Blow up chairs would be great in the library. Thinking of my calming corner, only one kid goes in at a time so the cushions would be better used in the cozy library 🙂

I’m so glad I came across your videos! I’m going into my fourth year teaching and just had an awful year last year and I’m trying to refind my teacher spirit by watching these videos. I’m in a new district this year, so lots to do but also rejuvenating to be somewhere positive.

I love your library setup I do have one concern with your wall hanging over that outlet you might want to put those kid proof clear plugs in it. Sorry I just see a electrical fire happening just want you to be on the safe side.

A little hack for you, glue lids go missing all the time so keep the lids whenever u throw away glue sticks in a container and also have hair ties and clips kids always need them 😀

I know i am late to watch your series of setting your classroom up but I have been binge watching the whole series ever since I saw the day 1 of setting up your classroom
You could organize your library so the top 2 shelves on both are the green baskets and the bottom shelf on both are the black bins.
You should make a little part of your board for like “Awesome Work!”
I think the blow up seats would look good in the reading area. Also, something to consider would be securing the mirror so if a kid is extremely upset and kicks out or hits in frustration, they don't knock it down hurting themselves or others.

You should put the rainbow seats in the library and put only pillows in the calm corner so you can use the lap desk because with the rainbow seats you cant use the desks (you could also keep the box of toys on/under the lap desks)

It has been JOY watching all of your classroom set-ups. Your room looks GREAT and your students will LoVe it! Not sure if you stated where your student work would 🤔 be. Maybe hang up WOW Work on the board where the student station will be. I know my students really like seeing their work hung up in the classroom as well as in the hallway.

It’s so cute!! How smart to separate the subject cards from the time cards on your schedule! I am going to do that…then when I have to flip flop two areas, it’s a super easy change on the schedule! Some of my students have autism so they are all about the schedule! Also…let me share a product another teacher told me about!! It’s a roll of magnetic tape. I got it from Amazon. It’s not like a roll that you cut and peel. It comes in a dispenser that’s purple with a cutting edge. It’s adhesive like tape on one side and magnetic!! I am obsessed with it! Look up Xyron Magnetic Tape. 😍

Love your set up so far. Just an idea but on the shelves above your library you could Velcro some fabric to make curtains to cover them. I’m planning on doing that to some of my shelves once I’m able to get into my room.

Is this your classroom every year?
I suggest not organizing the books in the green bins because once those kids touch them they are going to be unorganized it. Second thing you should have a stack of line paper, unless the kids will have their own, so that they can grab it if they want to color or take notes for something.

On your schedule, what does class 1, class 2, class 3 mean and why do you have only class 1 twice?
we rotate classes! and the first class is in 2 parts because the kids go to specials in the middle of the first block
