    I just hope this years Trooping of the colour isn’t a washout .. early indications suggest Britain’s weather this summer might be the wettest summer since 1912 .. pray for good weather everyone

      It could have been a combination of the heat and the excitement. That's nice that they took them back and allowed them to rest. The 1st one looked wrung out. The 2nd one was completely wound up. To me, neither is good. So lovely to see the horses so well cared for. Made me feel good to see it.

      They were on BBC news last night looking great. That's all due to the wonderful work by veterinary staff and Soldiers . They are currently at The Horse Trust having respite and lots of fun

    They could have been too unsettled, it only takes one to set the others off. Safer for everyone if they are taken away and rested.

    I’m assuming the injection is if the horses become too anxious and it’s something to calm them down for transporting them but it is just an assumption

    • @maryschleifer7082
      @maryschleifer7082 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on what they use. Some meds can react to the horses' adrenaline, which can cause increased anxiety.

      Sometimes they just don't feel like working and unlike human employees, their moods are taken seriously and they are removed for their safety as well as for the safety of the other horses and troopers. Not a good idea to try to keep a grumpy 1000 employee working when he/she isn't feeling it.

    So why does one of them have a needle in her hand- while the horses walking around nervously- the last horse with one white back right side foot n very small white mark on his forelock -he is one of the sweetest one there I know , so when they went into the truck who gave the shot to the horse or did they do both of them n why?

      Why indeed? Everyone says how well trained they are, but they won’t stand still, they barge into their handlers, which is basic training for all horses

      @@barbaraedwards1536 If it is feeling unwell - maybe a touch of colic, then it will be agitated and in pain. Injection might have been pain relief. They are like humans and other animals - when in pain, they return to basic instinct.
      Think when you bang your head hard - you want to react, swear, lash out. Same thing for any animal in pain. And in herd situations, an injured or animal in pain can take themselves away from the herd.

    Sòme of these horses could do with some training in natural horsemanship as they have no respect on the ground. They walk right through the troopers and don't learn to stand and respect their space. Im not saying they are not well looked after but they would be a lot easier to handle on the ground.

    Whoever is responsible for the Training of both Horses & Riders needs to be removed - the Ability of the Riders (especially their "Seat") & Posture is appalling, & the Horses are not Public Ready - the South Australian Mounted Police Department were Superior to this Lot back in the 70's, 80's & probably even now, so it shows the lack of Knowledge & DISCIPLINE is affecting all aspects of Professions.
