I have a canon m50 and about $1500….the r8 looks really enticing as I already own a nice gimbal! But all I hear is bad things about the dynamic range

I keep seeing professional photographers switching to the R8 over the R6 MKII and I’m trying to upgrade my EOS RP. Would you say for professional videography the R8 is the best deal or R6 is still gonna be a better choice with battery life and 2 SSD slots?

I bought it a month ago and noticed the next day that when shooting 4K 60FPS there was a STCK PIXEL and I was horrified and refunded my money and got it back.
The store is telling me to get another one, this is a manufacturing defect, but I was afraid and thinking about getting a Sony A73. Has anyone had the same situation?
A73 is old, if Sony then better get a newer one. As you likely have a lens already, better get a replacement unit of the Canon under warranty. It can happen to any product.

This camera game is a great idea! Go on with this, the world (including me) is waiting for the next part!👍👍👍
But if you are working with a pro workflow? The ZVE1 is the perfect camera to give to clients and non videographers on your team to go get footage instead of using their phones. You can pop in a nice custom lut put all the settings right and give it to them. The thing with the R8 is that is an end of cycle product. Once you have the R6 II and/or the C70, is the R8 all that useful?
I sold my R6ii after I got the R8 and truly didn’t like the E1. LUT import is awesome but if the body itself makes everything too complicated for me, that doesn’t do much. When I give my cameras to non-professionals to get shots of me etc., I do all the settings for them with log footage and basically just let them hold the camera.
@@pascalbasel Of you, of course. But if you are doing third party stuff the R8 falls short. The ZVE1 addresses a very particular niche, that no one has touch on before. Is for that consumer that wants PRO workflows. Workflow being the key word. You have plenty of other cameras out there to choose from for regular stuff. Slog3, LUTs, crazy high ISO( you will need that if you dont carry lights). I think its perfect for that. It's not for me either. I choose the FX30. I get FX6 workflows for less than the price of a FF lens. R7, R8, R10 I just get confused, specially panasonic is comming up with some great stuff. Sorry I used to be a Canon Fanboy. lol got frustrated, still I am.

Loved it! (ZV-E1 owner here) I do have to say when you use clear image zoom it's still above native 4k. The Ai gimmick is zooming way closer and that's why it looks so bad. :D
with clear image zoom you can do 1.5x clean zoom, which basically makes it a apsc crop. I used it a few times and it really is awesome.

ZV-E1 is a like a iPad Pro. Overkill for a vlogger. No one buys an iPad pro over a computer if you want to make videos. I have a7iv, but i bought the zv-e1 cause the a7iv is too big to bring casually to place like the club or restaurant.
Hey there is people I see getting iPad Pro for Final Cut now and forgoing a MacBook lol it’s possible apparently for some who want to travel light
