My grandmother tried to teach me very basic dance techniques in my mom’s house and once she thought I had some potential, she started paying for my ballet and tap classes. I’m 36 now and still making the majority of my living off dancing lol Thank you Fred ❤

All these rhythms are taken from African culture, but again I truly don't want to take away the added style and grace Fred Astaire and others brought to it. They gave their added gift to the culture and that's what God is saying you teach one to teach another 💖💖💖🎉🎉🎉🙌🙌🌹🌹🌹

@@patrickhenry2845I’d like to know who considered Fred Astaire a great dance partner. So much focus on him when Eleanor Powell, Cyd Charisse, etc. were as talented, if not more so. Wonder if ol’ Fred could have danced in high heels the way those ladies did.
@hollygolightly8048 Fred Astaire had a sister named Adele. They were dance partners for entertainment beginning around the year 1917. She was considered a better dancer than Ginger Rodgers and her brother Fred. They went to England to entertain and knocked the British out of their seats with their dancing routines. Adele met a man who was a Royal there. They fell in love, married, and moved into living quarters in a Castle. That ended the brother/sister Duo. Cyd Charisse danced with Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly. There was no woman in Hollywood who could dance as sensuous and artistic as Cyd Charisse. I can see why Fred said she was his best dancing partner in Hollywood. Eleanor Powell and Rita Hayworth have to be in the mix, too. Unfortunately, there are no film clips of Fred and Adele dancing together.
My Mom was a Rita Hayworth look-a-like. She and my Dad (a Naval Officer who survived Pearl Harbor) married in May 1942 after 2 months of “courting”. (There was a war on, you know). They are both gone now but this little clip reminded me of their times. She loved these old classic movies! Thanks for sharing. 👍🏻

I used to love watching tap dancing when I was a kid.. still do really.
