to say by his second he was very much his own bond. I always think he was like a tougher version of Moore and minus die another day had a very good run as bond.
Who else came here after watching Chris's review of Die Another Day in 2020?
No; for the Queen, 006!
word!!
Younger Stuckman, different location, feels weird man.
Nice to know that, even in the 90s, Sean Bean was dying, though. Really is that rock in the rough waters we call life.
Stupid Google like a young Adam Scott
Die Another Day > Goldeneye
Let's give Sean Bean some props too for being one of the most humanized, non cat stroking villian the Bond series ever had!
For real
Truly terrifying! Reminded me of Claude Frollo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
He and davi were top
For a moment I thought Chris was going to tell us he sang the Goldeneye theme song in front of his whole school.
"For England James?.........No for me"
Brosnan and Bean were great in their roles for this film, I cannot say the same for the rest of the cast.
To be honest, I don't like that scene. Why does Bond become so sadistic that he catches Trevelyan before falling the first time -- only to, then, gleefully drop him to his death? Trevelyan was once Bond's friend. Therefore, I would think Bond would have been more regretful about having to kill him. That ending could've used so much more depth.
@@adamzanzie the guy had tried to kill him multiple times at that point.
@@peoples2296 If you've never thought about killing. You've never been in love. =D
Gavin48 oof! Great movie, epic video game
most critics if not all say that Goldeneye was the best of the Brosnan Bonds.
That's because it is.
+GDXgames - geometry dash I agree Goldeneye is the best Brosnan film, but I enjoyed Tomorrow Never Dies and The World Is Not Enough too
I also loved Tommorow Never Dies
Living Daylights was the best
Had the most character for Bond without any of the cheese
gorrilaunit99 Brosnan is not in the Living Daylights
Timothy Dalton was ahead of his time.
Yeah I like Living Daylights. I guess he didn't swagger enough for some people but I thought he was great.
He certainly was.
Goldeneye64 is hands down THE best Movie-Video game adaptation Ever!!
Help me get 3000 subscribers. When I do I'll do black face Lashana Lynch impersonation while wearing tampons as earings😂😂😂😂🍸
Spider-Man 2 as well
I played the game for months before seeing the film and it kinda blew my mind
John M nah nightfire is hands down the best bond game ever made
Always frustrates me that noone remembers 007 Everything Or Nothing...
I like Pierce Brosnan. He's one of my favorite Bonds. I think the movies after GoldenEye wasn't the problem of him, but the writers.
Tomorrow Never Dies is a good movie
You tossed off Sean Bean? That means something else in England. ;) Love your channel, dude.
I actually think he said it on purpose as there was a little chuckle

He falls off, beheaded, stepped on sheep, struck by arrows, and then he died!
This will always be my favorite Bond movie. It has everything that defines Bond as a character. An elegant gentleman but a deadly assassin at a same time, that wears a suit just as good as driving a tank and shooting an ak47. Great villain, great Bond girl, great plot without too much goofy stuff, and for my opinion - best Bond opening theme of all time by Tina Turner.
Thanks for playing the N64 music over the clips
This was my first Bond Movie, so it will always have a special place in my heart
GoldenEye64! Such memories... much nostalgia!
I knoww! Will always be a favourite.
Chris, you are literally one of my role models in life. I am so happy I came across your channel. Keep on kicking ass!
You should review Back to the Future
Yesss that's what I was expecting!
I'm sure he will eventually :)
+RunRobotRun911 yes the whole trilogy
As a reviewer dedicated to James Bond, reviewing all things bond as well as news for spectre, this is by far my favorite bond film. If you want to see some great James Bond reviews from a true bond fan be sure to check me out.
+Quinn C It seems that Chris tends to lean for the serious Bond films, as opposed to the campier ones.
When you watched Chris upload Die Another Day and you're looking at baby boy Chris our pride and joy
The best first person game ever! Nights and more nights in front of my nintendo 64!
+Luiz Corsi | Ler ou não ler? Perfect Dark was a bloody good game as well!
+Luiz Corsi | Ler ou não ler? Have you played it recently? If not go back and play it (Don't emulate either), and tell me it's still the "best"
007 nightfire
Pepsiman the visual is shit, but the concept, like landmines, are awesome. I've never got so excited playing anything, as i was playing goldeneye...
Luiz Corsi | Ler ou não ler? I'm not talking about the visuals. I'm talking about gameplay. They way they move, the way guns work, your health, ect. Though Goldeneye on the gamecube is phenomenal.
Goldeneye was Brosnan's best outing. That being said, I can't say I hate his three others, but they were considerably weaker. The main problem is they would start out strong, and go the direction of a Rambo film. The biggest sinner on that list is Tomorrow Never Dies. I don't think The World is Not Enough gets enough credit though. However another case of a Bond film starting out interesting, and then completely jumping the shark was another Brosnan Bond film, Die Another Day. I love how that one began, with Bond getting captured by a foreign military, tortured, then escapes, going rogue, and operating without Q Branch, then it goes tits up, with a Face/Off style clinic, okay fine, I'll suspend some disbelief. I was done with it when the invisible car came onto the scene. I sat for the duration of that picture in what a potential girlfriend of mine calls "Resting Bitch Face". I was fine with having no more Bond films, if that was what we were getting. Then Casino Royale debuted and I was in love with the Bond films again. Great review, Chris. Always entertaining.
+Brian Paul Ah, I'm not the only one who loves the idea of the first act of Die Another Day. They fucked it so hard as soon as he goes to Cuba.
+Brian Paul Yeah, that first act of Die Another Day is so engaging (could do without the surfing and the CGI though); the fencing/sword fighting scene was also a keeper.
It really was, I mean I know Bond going rogue had been done in Licence To Kill, but this was just as interesting. The fencing scene was great too, because, we'd never seen Bond sword fight before. So much potential in Die Another Day, just got thrown out. Let's not forget the space based magnifying glass either. If they really had to go the route of space based weapon (again) maybe tungsten kinetic rods like in G.I. Joe: Retaliation would have been a better and more sinister route. Not that I'm trying to praise G.I. Joe: Retaliation, but it would have been a far better note for Brosnan to leave on. Just an opinion, to float around.
+Generic Name I honestly thought they fucked hard once they got to the stupid Ice Palace. The Cuba stuff was good and the fencing stuff in London was also cool.
irish91ify Oh yes, I almost forgot completely about the ice palace. All of the vodka martinis in the world, could never will never make that go away. It's almost as if they built that whole set, just to have a damned car chase/duel in. The main henchman of the villain looked like a rejected Star Wars Prequel era villain. So many things after the invisible car, and ice palace to pick apart. It's like they made half of a good Bond film, and than took some ideas from Batman and Robin. I should pick apart the end credits for any evidence that Joel Schumacher was on set at any point.
The World is Not Enough gets swept under the rug every time.
It's one of my favorites, but I'm biased because it's the one I watched the most as a kid.
Pierce Brosnan will always be my favorite 007. GoldenEye and The World Is Not Enough are great movies, and Tomorrow Never Dies was a good movie. Die Another Day started good but was terrible after Bond got out of Korea.
No one ever seems to mention Tomorrow. It's my second fav Brosnan Bond movie after all time favorite Bond movie Goldeneye. Everyone says "All Brosnan's other Bond movies sucked" but they sometimes mention World is Not Enough as the exception with never any mention of Tomorrow.
Tomorrow's GREAT!! Jonathan Pryce is one of my favorite Bond villains. His portrayal of Elliot Carver is more than a match for Bardem's Silva. The henchmen are spectacularly effective. It's got some neat concepts like the drill torpedo .... and that remote controlled chase scene in the parking garage! I could write a whole other post on why that scene's awesome.
About the only criticism I have of TND is its criminal misuse of Terri Hatcher. I mean this woman was born to be a Bond girl but her part in the movie is just wasted on her.
Roger roger I agree. the world is not enough was up there with goldeneye although I wasn't a fan of Denise Richards. tomorrow never dies was okay. Maybe because valentine zuchosky wasn't in it :p die another day is not even worth mentioning, I wish they never made it
The game music had me in stitches 😂😂😂 bravo Chris 👏
Thomas Harding Music 8:16 is the Best Music in the Game. Lol.
The soundtrack - it's true that the opening car chase has a goofy track playing. But the rest of the movie has really intense music. The facility music is cold and cool and works well, and the archive shootout/cradle chase at the end is my favorite piece of action music from the franchise. And I really love how the classic Bond theme is used so sparingly during moments that allow some sense of humor. Because the Bond theme IS kinda goofy - only use it for scenes that allow for a little humor. The tank chase suits that perfectly.
Great soundtrack.
I love how they have kept Judy Dench as M even after the change of Bonds
A Bond girl in "Goldeneye" is polish actress Izabella Scorupco, in 1996 she get married with polish NHL player Mariusz Czerkawski.
I thought that Tommorow Never Dies and The World is Not Enough were great however Die Another Day wasn't good at all.
Sebastian Fitzpatrick I agree.
Help me get 3000 subscribers. When I do I'll do black face Lashana Lynch impersonation while wearing tampons as earings😂😂😂😂🍸
Black Ninja hell no die another day is garbage because there’s is a invisible Aston Martin part which sucks
Die Another Day is the best one!!
“You are like boys with toys!”
Yeah goldeneye is hands down the most nostalgic brosnan era bond film ever
I love James Bond films.
I love Chris Stuckmann reviews.
My life is finally complete.
I also liked 'The World Is Not Enough' just as much as this movie.
Marblez3 i dig all 4, but this one is god tier
Goldeneye and Casino Royale - my two top Bond films. Also am guilty of many, many hours indulging in Goldeneye 64. :P
You should do a hillariocity of one of the terrible bond movies like "moonraker" or "die another day"
And would you PLEASE do a "Black Swan" review??? It'd be so awesome if you did! :)
Dave Robinson moonraker is not bad. a view to a kill is tho
David Robinson Moonraker is one of my favourites but I completely understand the hate it gets
@@dynamo1675 both were bad sorry
dynamo Moonraker is awful . The weakest Moore film in my opinion ! And even one of the weakest of the series , if not the weakest .
What a breath of fresh air...Chris back when he still had his fire for movies/reviewing on full blast.
The Goldeneye N64 soundtrack is my favorite game soundtrack of all time. Grant Kirkhope and the guys at Rare are geniuses
I've said this before, and I'll say it again. These older movie reviews are what makes Chris Stuckmann a unique youtube channel. Love them!
Please review The Man With The Golden Gun. My favorite James Bond film.
Every time I watch one of your movie reviews, it makes want to re watch the movie and look at the stuff you talked about. Keep up the good reviews.
Golden Eye is the only good Bond movie with Brosnan.
+Buddy Groove Too bad. He was the best Bond, in my opinion.
+Hey Joe heeeellll nooo
+Buddy Groove I liked Tomorrow Never Dies, but I would tend to agree.
+Buddy Groove No.
I like tomorrow never dies...
Loved this review... and love it when you review a wider range of films... not just current ones :) keep up the good work!
Bond adjusting his tie in the speedboat chase scene of "The World is not Enough" is my favourite! It captures the moment so perfectly just like the one in Goldeneye.
GoldenEye was the best James Bond movie. The ending with the Run, Shoot, Jump soundtrack is epic.
LOL, it’s an average, middle of the road Bond film at best. From Russia With Love is the greatest one.
@spaceace4387 That one was good too, but I'm a 90s baby! 😄
@@MatrixMedal2 Oh. In terms of Goldeneye I ranked it 15th. Brosnan and Bean were great but the rest of the cast just got on my nerves.
WHERE IS BTTF? IVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU TO DO A BTTF REVIEW SO LONG!!! THOUGHT IT WS GOING TO BE TODAY...
*YES!* This movie was fucking awesome, none of my mates understand haha, thanks man ♥
It's got a really good DVD commentary from Martin Campbell btw, check it out!!
Bro james bond and autism cat collab
No this movie is cheesy garbage but it’s decent fun
Sean Bean was awesome in this movie. And kudos to you for recognizing his role in Patriot Games. A favorite movie for me.
6:35 there are statue parks across the old Soviet Union that contain the crumbled remains of statues of the old Soviet leaders. The closest analog to the movie is the Fallen Monument Park, but the model I think they used was based on one in Budapest.
For them to meet there is heavily symbolic of the post Soviet world, guys like Bond trying to find his place after the Cold War (see also: M's monologue), and people like 006, whose parents were Cossack outcasts, and the second and third level effects of the Cold War on the modern (1995) day.
I wish Martin Campbell would consider returning for to direct an new Bond film after Craig leaves.
Alpha Jay 3.0 Preach!
Natalya is one of the sweetest Bond girls in the series.
I had WAY too much fun watching this review, specially on the parts where you put the soundtrack of the game over the movie scenes.
I still remember when I first saw this movie and came to my dad saying: "Dad! They made a movie of that game we play!" Oh the innocence of a child, those were great times.
I AM INVINCIBLE!!!

I saw GoldenEye in the movie theatre when I was 12yro. I love Bond since I was 5, 6yro, my introduction was Roger Moore. But when I saw Timothy Dalton in the Living Day Lights I understood who Bond really is and then I read the books and wow... Dalton and Craig capture the essence of Bond perfectly.
Teresa Luz same I grew up with sean Connery and Pierce brosnan and I used to watch the films back in 08 when they commemorated with quantum of solace
wow....the Scientist girl was most beautiful bond girl ever
U mean Christmas Jones.
Goldeneye was the first Bond film I was the right age to see at the cinema, so it has special place among them for me, especially with the game thrown into the mix. It's still one of my favourite Bond movies.
Hm. I don't agree on the M-thing. The previous M's were not worse. Eric Serra did better than most people say. I can mention loads of nice motifs in this movie.
The beach-scene was great, what are you talking about....? And Serras' music works very well for the scene.
Don't you think Michael Apted did pretty well?

Those scenes with the N64 game music added on top brought back a lot of great memories. LOL'd at the cradle scene in particular.
Fantastic movie, and a really addictive game with a lot of replay value.
Thanks Chris
I just found out that Martin Campbell directed Green Lantern ... How the hell did he go from Goldeneye and Casino Royale to that?!
@RollandB Yeah but, even with that, I actually have grown to like parts of the Last Jedi! Some of those brave choices!
So happy that you reviewed this!!!
This is in the top 3 Bond films.
For sure
I couldn't stand Brosnan as Bond, but you making me wanna go and rewatch this movie.
Why not?
THAT T-SHIRT. FRICKIN' AWESOME.
Great review too! XD lol
I so agree. I. WANT. THAT. SHIRT.
Alec Trevelyan is the best Bond villian. Not only is he perfect match for James, but he's also the first villain you can actually feel some sympathy for. For years, he was working for the country that had responsibility for his parents' deaths.
Loved the callbacks to the game with the game sound track AMAZING!
I literally thrust my fist in the air like Bender from Breakfast Club when Chris said, "It's the same director of photography as Casino Royale, which also is a gorgeous looking movie; that I might be talking about soon."
ABOUT TIME, CHRIS.
“M” in the original Connery Bonds was a great character, the way he and Connery played off of each other was hilarious. No doubt Dench ended up taking the character further, but when comparing Goldeneye M to the Connery one I’d take the Connery one.
Wow. I'd forgotten how great the cradle music was in Goldeneye 64. One of the best multiplayers of ALL TIME!
Well not all Roger Moore's Bond movie are terrible. "The Spy Who Loved Me" (my personal fav) and "For You Eyes Only" are probably his best ones.
Definitely!👍🏽

Some were sillier than other but them being more light-heared doesn't necessarily make them bad.
Big fan of these classic reviews Chris, keep it up
Dude that room where you were talking to Sean Bean straight up looks like a movie version of police station holding/interrogation room wtf lol.
Total agreement Chris, I love Sam Mendes who is one of my favorite directors but Goldeneye and CR are the best bond films.
Any chance of a review on "Phone Booth". Not Bond related but I'm sure you liked it, fantastic movie 5/5
+EWK good suspense
Agreed. One of my all time favorite movies.
+EWK Phone Booth is awful because of a major plot hole
My video froze as you said "It was really cool to see the guy that I tossed off..." I thought, man, Chris and Sean Bean really hit it off haha keep up the good work Mr Stuckmann.
"Use the bumper!!! That what it's there for!"
The World is Not Enough is severely underrated
2:25 This is what Skyfall and Spectre failed to understand. Bond is not a superhero
Are you sure you saw skyfall man?
@@sevenapollo6882 don't get me wrong it's much better than Spectre and I enjoyed it, but the movie was still the closest to a modern superhero movie Bond had ever gotten to that point.
Chris! I love that you're covering old(er) films, and as a I highly respect your opinion and perspectives, I've been wanting someone to review a film I've enjoyed since I was a kid. That film is Four Rooms. I would love it if you reviewed that film =)
*_Pierce Brosnan is the best Bond for me. Hit me now :)_*
No way. You deserve to be knighted and your opinion is quite accurate!
Sophisticated, suave, killer. Dalton may look like the bond from the novels but when u think of the movie superspy 007, it's brosnan
So glad you did a review of GoldenEye Chris. One of the very best Bond movies.
Coen Brothers review series leading up to Hail Caesar !
Pleeeeeaaaase !!!
I do like these older reviews. I haven't commented about it, but keep it up. Love em!
you need to review from russia with love, on her majesty's secret service, the spy who loved me and maybe the living daylights
Chris, I have only watched your channel for the last week and its the best thing ever. I can't stop! ahhh.
When I bought the whole Bond box sets when they restored the whole series in the early 00s, Golden Eye struck me how much good it looked, and how superior it looked compared to the other Bond flix, just great cinematography. I didn't like the tank scene though cause of how over the top it was. It doesn't fit with the rest of the movie. Speaking of Martin Campbell, I am shocked that after Golden Eye and Casino Royale nobody has hired him to launch a new action franchise.
He also directed the mask of zorro which was a pretty good movie. The guy is a good director.
I've seen so many of your reviews. It's really great stuff. Great channel chris!!
One of my biggest disappointment about Goldeneye was finding out that Severnaya is fictional and fully miniatured 😆
I thought I was the only one that loved "Patriot Games" and "Clear and Present Danger". Salute Mr Stuckman. Love your content mate. Thank you.
Fred Getkate those movie are extremely underrated
Great review... but please include some Connery films!
I laughed harder then I should have when you put the video game music over the Statue scene.
That was comedy gold! XD
i laughed really hard at the MOVIE SCENES with the N64 music
hahahahah that was amazing
One of my favorite scenes was the graveyard scene, because of how authentic and suspensful it was.I love how it completely fleshed out 006's character and showing a quick draw sequence at the end.
Aww, "Spectre next month".
(books tickets for UK Monday screening)
Haha yes same ✋🏼
I'm watching it next week 😂
so star wars a day early, age of Ultron a week earlier. spectre 2 weeks earlier. good time to be this side of the Atlantic.
+8th wonder of the world haha yep :) though sometimes America gets films sometimes months before uk like big hero 6
The Cradle segment gave me chills all these years later
Can you review The Shawshank Redemption please?
To me it really one of those movies that I only watched once .I'm afraid of seeing its flaws when I watch it again truly a masterpiece
He did. He even went to the prison where it was filmed
Nevermind, just realized that that comment is 4 years old. Carry on
Ashley Adonis I must’ve watched it at least once every one-two months since I’ve first found it about 3 years ago. Don’t worry mate, it’s just as amazing the second time
Noel Asplund he’ll review it sometime in the future
I remember playing James Bond Nightfire with my family and friends all the time when we were younger. So the nostalgia when you were talking about that goldeneye game is so recognisable!
I don't understand why people hated Quantum of Solace so much. Don't get me wrong, it's not anywhere near as good as Casino Royale or Skyfall. But I really enjoyed the story. I thought it was a decent film.
Cause it unfairly got compared to Casino Royale. It's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.
Tiger Hoods Me too
I love these type of reviews! Keep up the awesome work!
Best ensemble of baddies to appear in a Bond film. Boris especially.
Despite the fact that it isn't really a thriller, when you mentioned 90's thrillers, it reminded me of the movie Gattaca. One of my all time favorites. Would love to see you review it one of these days.
I love the film and the game. It had a great story, lots of action, entertaining, leaves you wanting to know what happens next and never overstayed its welcome once.
love these series when you review older films :) looking forward for more.
In Casino Royale Bond really did feel like a superhero. The movie took a story where Bond was originally at his most vulnerable for the vast majority of it and made him unfazed by those same events. I mean the guy gets hit in the balls and jokes it off in the movie. He screams his head off in the novel. I get that there are differences between the movie and novel but I really did feel like Casino Royale was the superhero version of Bond and that is the big idea behind the reboot. Umberto Eco has an essay about the superheroization of Bond in the Casino Royale film too.
+Theyungcity23 You missed the point of that scene it seems. Bond uses his quips and one liners to make peace of his mind and deal with awful situations. When he was being tortured, he was trying to make Lechiffre give up by making it seem like he was barely affected, even though you could see he clearly was. He doesn't "joke it off", it's an important part of his character. Much like how he uses sarcasm to hide how much he cares about M in Skyfall. Throughout the rest of the film, he gets fucked up a lot, and it affects the action, like in the parcours scene. When he says "the bitch is dead", that doesn't mean he never loved Vesper either, now did it? It's all about reading between the lines.
+Generic Name To say I didn't get it is a bit insulting. I get that he's playing off a real pain in both the examples you mentioned. But the fact that he's even able to speak in that situation where most men would be out of their minds, on the verge of dying makes him seem superhero like, almost invulnerable. In the book he fears that he will fall in love with The Figure. No such fear is portrayed in the movie. That's what happened in the first novel of the series. That's the character as defined by his creator in his first appearance. To directly do the opposite in that scene where originally the character could only be described as defeated and make him defiant is a tremendous difference. He's bordering on invulnerability. In the movie he gets revenge on the guy who betrayed him . In the book the guy gets away, laughs and Bond and makes it clear that Bond has little power. It's the exact opposite in the movie and the director writer clearly made a conscious decision to do so. And this isn't just me. I'm paraphrasing an academic essay that makes the same reading: that Bond in the reboot is like a superhero. It's not like I and the writer of that peer reviewed essay didn't understand the movie.
Theyungcity23 Lechiffre wouldn't actually try to hit him unconscious, he needed to hear the password from him. So he wouldn't be "on the verge of dying".
And the book is decades old, just because the same doesn't happen scene for scene doesn't make Bond a superhero. Also, the guy does get away, rewatch Quantum of Solace (or don't because that movie sucks). And really, the "guy who bertrayed him" was Vesper herself mostly.
And Bond not fearing love isn't because he's vulnerable, it's an important trait of his character. He's too confident in his skills (which was excellently hinted at when he finds the dead body of a woman he seduced for info in the 2nd act) to fear such a thing, and so when the love and bertrayal do win it hits all the harder. And even if it isn't, calling not fearing love "bordering on invulnerability" is a ridiculous hyperbole.
And feel free to say which academic essay, but I don't think it proves anything when most movie critics don't even agree with that paper. It also seems like you're unable to for your own opinion and just point at what some smart guy said. I don't even think his opinion is much more valuable than most Bond fans.
But really, you're not even stating why he seems invulnerable, just why he seems less vulnerable than in the decades old book. That's not the same thing at all.
And don't feel insulted. This is youtube, you're a big boy now, get over it.
+Generic Name This is my own opinion. It's just so happens that someone else agrees with me.
The book being old doesn't take away it's credibility. It was the written by Fleming, the guy who knows Bond best. And how do you know that most critics don't agree with that interpretation? Most critics don't talk about that aspect of the story. And you can agree with multiple interpretations of a story. Somebody having a different reading isn't an assault on you.
And you don't gently ball torture a guy. As soon as you start torturing a guy's balls in that way you are prepared to kill him.
Theyungcity23 I just don't buy that a trained agent would pass out when a guy trying to keep him conscious is smashing his balls.
And yeah, maybe it's your opinion, but you're being way too hyperbolic. Bond was more human than he'd been in decades and people still think it isn't enough. Making him a total love fearing consciousness losing pussy would have alienated everyone, I think we already got more humanity out of him than I would have ever expected.
