You explained this in such a simple and easy to understand way. The pictures of the expressions of different genes really helps someone new to pigeons (like myself) know what these genes really are.

I have had pigeons for a very long time but never got into the genetics for colour. I also breed chickens and I am very much in the colour genetics with them. This was a very interesting video I enjoyed it very much but I still need to learn more I guess from the basics .

I postponed my emancipation due to my childhood pigeon love affairs.I am over 50 now.I do not know the language, I use translate.
I love all kinds of pigeons. But now the color pigeons are interested in me.You gave good information about the multicolored.

No, I do not mix breeds. I actually keep immaculate records, my pedigrees and records go back to the 1940s. The pigeons I have without rings were bred by other breeders.
That being said, you might be interested to know that the modern racing homer is a very recently developed breed (late 1800s), made up of many crosses.

@@AdamArcherPigeons I called my friend to confirm, you are right I was mistaken he got 50% almonds, thank you so much!
So if I understand you correctly, from the other 50% which are not almond he will never get almond even if he crosses them between each other?
      Thanks again

@@isyaha correct. The only way to get an almond from them is to pair them to an almond, the young will get the gene from the almond parent.

Thank you for the video mate❤
Please guide us on how to breed kites
    Is kite a gene
    Or combination of genes
And there is different types of almonds there
    Like qualmond
Can a qualmond be used to breed classic almonds?
Hoping for another video on almonds or stippers

I'll do a different video on the Stipper alleles like Qualmond, but yes, Kite is a single gene.
