Fallout 4 was my first console game after many years of not playing games during college. The first game I bought and played on my brand new PS4 at the time. I have like 300+ hours in it and it will always hold a special place in my heart!
I heard there is a PS4 exclusive Mod called "Fenway Apartments". Its a pretty neat mod giving the player a clean modern apartment with workbenches and many storage containers. Its location is also very convenient too. I can't use the mod myself since I'm a PC player.
I am sure this is on pc but if you didn't know you should have just waited a week as the next gen update is dropping on the 25th and will add more content to the game and I am sure this also includes for PC

36:00 Technically you are not supposed to be able to use V.A.T.S. until you get your Pip-Boy as it requires one (Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System) however they forgot to disable it at the start of the game, sooo. you can use it if you know to or accidentally press the right button.
if you ever want some more L O R E , you can up the intro again and click around the house. Gives some more insight into your MC’s life … and more ammunition to cry over Gill 🤣

I started playing fallout 4 again recently and I totally killed the chem dealers without even talking to them LOL. It's so fun watching you play for the first time.
The intro shows someone actually using VATS so I'm in. While not really serious at VATS use being the seller, it's really surprising how few people seem to discover it until much later in the game if ever.
the scene where Kellogg (the ahole who shot your hubby) leans in and shows you his face so you can remember it, you were staring at the ceiling and shaking your fists so you missed it 😂😂😂
That's not MacCready, that's Kellogg. MacCready is a companion voiced by Matt Mercer (Beckett in Vampire: The Masquerade, Minsc in BG3). Kellogg is... not a companion, and he's voiced by Keythe Farley (Thane Krios in Mass Effect). I put the voice actors in for Ms. Basic.
Hey Basic, im not sure how far in you are, or if anyone has tokd you. Throw points in the perk Scrounger, youll find ammo in cheats you find ao you dont have to spend 'as much' on ammo. Rank it up enough and you'll be tripping over ammo lol
I’d play a bit of New Vegas as well, as the show takes place in California and New Vegas connects with California won’t spoil anything) but the show makes many references which you’d probably get if you played New Vegas

Talk to Mama Murphy while you are WITH the Dogmeat so she can name him and also companion also dog can carry stuff for you. Also it is MUCH easier playing it from first person especially for aiming things, as you experienced in combat you missed loads of shots when you aimed on that turret because you were aiming from window and gun was hitting wall... A/D switching targets for other characters too. Save more often....
I'm going to assume the frag grenades in the mail box with the bones was likely someone who tried to hide in the trashcan and died with a few grenades on them. LOL
Did anybody consider that they needed to build some parking space around the Vaults if they expected people to get to the Vaults? Were people just supposed to sell all their possessions and homes and move right to the Vaults immediately upon buying them (essentially what you do in the beginning of this game...luckily the bombs fall immediately upon buying)? Otherwise, how does Vault-Tec think their customers are going to get to the 122 available Vaults? Yours fortunately was built apparently just up the street. Lucky you.
I'm not sure but I think your camera inset picture might be blocking the lower right corner of the screen for you. This is where you will see how much ammo you have in your gun. Its helpful information especially whenever you forget to reload.
I don't think she's playing on the stream program, I think she just has an incredible lack of game sense. She misses some pretty blatant UI elements quite often.
They tried to copy the mass effect dialogue system and it flopped hard. I think the game was brilliant and had an amazing world, and the settlement building was revolutionary at the time… But they gave the player almost no freedom of choice (you’re either a good guy or a sarcastic good guy) and dumbed down a lot of the most important mechanics and systems that made previous games so memorable and replayable

I think she doesn't know that the United States are the villains of the saga. The elimination of Canadian prisoners of war by federal soldiers during the Canadian Annexation War and the invasion of Alaska by Chinese paratroopers are the most impressive scenes in the Fallout games.

@@basicwitgirl it's essential simply because it's the only way you get critical hits. Save your critical hits to strike them in the head with vats it cannot miss.
The settlement building function is intimidating at first, but well worth the effort to learn. Your settlers can earn you caps (money), collect resources, and even give you some offensive capabilities down the line. Not to mention that parts of the storyline require at least SOME settlement building, and many quests emanate from certain citizens. You can set up stores of different types, and that's helpful because any one store has only a set amount of caps to spend buying the things you loot, so the more vendors available, the better. Of course, how far down the settlement-building rabbit hole you go is entirely up to you, but it does make certain aspects of the game easier in the long run to spend some time learning the system and making improvements. and I say this as someone who doesn't really dig things like Minecraft and sim-type games. I only build a little bit more than is absolutely necessary.
Funny how if the game actually allowed you to handle the Vault-Tec rep the way you did (closing the door on him midway lmao) you'd probably be dead in 2 minutes
Why is the NPC dialogue rushing through itself? Did the new update screw that up in classic Bethesda fashion? Edit: OK so apparently this has been a bug for a very long time and there are ways to fix it. But yeah the NPC dialogue for you is bugged. They shouldn’t be starting the next line before the first line even finishes. If you’re fine with how it is then more power to you, but it’s a bit of an immersion breaker in an already broken enough game. Also, if you do get into mods, get the unofficial patch first. It fixes a big number of bugs and glitches that the Bethesda devs couldn’t be bothered to fix themselves.

This game made a lot of fans angry (including me) when the opening was shown pre-release as it was the first ever Fallout 4 game that didn't have Ron Perlman narrate the opening. Granted, he he did show up as the newscaster in the pre-war sequence, so he wasn't absent from the game, but he's been the narrator for DECADES so not hearing him in the opening made us all mad.

They actually miss 2 Batons inside the Vault. But it's Ok because then they can waste ammo on roaches and other bugs and small animals.
