  • Customer had already installed a built 455 Pontiac engine in this Trans am. We built the twin turbo kit using Precision turbos.
We used 2 x 650 CFM intercooler cores and built custom end tanks to fit them under the head lights.
The aluminum piping uses Vanjen clamps we welded on the inside for a cleaner look.
The dual 3" down pipes have the waste gates recirculated back in.
We build everything custom, you design it or let us loose with our own ideas.

NICE WORK! I built a '73 custom limited edition Formula. Was built already factory HP for a Chinese kid at the High School I had went to, whose dad own a Chinese restaurant in town, then I bought it after he got bored of it. I was in my early 20's at the time and worked as an Operations Manager at a transmission shop for a short skit, and the transmission builder took a liken to my car for some added work. Kept the laqure pear white paint and the hand painted quarter inch red pin striping by the "Butcher", but after all said and done. Well, didn't have time to see what the top speed was before my roommate wrecked it at a desert party without my permission while I was away at management school. Did manage to get it over 185 going through Colorado, before seeing a white 80's Mustang police interceptor under a highway underpass about a mile up, or so. Had my boss in the car, who had a grip on the grab bar in front of him like Jim Candy, on Planes,Trains, and Automobile movie. Well who else would be in the middle of the desert underneath an underpass in the middle of the afternoon, but a Lone Star Cowboy? So, I had to let off the gas and pulled over two miles after I had past him. He had clocked me climbing over 185 and I had a lot more room to go before having to shut her down. See I was going in to town traveling from Arizona going the North route to New York, otherwise I would not have bothered to stop at all. He gave me his story about a choice he made of two given to him by some judge on how he became a Highway patrol guy and a '57 Chevy that got him into trouble a lot. His first question to me was. You mind telling me how fast you were going? I answered. At least 65! He had his laugh for that day and said. I can't get you for lieing. Gave me a ticket for 65, however he never turned it in. Let me go with a wave and said keep this plane on the ground. That's how I noticed you getting airborne over the long dips in the road, and the sparks coming out from my custom skid plates.
Low profile 50 all around. 7-1/2 rims in front and 8 in the back custom built 400 turbo trans, 400 motor with steel timing chain, a rear end switch all original white interior. The rest, well I want to build another one. Same year, but trunk built in spoiler like the Porches. Linked, and why I'm here looking at yours, a custom built twin tubo motor. I'm reaching for another personal verily legal Rally ride for the highway, that will out maneuver and outperform most anything built for these rich kids, who think their German Autobaun slick cruisers are the bomb. That is once I get enough money for the build. Till then I'll just keep on looking for ideas from watching these video's. Thanks for the memories friend and you keep on building motors that can make cars fly! 😎

Went to your channel to see a follow up on this car. Nothing, but mostly imports. Guess that's all there is for interest these days, and where the $ is. Glad to see the owner of this car had enuff sense to make it 3 pedals.

I too have been kicking around the idea of TT my old bird.... Real world question here since it is PONCHO powered. How creative did you have to get for the exhaust? I see the exhaust tubes running outside the framerail by the firewall. Is there just not enough "open" real estate otherwise? Does this configuration impeded the full turn/tire width allowable on the front?

was trying to tell of what and how you did the headers, if you have any info or pics or any info that can help me do this same style setup for the exhaust would be helpful, cause we all know the 2ed gen trans am headers and area to work with is very limited. thanks for the video we all love that work sir!!!

The Joe Biden commercial make me laugh. They don’t even edit his speaking error. 🤣 Poor rich guy.
On to business. I have a 71 formula 400 automatic 3.42s RA III (if you will) heads cam and it’s much stronger than my 94 Z28 M6. I also have a 73 455 TA M4 (auto atm) with #96 heads from the 400 and summit 2801 cam. Both have recurved dist and headers, jetted factory q-jet. The 455 is at least as much stronger than the 400 as the 400 is stronger than the LT1 Z (which had hypertech, flowmaster, k&n and B&M. I can not imagine the torque of a 455 with boost. My 455 with 3.08 on good tires burns into 2nd half way through an intersection and stays lit until drive which is ridiculous. I know here are stronger engines but damn a proper 455 turbo must be a monster. I hope you enjoyed the reading lol damn, can’t help it. 🤷‍♂️oh the Z went 13.86@100.4 on a slow 60’ had .70s in it fo sho.
Formula went 13.50@104 and had a .45 in it
The TA is yet to make it but I could see from 13.2 down to 12.80. Idk on mph because sometimes those torque monsters move hard early and Peter out to slow mph... but I did stay even with a C6 LS2 auto from 60-110ish. They go like 13.0-13.20 I think. Spanked a kid with a new hemi. Launched with just enough pedal to equal but stay hooked well and and walked him. Just made it squall to put in his head it was meaner than it was lol like I could barely get traction 🍺

i want to but your 71! undervalued year compared to 70. the formula also undervalued to trans am but better! yeah! I had a 68 Fbird 400 with RA II heads. Kept the heads and now they are on my '65 gto with a 350 pontiac because at 72 cc it makes 9.5:1 compression. I know about the valve shrouding but it seems to still be a crazy 350 which is a 360 and still seems to have about 400 HP at 6k
