Guys if you have problems with the ink being too light , get a gel ink pen. It works super good!
i have a problem with my ink drying too quickly before i apply it and i have been struggling for an hour to get it to stick
@@rebecca.annnne use parchment paper or wax paper. that's what I use to do back in the day lol the gel ink will transfer nice and dark 👍🏼

Awww my just got out about a month ago and we've been diy tattooing at home. I bought the kit last year during quarantine and that's one of his first questions he asked was where I put my gear. I did my own tattoo using his method and it turned out perfect. It didn't get infected at all. But when he put the play button in the middle of the video i almost pressed play! LOL

Great! Didn't know balled point pen ink would transfer with a deodorant stick:) Great when you have limited supplies:) Also if there is sunlight during the day you could also put images against the window to trace the reverse side but great if you need tattoo in the evening:) Or use a clear 8x 10 clear plastic card photo holder hold it near a light source to trace the reverse side of an image:)

@@wokeavocado2199 I’ll reply for you, if you’re using sterile equipment and you make sure the area is clean then 95% of infections have to do with after care. For the first few days I wash it with antibacterial soap when I wake up then every time I use the restroom, then ointment before bed. Once the tattoo starts to get dry and peeling I swap to lubriderm.
You have to really fuck up to get an infection with this method. My father was a professional tattoo artist for 20 years. Hope I helped 😀

A mix of beeswax and coconut oil also works on replacement of deodorant
Hi Joe :) Question - after I apply the stencil and let it dry I always put some petroleum jelly on my skin right before tatooing, but the stencil then comes off very easily while I'm mid way into the tattoo... What am I doing wrong? Should I not put petroleum jelly on the skin before tattooing?

i guess you you have to use thick kind of paper unless your design might rip apart when you trace it, i recommend to use construction paper or a4 size clear paper will do... its very effective thanks for the trick man this thing helped me a lot of finding a budget free stencil... good job nice idea...
i do have one question .. the only issue ive been having with stencils is when i wipe the tattoo ink the stencil goes too. will the stencil stay on the skin with this method?
Do you wait at least 10 minutes before you start ?
the stencile wipes away regardless, even with professional tattoo artists, that's why you always start at the bottom of the tattoo so when the stencile wipes away you'll have already finished that bit of the tattoo.
Dab, don’t wipe. Stencils will always wipe away, no matter how expensive or fancy. Just part of it

Ray_ Ray no it has to be roll on because spray on is a liquid and will make the graphite run

The first time it WORKED for me was not using any deodorant, and I didn't have any alcohol so I just sprayed *a little of perfume* on my arm, waited a couple seconds and then put the stencil on and pressed for a while.
Deodorant NEVER worked for me, and I've tried like every damn deodorant at the store 😂
It should be a clear solid deoderant, not white, gel or spray. Also, make sure it's deodorant instead of antiperspirant. The chemicals are very very different.
@@RosieBrownie : That's because your perfume may contain glycol. You need to use clear deodorant that contains glycol such as Old Spice.
