2010-2012 Spyder RT Key Programming

This is only for 2010-2013 RT. I do not know if this works the same on a RS or ST.
So I got a dealer master key so I could program into the ECM extra factory BRP keys for not only me but friends. What I found is that the BRP service manual is SERIOUSLY incorrect on this procedure! At least for my 2011 using a 2010/2011 BRP service manual. I have to say this is not the first time I found the service manual to be wrong about something!
When I could not get it to work per the instructions and now only had one key working, I starting trying different procedures until I figured it out.
1) Service manual does not tell you to press mode.
2) Service manual says next key when the screen never says that!
3) You can successfully program only one key but this leaves you in a error condition and your battery will drain if parked for 1-2 weeks!
4) If only one key is programmed the Spyder will run longer than 2 minutes which does not match the service manual.
5) You cannot just add a key! Once you program the first one you have to reprogram all your keys or they will not work.
#3 and #4 are important to you. If a dealer did not do this right you could be left in a condition where your battery dies in 1-2 weeks parked!
