Nexus Ghost Electrical Issues Found and Fixed RV Repair - Redodo Mini Battery

This video is of me diagnosing and fixing an electrical issue on a Nexus Ghost Super C RV Repair. I install a battery monitor, fix the electric step, install a master battery switch and install a solar box on the roof for future solar. Humidity my friend. Thats how moisture got into those solenoids. Also, over torquring a copper bolt with a steel nut is what probably caused those threads to get stretched/damaged

an awesome video!!! very interesting to see how other manufacturers do it. Dissimilar metals is a good recipe for corrosion...we engineer control it out of the equation at the refineries.
Ive learned to hate solenoids hahahaha.

Why RV companies are still using these old relay is amazing. As they draw 2 amps just to close the circuit.. You can buy Solid State ones for the same price and they draw .25mA..

I can’t figure out the need for the relay for joining the start and house batteries. When reading the program for the controller, seems it would always be energized…. Agree on the new tech. Seems the RV industry is 20 years behind on most all fronts.

Btw that solenoid disconnects when not charging so house doesnt drain starter.

Could the corrosion be caused by using dissimilar metals? ie copper bolts and metal nuts? I know with plumbing that's a no-no

It was called a drok off Amazon. Was only $50 bucks.
