Another great video. That came out amazing. You and Patrick need to start your own Prevost lithium edition conversation. Love the video, keep it up!! Also, seeing the XL with the H3’s warms my heart. So beautiful, all of them.

Thanks! I’d be good with that, not so sure about another WS500! Lol - that one is rough - just running all the wire back. I like the XL’s better than the H’s - they are timeless and shine like no other!

Great job on the install...My bus had updated inverters installed in 18 but just stayed with the AGM's...As I understand it changing out to lithium's is simple enough but I would have to change the charge profile on the inverters to lithium...I know that they are much better but the cost is not for the faint of heart…I dry camp very little and stay tethered to electrical anyway...I have 2-4500 watt Magnum inverters in addition to a 1500 watt Vanner...24 volt system...Thanks again...Appreciate your channel...

Thanks for watching. I’d stay with what you have for sure. Profile change for the inverters and then would need to watch the alternator regulator - they are set up for lead acid. Close but think it might over charge them then your BMS would shut itself down. I think everyone should keep what they have, only update once something fails - unless you Boondock. And if you do, the solar is almost more important- which is another can of worms. Good problems for sure!

Interesting video are XL is on 12 volt we have thinking of going lithium looked at server rack battery but most don’t have cold protection with is a must were we live.

Agree. You could try heating mats or heating the bay. Lifepo4 can be used below freezing just not charged.

Amazing job! Did you wire the wakespeed to the CerboGX? Didn't see it on the screen. It plugs into vecan you just need to flip pins 78 and use terminators

Thanks for watching. I was able to get it connected. It only shows up when the engine is running. I used the cat cable from Wakespeed to connect it to the cerbo.

Interesting. My coach 1989 xl needs new vanners. All 3 vanners are pooched and needing new house batteries. Im considering an upgrade.... any ideas?

Easy would be to add 12v lifepo4. Wouldn’t need a vanner though. Will also have to consider they can’t be charged below freezing. But if you get a battery with a BMS and understand its charge and discharge parameters and know your alternator and inverter parameters- it should work fine. It gets complicated when needing 24v though.

How did the EG4 batteries fair with the road vibration? Watching some Will Prose videos comparing server rack batteries and he mentioned SOK being better built for an RV application. Did you run into any issues with the EG4s?

No. The prevost though are not really a concern - with 8 air bags and 50klbs, it glides down the road. On a different chassis it may be of concern. They are packed in the case well - terminals bolted together. Anything’s possible though. Any lifepo4 battery would be of same concern - under the case, they are all pretty much the same.
